Thank you booseysMom, I feel like I need to try again. Both pregnancies were a surprise to say the least but I feel it's something that's supposed to be. Thank you xx

BooseysMom · 01/06/2019 21:32

@Nickimum3.. welcome and I'm sorry for your losses. I had 2 mcs at 6 then 8 wks. DS was then conceived not too long after when I'd given up hope being over 40. It's a horrible experience and sorry if it's still too soon to say but you're apparently more fertile after mc. It's def not over yet.

BooseysMom · 01/06/2019 21:20

Just playing catch up again!

@PetraRabbit.. brilliant to hear your scan went well. A great relief for you
@karryk...Great news from your scan too. You deserve that cake!
@EllieJaye .. Good luck with this one. Keeping everything crossed for you x
@eloisa246 .. really sorry to hear of your mc
@rose68.. sorry it didn't work out for you. We're in the same place tbh and i kbow how you're feeling
@CritterTamer.. the twins are perfect. Amazing to see them. Beautiful little babes! Such a relief you're all ok and they're out of hosp now

Nickimum3 · 01/06/2019 19:09

Hi I'm new here, just came across the site while googling 😁. I've just turned 44 and had my second miscarriage 2 days ago at 6 weeks, the 1st being a mmc at 12 weeks, baby had stopped growing at 7. My heads been totally all over the place as you can imagine but reading everyone's posts has given me comfort one way or another. Not sure if we'll try again but again, reading everyone's posts has made me realise it's not over yet if I don't want it to be!! Thank you x

Cleozeta · 01/06/2019 15:03

Mimosa - great that the cream is working for you! I'd say do a test then stop if negative. You should have a line now if it's positive, even with daytime weewee.
Good luck

Chatbash72 · 01/06/2019 13:21

Ooh @CritterTamer gorgeous babies, don't be a stranger, pop in from time to time ( if you have any) and let us know how your doing.
@Rose68 mine doesn't like the supplements either, says they zap his libedo.. and said he wasn't sure he wanted another but still happy to have unprotected sex... so I'll take that. Like yours @littlemimosa
Congrats @EllieJaye
Af hit last night but was a funny cycle this month... onwards and upwards but have upped my coenzyme co10 to 400mg per day..
sending love and baby dust to you all xxxx

littlemimosa · 01/06/2019 11:45

Critter! I love them! The babies are beautiful and it’s such great news that you are all home together. It must feel wonderful. You enjoy every minute. Believe it or not they grow sooooo fast and before you know it you’re waving them into school. Such special days. Much love 💖

littlemimosa · 01/06/2019 11:42

Eloisa- I was so sorry to read your update. You sound quite philosophical about it with your plan for DE. Still, it’s devastating so I hope you’re getting some love andsupport. We’re all here for you.

Ellie - tentative congratulations. I hope this is 3rd time lucky for you.

Rose - I wondered where you were. Thanks for updating us. Sorry to hear you’re feeling that way. I go through phases of feeling the same then later on there’s that ‘hand in the small of my back’ gently pushing me forward and so I keep on going. My DH is a bit like yours in that he’s doing it for me really. He’s happy to stick with 2 but like yours carries on with contraceptive free sex so i figure he is up for another in reality. He also is not a supplement man but we eat really well and he’ll force down homemade super green soup even though he’d rather have a sausage roll 😆 I also shove fruit into his hands and he eats is quite happily! All I can say is have a look at Julia Indichova’s books, they e given me loads of hope. There are tons of strategies for blocking out the noise of the ticking biological clock and negativity surrounding age and fertility.

Cleo - I’m on CD30/14dpo. No sign of AF so do you think I should do a hpt to make sure it’s negative before stopping the cream? I think it’s working for me!

Rose68 · 01/06/2019 09:16

Congratulations Critter! They are lovely!

@Russkispy I’m so sorry about your mmc, sending you loads of love.

Thank you for the comments ladies, I’m not sure where to go from here. I guess I just need to move on really, and find something else to focus on. Easier said than done!

mellongoose · 01/06/2019 07:17

Beautiful precious babies @CritterTamer. Enjoy them. So very happy for you.

Good luck @EllieJaye.

weasledee · 31/05/2019 20:52

Arhhh critter I often check the thread to see if you have updated. It's lovely to see the babies home, youve come along way!

KristieP2018 · 31/05/2019 19:54

@crittertamer they’re just beautiful. Glad you’re all home now.

Russkispy · 31/05/2019 17:05

@CritterTamer beautiful babies! Enjoy being a mummy!
@Rose68 sorry to hear it all. And shame you DH is not on board. It sucks. Thankfully mine is and we're still doing anything possible to get there! Whatever it takes. If we're going for donor egg then I'll have to be on a pill for 2 cycles to regulate AF and only plan embryo transfer on cycle 3. At the moment my AF hasn't even arrived after a MMC. So we're thinking to skip June and maybe start in July. In my head I'm constantly fighting if natural conception ever happens if we keep trying?! In 12 months I had 2 MMCs from IUI and IVF, one CP. 2 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, no frozen embryos. And 1 embryo had trisomy in 18. It doesn't really good if I kept trying naturally? Or even go for IVF with my own eggs? And I'm already 43. So I go in circles about the above in my head.
@EllieJaye tentative congratulations! And I really hope it sticks this time. Everything crossed for you!

Cleozeta · 31/05/2019 16:32

Congratulations critter, they are beautiful. Enjoy them Smile

Congrats Ellie - I hope it sticks this time!

Rose - good to hear from you. I totally understand where you are coming from and feel like that a lot of the time too, but yet somehow I still carry on. This thread gives me hope, without it I would have given up years ago.

This thread does seem to have been lucky lately too! Hopefully it'll catch on....

Hobbes39 · 31/05/2019 16:10

Hi all - just saw your @CritterTamer update and had to come on to say how happy I am to hear you are all home and together - how long was that you stayed in for altogether?
how are you doing now? I know it will take time, but hope you are feeling less traumatised?
@Rose68 - I'm sorry things haven't worked out yet for you... when I'm having a bad day of feeling fed up with pregnancy related issues I do remind myself how v lucky we have been to get this far, and how utterly heartbroken I was feeling before. I don't know what to say, but thinking of you and the others on here in that limbo land of still hoping for good news, but feeling like it's time to move on. X
Good luck @EllieJaye - hope it sticks this time. And god luck to anyone else I've missed with early BFPs - I know it's incredibly stressful xx

Catconfusion · 31/05/2019 13:27

They're beautiful @CritterTamer you've given me some hope today. Take care and enjoy being a mummy to these darlings as I know you will! Xx

CritterTamer · 31/05/2019 13:05

Hi ladies

I know this doesn't really belong in this thread, but I know that some of you have been really interested in what happened with my IVF and subsequent twin pregnancy so I just wanted to update you all and let you know that despite being almost 6 weeks premature, my twins were yesterday discharged from the SCBU and we are finally all at home together after a traumatic few weeks 😊
The support and friendship on this thread has been a literal lifesaver at times and I really hope it continues to do that for everyone here.
Wishing you all baby dust and all the luck in the world with whatever paths you choose to take in this TTC journey, and safe, healthy pregnancies and deliveries for those currently expecting xxx

Over 40 TTC - lots of baby dust for us...3!
Rose68 · 31/05/2019 12:37

P.s. Congratulations to everyone with a bfp

Rose68 · 31/05/2019 12:36

Hi Ladies, I need to read the thread to catch up properly. I don’t have any news, I took clomid for 3 months with no joy, and I decided not to take it this month. I’m quite sure it can’t be any good for me, but I guess worth it if it results in a bfp. I need to move on now, I’m 44 next week and this clearly isn’t going to happen. I have tried loads of supplements and acupuncture. I will never be able to talk DH into any kind of fertility treatment, he is 50 now and isn’t on board with having another child anymore. Although he seems quite happy to have unprotected sex, I definitely can’t get him to take his supplements. I know I should be happy with what I have, but it still hurts like hell. I think I should stay away because I do find it hard reading what you are all doing, but knowing me I will still check in from time to time.... maybe I will carry on with the unprotected sex for a bit longer....

EllieJaye · 31/05/2019 11:16

It's my 3rd pregnancy in 4 years of trying for #3

Miscarried the last 2. My miscarriage last year was particularly difficult having seen a heartbeat and then it dragged on for weeks.. So I'm feeling physically sick and very anxious. I know this is a chance, but l'm almost too scared to be happy Shock

Karigan195 · 31/05/2019 11:04

Ohhh fingers crossed it’s a sticker

EllieJaye · 31/05/2019 09:51
