@Pop1234 haha I feel you! But yet I'm sat here on my phone trying to resist analysing my fertility apps 😂😂

Pop1234 · 03/06/2019 21:13

A bit off topic but Love island has started tonight. Hoping my addiction to it is going to hold me off googling stuff at night time for the next 6 weeks. Anyone else watching it?

Squiff70 · 03/06/2019 18:27

Hi ladies, I'm taking a back seat from obsessing over TTC for a while. I'm ovulating at the moment but much more laid back than previous months.

My GP has referred me to the recurrent miscarriage clinic (I lost twins at 19 weeks in January due to placental abruption then had a CP in March and again in May). My appointment is the 5th August which I thought was pretty quick. Can anyone who has been through the RMC tell me what I might expect, please?

AliceRR · 03/06/2019 18:23

Sorry meant the CB connect I have is still a lot more expensive than One Step. I really think it shouldn’t tell you to use fmu. If the issue is to test twice a day then the instructions / app should say that! x

AliceRR · 03/06/2019 18:16

@Lilimum7 I know which CB monitor you mean. They are expensive. I go the connect for quite a good price on amazon but still a lot more expensive than CB and I think it’s not good at all that they didn’t pick up ov alone. I don’t feel pregnant at all. I don’t feel 100% well but I think I’m not well hence discussion about mumps yesterday! Are you going to test tomorrow? I don’t even feel like testing atm. I’m sure it’d be a BFN x

Lilimum7 · 03/06/2019 10:31

@InDreamland I'm finding this wait really hard after last months cp. But to be honest I'm not hopeful I've no symptoms at all. With all my previous pregnancies around 9dpo I start to feel hungover (not sick but you know that weird not quite right feeling), even with the cp's. But not this cycle, in fact I feel quite well ( who would have thought that I would be praying to feel crap).

I too am surrounded by pregnant women, my hair dresser, customers in my shop, next door neighbour, close cousin, its impossible to get away even for just one day. I don't have I'll feelings towards them, more of a deep longing to be in their shoes. It's a constant reminder of what it seems I'm incapable of doing x

@AliceRR my AF is due Saturday or Sunday x
I use cbfm it's a very expensive version of the connect (think I was robbed) but I'm the same I use easy@home strips (and the premom app) as well as FF. If I relied on cb I'd be a day out every time. I get my first blazing positive in the afternoon but don't get a peak until the next morning with cbfm so I could miss ovulation completely if I didn't use multiple tests. By the way give premom a go it reads your strip tests for you

@Lilimum7 I'm with you there, nothing about TTC is fair or easy, especially for us on this thread. Fx that when you do decide to test again that you get a BFP and the asprin and progesterone helps.

@Avocuddles so sorry you're having to deal with that, it's such a head f**k. Don't really know what to advise because once my bleeding properly stopped with both losses then I didn't bleed again until it was AF. the first loss though I did bleed for almost 2 weeks IIRC.

This TWW is dragging. All I want is my rainbow. I am surrounded by pregnant women everywhere, it's in my face every where I go, I can't escape it.

Avocuddles · 03/06/2019 06:48

Morning ladies.

Quick (sensitive) question if you don't mind - long did it take for your MC symptoms to completely go? 11 days have passed now (natural mc at approximately 7 weeks) and I thought that the bleeding had finished about four days ago however this morning I had some very dark spotting when I wiped.... Off on holiday for a few days (London then Amsterdam!) and was hoping to try to draw a line under it but now there's a pesky reminder staring at me! Sad

AliceRR · 03/06/2019 00:52

I was trying to wait as long as possible, thought we’d help each other pass the time! When is your af due?

I like the CB Connect app. It doesn’t do anything Ovia doesn’t except a digital test obviously has advantages over the OneStep tests and it’s handy to have everything recorded in an app. I used it from CD9 and got ten flashing smileys / “high fertility” days but didn’t get a static smiley / peak. I only have an idea of when I ovulated as I used OneStep. So it wasn’t that good at actually detecting ov!

Lilimum7 · 03/06/2019 00:44

@AliceRR OK lol which day would you like instead lol

CB - are you using the digital connect how are you finding it

AliceRR · 03/06/2019 00:40

@Lilimum7 oh see I was thinking in about a week’s time! 🙈 But that’s cause I expect not to be and I’m scared to test so trying to hold onto hope. If this cycle is “normal” length then af would be due a week today but CB thinks af is due on Wednesday 🤷🏻‍♀️ Sorry that doesn’t help does it x

Lilimum7 · 03/06/2019 00:26

@AliceRR Wednesday lol did say in the other post but for got to tag you

OP posts:
Lilimum7 · 03/06/2019 00:22

How about Wednesday then that will be 11 dpo, should know either way if we use any early detection test.

I was just at my parents and my mum said I’ve had the MMR but who knows. I don’t recall that I’ve ever had pain in this particular place before which is what made me think it could be mumps. I’m just paranoid about everything but I expect I am run down so hopefully it is nothing serious x

I’m 8DPO too (well 9DPO now it’s after midnight) @Lillimum7 Not sure when I’ll test as I had a 26 day cycle last month and a 34 day one before that so not even sure when to expect af. I’m the opposite of you though and too scared to test! Maybe we could agree a day to test together if it would help x

Lilimum7 · 02/06/2019 23:57

@InDreamland I'm going to try really hard not to test I'm just so worried about the progesterone thing and I'm anxious to find out as early as possible and start using the aspirin and progesterone. But all I seem to be doing is winding myself up, thinking its not going to happen or if it does I'll miscarry before I can get the progesterone in my system. But then if its another chemical pregnancy then I don't want to know about it. Arrrh nothing about this is easy or fair 😭

InDreamland · 02/06/2019 23:39

Thanks @AliceRR. I hope it happens for all of us here. Goodness we all deserve our rainbow. I don't think I've ever had mumps. Hope that's not mumps and just something minor.

@Lilimum7 don't beat yourself up, it's still so early to be testing ....... says the person who intends to start testing in 3 days. I'm only 2 or 3 days behind you. If you have HPTs at home, especially ICs, it's always tempting. Try to hold off until Tuesday morning ...........

Lilimum7 · 02/06/2019 23:32

@AliceRR have your had the mmr vacation, if so you don't have mumps? Under your ears you have glands they can swell and hurt with alsorts of illnesses, I often used to get tonsillitis and I had pain in the neck then and swollen glands. You can get it just from being run down. If you get a temperature and very bad head aches too go see your doctor. Fingers crossed its nothing hun xx

OP posts:
AliceRR · 02/06/2019 23:17

Have any of you ladies had mumps? I have had weird pains in my neck sort of below my ears today, not something I’ve experienced before, and wondering if it’s mumps. DH helpfully said he thinks mumos can cause infertility. I worry about everything so obviously immediately checked nhs website which says it can affect ovaries and testicles and was once thought to cause MC if caught when pregnant but there is no real evidence of that...

thelittlepeanut · 02/06/2019 22:42

@InDreamland you've been on a wild ride over the last 12 months hun! Really hope you fall pregnant again soon. Stay positive x

Lilimum7 · 02/06/2019 22:41

I'm such a muppet, went the bought hpts ready for testing then caved in and bfn ( not a surprise considering I'm only 8dpo) it really upset me. Why do I do this to myself???

@Laney79 great news about your scan hun xx lol my fingers and toes are crossed 🤞 for this bubba xx

@Avocuddles We managed to find the keys in the greenhouse in a pot with another pot on top! We are looking at a Hyundai Tucson so they’re having one brought up from another showroom but I get so easily seduced by the sexier cars!

@InDreamland It is amazing what can happen and change in a year. I hope it happens for you too 🤞

pinkoi · 02/06/2019 22:03

@MrsH497

Your experience sounds quite similar to me.

I only had very light bleeding for a week then a 2 day break and then it started again for another week but heavier.

Been doing OV test and I got a pos test 3 weeks since the first light bleeding started, which would make my cycle 5 rather than the usual 4 weeks.

Hope you work out where you are soon and sorry you have been through it too Thanks

InDreamland · 02/06/2019 22:02

@Teaclepie19 sorry you find yourself here. You'll find the ladies very supportive.

@MrsH497 it's different for everyone but the advice is to see your GP if it doesn't come within 6 weeks of the mc. I've had no experience of knowing whether/when I ov after the mc because for both of my losses I just didn't monitor or use OPKs until AF came and I started a new cycle. After both losses my head was just not in the space to be wanting to know if I ov'd.

Hard to believe that this time last year I was still on cloud 9 having found out and had my first ever BFP. I was already 5+3 weeks when I tested on bank holiday Monday because when AF was late I just didn't believe after so many years trying I could ever be pregnant. I only had 6 weeks knowing I was pregnant before the bleeding first started and then I didn't actually pass the baby/sac until a week later. Crazy to think how much has happened to me in the past 12 months from super high ecstactically happy to hitting rock bottom. I hope I'm pregnant again before the anniversary of mc#1 and due date of pregnancy #2.

Catconfusion · 02/06/2019 21:25

It is a tricky one @MrsH497 I'd say AF roughly 3 weeks after the negative test as ovulation normally happens close to the negative. I was shocked at how quickly my body kicked back in. I hope it comes quickly so you can recover. It's such a horrible thing to go through! Xx
