@codenameduchess that's great news! May your appetite continue to return. The baby obviously needs pickled onions Grin

How lovely of your dh @TheChineseChicken 😍

I'm finding a love of food and craving all the bad things, mostly chips, pickled onions and cheese and onion crisps! the bloat is still pretty bad and I look about 20 weeks 🙈

TheChineseChicken · 26/05/2019 08:14

Morning ladies, how are we all? Did you have lovely sunshine yesterday? I met a friend for lunch and a matinee in London and it was gorgeous. Currently having some breakfast and a (decaf) coffee in bed (thanks DH). My sleeping is dreadful at the moment, I suppose due to progesterone. I'm already getting up to wee in the night then toss and turn. It doesn't bode well that I am already knackered at 4.5 weeks. I guess you have to be careful what you wish for...

What do you all have planned for today / tomorrow?

Sorry for all those who are off food, that is not fun. Hope it passes soon. Problem with pregnancy symptoms is that when you don't them, you want them, and when you do, you don't!

Sorry @codenameduchess - just seen your comment they can't tell from a blood test coz I already have a wrong chromosome so I already have the condition they take fluid from the placenta and have to analyse it - it's awful but if it's good I can find out the gender and they check for every other chromosomal abnormality too which they don't normally do unless you are a high risk for anything! Xx

MummyBearBoo · 23/05/2019 07:40

I'm the same @Ells0204 - I don't even want chips at dinner time and usually I love chips!! I have to try and eat most of the calories before dinner time coz that's when I fell most sick but I can't have big meals coz then I feel sick after I eat so I just have a few small meals - I also can't eat til after 10am in the morning coz I feel sick first thing - I get horrendous stomach pains if I don't eat and feel shaky! Just try and force yourself to eat small amounts and more importantly sip water you need your fluids even if you can't drink a lot all at once just have sips!

Ells0204 · 22/05/2019 22:34

@pinkstar01 literally been “off” food for the past 6 weeks too! There hasn’t been a single thing that I’ve fancied, like @mummybearboo said you kind of have to force your way through it otherwise if you don’t eat you feel even more rotten. It’s a horrific cycle, I can’t wait to just want food again!
Right now I’m actually just eating to survive, not because I want to 😫

MummyBearBoo · 22/05/2019 22:10

@pinkstar01 -I was the same before I hit six week but I actually found that forcing myself to eat something actually helped! I was 6 weeks Monday and since I started forcing myself to eat 3 Times a day even if it's just something small I only get sickness when I rush around or in the evening so just have to rest after doing stuff and lay down after dinner! Eat small and often is best!! Xx

pinkstar01 · 22/05/2019 21:13

Im 6 weeks tomorrow and struggling with nausea for the last few days! I feel like the next 6 weeks will be torture if this keeps up! Nothing seems to be working...gone off food completely

MummyBearBoo · 22/05/2019 20:35

My morning sickness starts in the evening but I have to try and eat anyway even tho I feel sick and not at all hungry otherwise I get really bad hunger pains and feel dizzy the next day!! Xx

codenameduchess · 22/05/2019 17:24

@Ells0204 I had it until about 30 weeks with dd... hoping this time is doesn't last quite as long! It's nice to know we're not alone haha
It is nice to feel a bit more pregnant @TheChineseChicken I was very happy to get the first waves of nausea, kind of miss proper food now though- my hormones will only tolerate pickled onions, Red Leicester cheese and tomato soup 🤦‍♀️

That must be a very strange feeling having that hanging over you @MummyBearBoo, would the blood tests like the harmony be able to tell you sooner?

TheChineseChicken · 22/05/2019 15:40

@Ells0204 the irony is that I want the sickness to kick in so I feel more pregnant!

@TheChineseChicken I'm ok the CP didn't last that long anyway just trying to stay positive but being terrified at the same time of a) not making it to 11 weeks or b) making it to 11 weeks but then getting bad news!! How are you doing?
@Ells0204 -thanks hope your sickness subsides soon!
Xx

Ells0204 · 22/05/2019 14:12

@mummybearboo you’re doing so well so far, it seems like forever but to be honest my scan has actually come round so quickly if I think about it and hopefully yours will too! Keeping my fingers crossed for you

@codenameduchess I am sorry to say this but I’m glad someone else is still suffering into week 12 with nausea at least I know I’m not alone Confused fed up of seeing people who are like wooo my sickness has finally gone at 10 weeks! I’m just like...what?! How?!

TheChineseChicken · 22/05/2019 13:11

@MummyBearBoo that must feel like a cloud over your head. I so hope it's all ok Thanks How are you feeling about the pregnancy in general after the CPs? I'm not sure my mental health will survive until next January Blush
