Sorry to see new faces here, hopefully your stay with us will be brief!

Congrats @FrillyFarmer!

Argh organising this FET cycle is such a PITA! Between them the old clinic and the new clinic are messing up a lot of things and we're in danger of missing this cycle entirely due to not everything being in place. So stressful!

Avocuddles · 22/06/2019 15:57

@Izabelus I remember you from the other thread, so sorry that you've found yourself here. Taking time off work sounds like a really sensible idea. I only took two days and regret it now as I was a complete mess, I think I was hoping that it would distract me from what I was going through but in retrospect I should have definitely taken longer to focus on me.

@AliceRR haha well done on getting another session in! Because of my uncertain cycles we've been working on an extra other day approach throughout the month. This is my first (already long) cycle post MC but I used them for four or five months before we were referred for fertility treatment and never saw a solid smiley in the entire period. I fell pregnant the month that I stopped testing and we stopped 'trying' so frequently as by that point we'd assumed nothing was going to happen without medical help. It's hard now knowing whether I'll be conceive naturally again or whether we were just particularly lucky that month. I'm crossing my fingers for the first one! x

I'm so sorry @Pop1234 I was under the impression Edwards Syndrome is pretty rare. Surely unlikely this could happen again. I really hope you get some answers from Dr Shehata! xx

Pop1234 · 22/06/2019 14:25

Had my results through today for the testing on my 4th miscarriage tissue and it was Edwards syndrome. It doesn't say anything about my previous 3 miscarriages, and just tells me it's highly unlikely to happen again and to try again.

Can anybody offer any advice on this? If Edwards is the reason for my 4th miscarriage, could it have been the reason for the other 3 too? I just feel so confused with it all. Luckily I've got my follow up appointment on Wednesday with Dr Shehata so I can ask him too. But I can't help but just feel disappointed with the NHS yet again.

FirstTimeMama91 · 22/06/2019 12:57

@AliceRR thank you xx

AliceRR · 22/06/2019 12:53

@Avocuddles Last cycle I used CB in the mornings and One Step at night. My reasoning was I already had OSs, they’re cheap and they specify to use in the afternoon / evening (I think) whereas CB specifies FMU. I’m glad I used OS as otherwise I’d have missed my peak but using CB twice a day might help. This cycle I got one day flashing and then static smiley so it may have been cause it was my first time using them last month. Is it your first cycle using CB?

We dtd this morning. I think yesterday was too much as we did it before bed and then again in the morning. I think once in 24 hours is about our limit! 😬

Congratulations on your BFP @FirstTimeMama91

FirstTimeMama91 · 22/06/2019 12:25

@Izabelus thank you. Sorry you're here. Fx for you xx

Izabelus · 22/06/2019 12:16

Hello girls! Hi @Avocuddles, I remember your nickname from the other thread, I'm really sorry that we are meeting here again. I'm sure it will work out for us soon too! x Congratulations @FirstTimeMama91! Wishing you all the best.
I've been watching this thread as I sadly had a MMC a few weeks ago. It was my first pregnancy and I just instinctively felt that something was wrong and went to the EPU to discover that there was no heartbeat at 9 weeks and the baby probably died the week before. It was heartbreaking. I read that MMC are very rare but then after talking to a few people it seems that everyone either knows someone who has gone through it or they've gone through it themselves! It's definitely not talked about enough. I had the ERPC 3 weeks ago but I haven't gone back to work yet... I really needed to take time off to look after myself for a while. Anyway, that's a lot of rambling so sorry for the long post but it's about time I say hi to you! Hope you are all doing well! x

FirstTimeMama91 · 22/06/2019 12:08

Thank@Catconfusion hopefully yours will be soon too xx

Catconfusion · 22/06/2019 12:05

Avocuddles · 22/06/2019 11:50

@FirstTimeMama91 congratulations!!! Glad it's all looking good for you, hope this is s lovely sticky bean that will grow into your rainbow x

Avocuddles · 22/06/2019 11:48

@Catconfusion looks good though I suspect I might get a bit addicted to testing! Hmm I've also been recommended easy at home which I think does something similar? Will invest once this cycle / holidays are out of the way x

FirstTimeMama91 · 22/06/2019 11:48

Hi ladies, after what I thought was a messed up cycle, I got my BFP yesterday. Hoping this little bean sticks and wishing you all the luck and baby dust StarStarStar
This group has been amazing for support, thank you girls xxx

I'd definitely try that @Avocuddles also the premom app is really good because it automatically reads to results to tell you if you've got a peak. You get this...xxx

@Catconfusion @AliceRR @Lilimum7 I've always tested in the morning but might try a switch to the evening? I'll give it up to nine flashing smiley days days and then stop. We're off on holiday in two weeks time so if this isn't going to be our month I just hope AF comes before then so I know where I stand! Once I've worked through my remaining stash of CBs think I'll move to another (cheaper!) brand so I can test twice a day without breaking the bank!

@AliceRR that sounds like more than enough BD, hopefully yesterday's swimmers will have done the job.... fingers are crossed for you xx

Lilimum7 · 22/06/2019 09:26

@Catconfusion itoo have found this so I use cbfm am ic afternoon and cbdigi ovulation before bed. I always get a peak before bed before the monitor registers it as peak. So my guess is the LH surge starts mid am but does show up in urine until afternoon evening and as mines fairly long I can still pick it up the next morning.
I don't think am testing is reliable for me.

@pinkoi I had a similar strange period last month and it turned out to be an early af. My cycles are still not regular since having my daughter in February

@DuvetCaterpillar Thanks. I am ok and I’d happily see her baby again as it was lovely to see her but it definitely had an impact as I keep thinking about it.

@Avocuddles I think the instructions say you probably won’t get a static smiley after 9 days of flashing smileys. Last cycle I got ten flashing smileys (ten consecutive days) and then gave up but I had been testing with One Step in an evening and got a positive on that. CB didn’t detect the surge but it was my first cycle using them.

I got my static smiley yesterday morning but was partly expecting it as I had lots of ewcm the day before. We dtd a couple of days ago, the night before static smiley and yesterday morning. Sorry TMI but I think that’s enough? I don’t have it in me to BD again and yesterday was hard work 🙈 but then seems “wrong” if I’m missing ovulation day (which I think was yesterday but could be today)

Catconfusion · 22/06/2019 08:53

Sorry for cross posting @Avocuddles I've heard some ladies miss the LH surge with clear blue when testing in the morning. I've only ever got peaks on cheapies in the evening. I find temping with Ovusense far more reliable at confirming when ovulation has happened. I was convinced I didn't ovulate too but with Ovusense I've found I do just very sporadically. I'd thoroughly recommend it. Xx

Catconfusion · 22/06/2019 08:50

Oh no @Lilimum7 that sounds uncomfortable. Good to hear they don't affect your fertility and you don't need treatment.

I had a mmc in February so my ovaries and womb were thoroughly checked. I have pcos so was surprised to hear there were no cysts on my ovaries. Apparently they can clear up with pregnancy though. Previous scans years ago before I was pregnant showed poly cystic. I know it's not the same as having an ovarian cyst though. Can they grow quickly? I'm just wondering if the hormones from the mmc and then cp in the next cycle have caused one to grow. It's a strange pain: sharp and niggling. I usually get ovulation pain but not for this long. Interesting when I was pregnant I had it for a few days just after finding out. I was convinced ectopic but it wasn't. I think the moral of the story is miscarriages mess you up. It's just very unfair! Xx

Avocuddles · 22/06/2019 08:43

Hi ladies, sorry so many of you are feeling confused or uncertain at the moment.

I've been using clearblue opks for the past week and have now had flashing smilies for five days in a row. How long would you keep testing with the flashing ones before giving up for the month? In the past I've gone as long as ten consecutive flashing days without ever getting a solid one and it looks like I'm heading the same way again, as I've mentioned before the month I got pregnant was the month that I didn't test because and I and the doctors had reached a point where we convinced that I never ovulated. I'd kind of naively hoped that after the miscarriage my body might decide to have more 'normal' cycles, in spite of the fact that they really weren't before. I guess only time will tell....

Lilimum7 · 22/06/2019 08:31

@Catconfusion I have a cyst on my left ovary, it's about 2cm. It was found back in March 18 but gynaecology told me they don't worry about them unless they are over 3cm or growing rapidly. Apparently they do not affect fertility either. I usually get more pain straight after ovulation for about 10 days, if its a bfn it usually settles but when I'm pregnant it continues to give me sharp stabby pains especially if that's the side that ovulation happened. As for a scan on your ovaries and while your there you could ask the sonographer to do I little check on your womb just for good measure.

That's a good sign @Lilimum7 as I've heard that can be a sign of low progesterone.

I think I might need to see a doctor. I'm still spotting and had sharp ovary pain for about a weak. I'm worried it's a cyst. Just want AF to start now as my chances probably aren't great with such a poor temp rise. I'm just hovering at the cover line. xx

I'm sorry @pinkoi you're having troubles too. I wish it could be easier for us. xx

Lilimum7 · 21/06/2019 21:16

@Catconfusion no not had spotting at all this cycle.
@pinkoi sorry your having a confusing time too
