@Catconfusion thank you. I don't know when I miscarried is the problem I had 2 lots of bleeding a week apart went to hospital the second time when I had clots that was when my HCG was done (was in USA at the time) it had gone way down. First small bleed was 11th bigger bleed with clots was 17th.
Now I didn't have a lot of bleeding was only when I went to the toilet barely anything on a pad and hardly any pain. Did a test about a week ago and it was negative.

thelittlepeanut · 02/06/2019 21:07

@MrsH497 it varies on your body and your cycles pre-mc but usually within 4-6 weeks. Mine came back on week 5 post-mc. I would contact your GP if your period doesn't come back after 6 weeks.

Catconfusion · 02/06/2019 21:00

I'm so sorry for your loss @MrsH497 I'd count the first day of bleeding as day 1. I ovulated about three weeks later which was a week after a negative pregnancy test. AF should come roughly a couple of weeks after that. I hope that helps. Everyone is different and it might be different for you. I hope your body recovers quickly! Xx

MrsH497 · 02/06/2019 20:54

Quick question ladies sorry GP never gave me any information post MC. When should I expect my period?

thelittlepeanut · 02/06/2019 17:48

Hi ladies - hope everyone has been having a nice weekend.

I realised this morning that DP is away on a stag do during my fertility window this cycle 😩 obviously not his fault, but I can't help be a little annoyed.

Ladies talking about anxiety, have you tried Rescue Remedy? I've been taking a few drops in water throughout the day and I don't know if it's a placebo effect or not, but I do think it's helping me feel less anxious. It's all natural as well so perfect for anyone who is pregnant too.

MrsH497 · 02/06/2019 15:01

Hope everyone is doing ok.
Me and DH are back to DTD since the MC and pre pregnancy. We aren't trying but not not tying. Haven't yet had a normal period but it's 2 weeks since MC well I think. I had 2 bleeds a week apart so I don't really know when it happened I only got told after the second one it was happening.
Let's see what happens I guess

Treaclepie19 · 02/06/2019 14:45

@Avocuddles thank you :)
I'm feeling so tearful today and uncomfortable. Horrible AF.
About to order some pre-seed and tests though!

Avocuddles · 02/06/2019 11:56

@AliceRR that's the kind of thing that always happens to me! We ended up giving DH's leased car back four weeks late recently as the log book had done a disappearing act so had to wait for a new one to come through. It'll no doubt turn up at some point.....
What car are you going for? x

AliceRR · 02/06/2019 09:15

Hope everyone is today.

I’m feeling quite emotional this week but I’m on.

We are going to get a new car and plan to trade in the old one but we lost one of the car keys this week so it’s going be a fun morning!

Avocuddles · 02/06/2019 09:01

Hi @Treaclepie19 sorry you've found yourself here, but reassured you've found some understanding new friends who will support you through this tough time... x

TinyPaws · 02/06/2019 08:39

@Laney79 So pleased you got good news at your scan! x

Treaclepie19 · 02/06/2019 08:08

Hi ladies :)

Very tearfully hopping on this morning as AF has arrived.

So:
29
We have two boys, one 3yo and one angel (TFMR) and a miscarriage before our 3yo.
Cycle 1

I'm very, very nervous about it and enjoyed that I haven't lost enough weight. I also only started taking my folic acid again last week too.

Still, trying to be positive!

pinkoi · 01/06/2019 23:08

@moonpeace @KnitKitty

I suffer with anxiety too and I think our minds are wonderful at protecting us from hurt and disappointment by refusing to let us fully trust things incase they go wrong.

WRT Reflexology - I have had it regularly for nearly 5 years now and had it during my miscarriage and she did something to try and regulate my hormones and to help speed up the miscarriage finishing. I'm not sure I believe in a lot of the treatment for specific things, but it does really help to chill me out and take away my tension, so it's worth it for that alone 😊

pinkoi · 01/06/2019 22:53

@InDreamland
Thanks for the 2nd opinion! 😊

@Masha31- This is a lovely supportive thread, I'm sorry you find yourself here. Thanks

Xxx

KnitKitty · 01/06/2019 22:40

@moonpeace I have the exact same fear RE progesterone masking MC. I've been over-thinking things soooo much (although trying hard not to). On Wednesday I burst into tears on my way to work and sat crying in the work car park for 10 minutes before I pulled it together. I somehow got through the day and got home and told OH my fears. At first he was adamant I shouldn't take any more tests and advised me to 'be strong' ("but how?"), but after seeing what a mess I was he later suggested I should take one. It was still very much positive and I felt sheepish, but I'm just worried it's a blighted ovum or something. I feel like I can't be taking tests every few days, but it's the only reassurance I've had.
With my other pregnancies I felt pregnant... I had mild cramping from implantation (although also spotting/bleeding) so felt like something was in there. This pregnancy I've had no womb sensations at all (but no bleeding either)... I've been trying to tell myself that if I had those feelings with my failed pregnancies, maybe not having them this time is a good sign, but my brain just isn't accepting that I'm pregnant. I keep waking up in the night with a voice in my head saying 'you're not really pregnant!' and I can't tell if it's anxiety or gut-instinct. Any slight symptom I do have (bloating, increased appetite, tiredness) I'm blaming the progesterone for. I can't win! lol
RE the reflexology; it was probably an unfortunate coincidence, or could have been that it encouraged an already failed pregnancy to 'let go', but I completely understand it having made you weary about trying alternative therapies with this pregnancy. I understand your fears about trying acupuncture for the first time right now. I guess you don't want to rock the boat. I've been having acupuncture for a few months, once a month, and now I'm pregnant am having it weekly. For me I feel it's a support and my anxiety is better for a couple of days after; and who knows how bad it would be without it!
They do alter the treatment if you're pregnant, and it is a known aid for fertility. I think only you can decide if you're happy to go ahead with it. You could even go there and tell the practitioner your thoughts/fears; they might be able to reassure you, and if you don't put you at ease you can walk out...

InDreamland · 01/06/2019 22:32

@pinkoi that looks pretty strong in colour to me so think that is a positive. Especially if you've had EWCM.

InDreamland · 01/06/2019 22:31

@moonpeace thank you. I do enjoy acupuncture, really hope that it works for us this month.

@KnitKitty @moonpeace fx for good scans strong heartbeats and sticky beans.

I'm 4 or 5 DPO today, desperately want this to be our month. We DTD loads during FW.

pinkoi · 01/06/2019 22:10

Folks,

I'm 3 weeks since my MC. I have been doing Ovulation tests just to try and get a handle on if my cycle is getting back to normal.
Had ewcm last 3 days and loads before BD this morning.
OPKs have never had even the faintest 2nd line but did one just and it looks like this... is this positive enough??
They look about the same colour to me!?!

Xx

@coconutlatte44 and @Laney79 What wonderful news! Yey for both of you!

@moonpeace I'm 5 weeks today and in complete denial about being pregnant. My brain keeps convincing me that there's nothing in there as I have very few symptoms. I have also done a spot of gardening and am looking for any possible distraction that I can. Got my first scan in 13 days when I'll (hopefully) be 6+6. I'd say try and enjoy this symptom-less time, but I know if you're like me you'd love to have some morning sickness or something to reassure you. We can get through this! Good luck with the distraction activities!

coconutlatte44 · 01/06/2019 18:17

Thank you so much everyone for your support. It has been a rollercoaster of a few days. I think for the past few weeks I have been walking around imagining an empty gestational sac growing inside of me and it's a massive shift to convince myself that that's not the case.

@moonpeace I also have minimal symptoms which has been a massive trigger for anxiety - I have been poking my boobs for the last few weeks waiting for them to start to feel sore and they really haven't! I think I am more tired than usual today but it may just be the last few days catching up to me. No real sickness or anything. I ran a 10k on Monday at what would have been 5+5 - slowed myself down a bit to be cautious - but felt pretty amazing the whole time - which then triggered further anxiety that there was no way I could be pregnant while feeling that great running. We just can't win!

@Masha31 Sorry to hear your news. Please stick around for support, I have found trying again post-miscarriage to be incredibly scary so it's helpful to hear from people who have been on the same journey.

ale2992 · 01/06/2019 18:03

@moonpeace yes have another one booked for next Sunday

Congratulations on all the scans @Laney79 @hayleyfx @Coconutlatte44 @ale2992.

@Pop1234 if you feel you need more time then take it. Hopefully your GP will sign you off.

@Navy123 sorry the witch showed up! Enjoy the wine!

This thread moves fast. Sorry if I've missed anyone. Had a busy day yesterday and been running around all day today but finally putting my feet up before we go out for dinner. Had acupuncture this afternoon it's so relaxing. Really hoping this month is when I start to get my rainbow.

Avocuddles · 01/06/2019 14:30

Hi @Masha31 and sorry that you've found yourself here. I miscarried naturally last Thursday and feel much the same way. I'm 35 and this was my first pregnancy after a year trying to conceive. I fell pregnant naturally whilst on the waiting list for fertility treatment so I'm nervous about whether luck will strike again. We're off on holiday this week so I'm going to try to relax and indulge a bit, then get back to healthiness and 'trying' next week I think.
