@InDreamland I haven't started yet but trying to get booked in for my first appointment in the next couple of weeks. Will let you know how I get on once my first session is booked! Did they tell you how many sessions you should do? Interesting changes - and extra ewcm is always a good thing! Also glad to hear they're relaxing - definitely need more of that in my life atm!

Yukka · 29/05/2019 22:17

@indreamland saw the thread and skipped past it, knew it would annoy me. Loads of people asked me at work if ive timed this pregnancy with our financial year to maximise the time off and holidays....ffs

Avocuddles · 29/05/2019 22:14

@InDreamland I completely agree! I've been back in work for 2 days since my MC, a couple of people know but the majority don't and the number of unintentionally insensitive comments that I'm hearing is crazy. I've been blocking them out for months after struggling to conceive but there seem to be more than ever now, be it a colleague just back from paternity leave moaning about things, or another one who is soon to be married smugly talking about his perfectly timed conception plans with the wife to be. I hope none of these people ever have to feel the pain that we're going through but also wish they could have a little more tact!

@InDreamland it's honestly just ignorant bliss - I can't read shit like that anymore because it gives me rage.

My DS is a September baby and my bus is full of smug mums who actually timed conception for then. And my friend (THAT friend) couldn't believe I would try in March because "who wants a Christmas baby". I'm flawed anyone gives that much of a shit but it's an ignorant bliss none of us on this thread will ever be able to enjoy.

My DH tried to console me after MC2 by suggesting perhaps my MCs were boys and it's fate bringing me a girl as we already have a little boy. I know he was trying to help but I just wanted to poke him in the eye. Surely after being with me a decade and living this with me, he knows I don't care what sex it would be.

InDreamland · 29/05/2019 21:52

Really irritated seeing that thread about timing TTC with the school year in mind so the kid is oldest in the year. I had to post something. People should only want to aim for a healthy full term live birth. That's the only important thing IMHO.

InDreamland · 29/05/2019 21:50

@AliceRR that's why I prefer DTD in the evening so that I'm lying down for hours after (asleep) ......rather than in the morning when I have to get up early so never can lie down for 20 mins after. At least it's not uncommon to leak some of the fluid.

@Codlingmoth sorry for all your losses. Fx you can get some answers now.

@hayleyfx great scan news! Fx for a healthy sticky bean.

@thelittlepeanut I reckon its a little too soon to tell as I've only had 2 sessions but they are relaxing. The last 2 ov's though have been a day earlier than normal, no idea if that is the acupuncture or something else. Also this cycle just before ov I'm sure I had extra EWCM, sorry if TMI but had a massive blob of EWCM come out of me, don't normally get that much! Are you trying acupuncture?

@Bluebelltulip please do join in the baby bomb moan, I'm sick of it unless I know they have had a super hard time like we have.

Bluebelltulip · 29/05/2019 20:56

Can I join the moan about baby booms please. My mum is visiting and just decided to show me a picture of her friends (not close friend) children and point out that one is very similar age to DD1 and the other was born the day after DD2. I did not need to see that, I am very unlikely to come into contact with that friend so I really did not need to know. Supposed to be telling her about this pregnancy tonight but now I'm just quietly annoyed.

thelittlepeanut · 29/05/2019 19:40

@InDreamland how are you finding the acupuncture so far? Do you think/feel like it's making a difference?

@coconutlatte44 keeping everything crossed for you! Hope it's nothing to worry about but definitely go to the EPU as soon as you can. My MC started with pink spotting at around 5 weeks.

@CodlingMoth sorry for another loss 💐 but good that you're starting investigating! Hope you can get some answers and 🌈 will come!

@hayleyfx that's wonderful news! So happy for you. Keep us posted on your journey and fx for a long and healthy pregnancy!

hayleyfx · 29/05/2019 19:08

@coconutlatte44 I have my fingers crossed for you. Best of luck hun x

hayleyfx · 29/05/2019 19:06

My scan was delayed by one day so I had it this morning. We saw the heartbeat!! 💕 measuring 5+6 roughly and they were happy with what they saw. I was worried that baby seemed a little too small - only 1.9mm! But they were really happy with that 🤷‍♀️ Such a relief though. Now terrified for next scan 🤣

CodlingMoth · 29/05/2019 18:12

Hello.
Time to pull up my big girl pants and not deal with this alone. Finally went to the GP yesterday to start investigations. Had my 4th miscarriage in a year a few weeks ago. Now waiting on initial blood test results and a referral to gynecology.

AliceRR · 29/05/2019 18:12

@InDreamland I think that’s normal and I’ve read it’s just fluid and the sperm “swim” off to find an egg...

I do try to stay lying down for about 20 mins after, rather than getting up straight away, but I think the evidence on whether that helps us mixed to say the least

InDreamland · 29/05/2019 18:02

Sorry if this is TMI ladies but after you've DTD how much of OHs deposit leaks out? I feel like most times after we've BD'd a fair amount comes out .......feels gross as well as worried it means nothing is getting up there to try meet egg.

InDreamland · 29/05/2019 17:31

@Frillyfarmer I've been on Facebook once since mc#1 and that was to post my candle for international wave of light and baby loss awareness week. I have totally withdrawn from looking and engaging with it for self preservation. Sorry AF arrived, she's a witch. DH is now chasing to get hold of the results.

@AliceRR it really has been a dreadful year, well for me last 10 months. We really deserve some happiness now.

@Pop1234 we both had antibiotics for it, can't remember what they were called. Good you got some tests done on NHS.

@coconutlatte44 oh no! Fx that it's just bean getting more cosy and comfy in there. Hope EPU will see you tomorrow and that all will be okay.

Bluebelltulip · 29/05/2019 17:23

My fingers are crossed for you @coconutlatte44

coconutlatte44 · 29/05/2019 17:05

Hi all,
Well the moment I've feared has arrived - checked the underwear today to find pink spotting. I am 6+2.
Last time had brown spotting at 7 weeks so this is different, but obviously worrying just the same. I guess I'll phone up and see if I can get into EPU tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed for me please.

Pop1234 · 29/05/2019 15:35

@InDreamland @Frillyfarmer it really is rubbish isn't it.

You know how your hubby got a not so good fragmentation test, has he been treated with Condensyl? So I've been speaking to a lady who has had success with Dr Shehata and she said that he also tests sperm dna fragmentation and if it doesn't come back good he treats it with Condensyl. Just been doing some research online and it's expensive but there's some good reviews of it helping improve fragmentation.

I took the list of blood tests that Shehata does to my gp last week and my gp has done the ones they could to save us some money. So I've had a full thrombophillia screening done and all normal and my full thyroid and antibodies checked all normal. Some other things too that I don't really understand. But I guess thats two ticked off the box that are the main ones. So now I think the main ones left are immune system, sperm dna fragmentation and chromosomes (my worst fear).

AliceRR · 29/05/2019 15:33

Thanks @InDreamland I was thinking about you yesterday. I’m glad you had a nice break. I’m thinking back to last year a bit too as it was around this time last year that we found out we were having our little girl and my BIL came up with his partner the next day by chance... BIL is coming this evening (they only come about once a year) and it’s hard not to think about all we’ve been through since this time last year x

Frillyfarmer · 29/05/2019 15:20

I also feel like I'm muting everyone on my fb at the mo from baby bombs. I'm getting increasingly fucked off with TTC buses full of people "devastated" AF arrived in their first cycle of trying.

AF arrived today, bang on 29 days since MC. It was wishful thinking I would get knocked up in between as I was away with work during O, but I'm still sad, I always am when AF arrives!

@InDreamland you've been on this journey for so long, I really hope your DH pulls his finger out and chases his results up and that it has a positive outcome for you. I'm glad you managed to enjoy the break and babybombs are just suffocating in person. Look after yourself xx

InDreamland · 29/05/2019 15:07

@Pop1234 me too. I can't take anymore. Coming up to 6 years since we first started TTC and all we've had is 5 years of unexplained infertility and then 2 mc's. WTF have we done to deserve this yet horrid, nasty and evil people can have babies. Then all those people who get pregnant and have all healthy pregnancies so easily and take it for granted.

Pop1234 · 29/05/2019 14:55

@InDreamland absolutely. Honestly I've had enough.

InDreamland · 29/05/2019 14:50

@Pop1234 it is shit isn't it.

Pop1234 · 29/05/2019 14:31

Another baby bomb from one of my friends. Why is life so unfair 😣😢

InDreamland · 29/05/2019 13:44

@Lilimum7 sorry but I'm not sure what semi crosshairs means. DH did contact them today and is now waiting for an email. Fx it will still happen good you this month.

@Pop1234 it is possible I believe for an OPK to pick up hcg so it might have been. Hopefully you start getting some answers next week.
