Mimosa - sorry to hear you are feeling the same. It's just all so disheartening, especially as there is such a stark fast approaching deadline. I am trying to focus on other things but can't bring myself to give up yet

KristieP2018 · 11/06/2019 08:13

Sigh. Still no sign of af or ovulation or anything. I’m stopping the Vitex. It worked so well the first time and when I ran out, I bought a different brand and now I’m wondering if they’re the issue. Since I’ve been on the new brand, my cycles have been off. CD37 today and another day of high fertility.

MaryShelley1818 · 11/06/2019 07:26

Welcome Pooky!

Thanks Boosey, it would be to complete a 2nd degree so a lot of work and a huge commitment but feel like I need to have another focus. DS has had me awake since 3am so going to be a very looong day!
I did contemplate teacher training a few yrs ago and got accepted onto the 1-yr course but then decided against it last minute. Well done to your DH, it’s an extremely hard job, but rewarding.

pookypup · 11/06/2019 06:43

Thank you for warm welcome.

@booseysmum I can’t believe it’s been 4 years, time suddenly shot by! (But also went vvvvvery slowly in those TWW) Confused

I had my first fertility appointment yesterday and mentioned the chemicals (just had one this cycle). My Dr was v kind but said not to test until I’m a week overdue to avoid upset. As a POAS addict this will be hard but v sensible advice. Wonder if I can hold out? CD 2 here.

BooseysMom · 11/06/2019 06:19

@MaryShelley1818.. Good luck with your interview. DH has just started a teacher training course with full bursary and is having a new lease of life!

@pookypup.. Welcome and thanks for your kind comment. We've also been ttc for 4 years for dc2. I'm alot older than you tho! I had DS at 40. Good luck x

karryk · 11/06/2019 06:10

Hello @pookypup! Flowers

karryk · 11/06/2019 06:10

@Kimm123 I believe it did help in that it brought balance to my body - the five elements version is a holistic approach and treats your whole self. I'll be 42 in a couple of weeks. I had DD a month after my 40th Smile

pookypup · 11/06/2019 06:06

Hello ladies, may I join you? Been lurking a bit and you seem lovely Smile

TTC number DC3 for nearly 4 years one mc and two chemicals in that time. Started ttc at 36 and now 40. I had my first DCs at 32 and 34 and fell pregnant quickly, so now having some investigations. FSH a bit high (I think) and awaiting a HyCoSy, has anyone had one?

@EllieJaye I hope today goes ok for you.

Constance1234 · 10/06/2019 22:37

@Kimm123 I started having twice monthly fertility reflexology in February and got a BFP in May (on my first round of clomid though, but I think it was a combination of both) :)

sheshootssheimplores · 10/06/2019 22:15

I really felt a acupuncture conceive my second as my cycles were 23 days and my therapist lengthened then to 28. I’m taking HRT now which has lengthened my cycles also and I caught the cycle before last directly they lengthened (chemical). For me personally I just don’t seem to fall pregnant with a short cycle.

Kimm123 · 10/06/2019 22:05

@karryk....would you say that helped you get pregnant? How ols are u if u don't mind me asking xx

karryk · 10/06/2019 21:49

@Kimm123 I started having Five Elements acupuncture (different from the traditional Chinese medicine version) about 4 months before conceiving DD. I had it all through pregnancy and to this day (every 6 weeks or so). Personally I've found it has really helped my general wellbeing Smile

Kimm123 · 10/06/2019 21:42

Hey ladies....have any of you tried acupuncture or reflexology?? Im cant decide whether i should give it a go and see what happens...its probably after summer holidays as we will be away...who knows what my holiday holds...i may get lucky !!!!!! I wish 🤣🤣🤣

MaryShelley1818 · 10/06/2019 21:22

Well I’ve got an interview in the morning for a 3-yr training program at work. Really interested so hopefully if baby number 2 isn’t to be then this might be so I’ll have something else to focus on.

littlemimosa · 10/06/2019 20:45

Ellie - thinking of you. I hope it isn’t bad news.

Cleo - so sorry you’re feeling so low. You know I know how you feel. All I can say is you’re not alone. It’s such a sad thing to have a desperate longing for a child and it can’t be fulfilled. I’ve been doing quite a bit of crying over it recently. I feel like I’m grieving. But I’m not holding it in anymore. Even if my dreams never come true, I’m not ignoring it. Trying to just feel the pain then move on. Like Mellon I feel I’m coming to the end of the road. Even though my cycles seem normal again at the moment I’m trying to accept that it’s probably not going to happen now. It breaks my heart but I can’t do anything more than I’ve done/am doing so I’m trying to loosen my grip on controlling everything. I’m not 100% giving up yet but I’m trying to accept my life without this longed for baby.

Mellongoose - I admire your strength and wish you lots of love and happiness. You’re always welcome here whenever you need a chat x

sheshootssheimplores · 10/06/2019 13:50

Bless you Flowers

Everything crossed for you xx

Russkispy · 10/06/2019 12:02

@EllieJaye I still hope it works out for you!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

EllieJaye · 10/06/2019 10:32

Agreed, I'm out of tests now anyway. Today was always going to be the decider :'(

Cleozeta · 10/06/2019 10:09

Ellie - Sorry to hear you are going through this, I know the feeling well as I went through similar last year. I think your best net now is to stop testing for a bit, as it'll drive you buts, maybe go to the gp and then let nature choose which route it will take, as unfortunately thete is nothing we can do

EllieJaye · 10/06/2019 10:07

@sheshootssheimplores same here, the tests have been right in my other pregnancies - good and bad, by now levels should be in the 300's as an absolute minimum and the threshold for the 2-3 week result is only 153.

I've got the doctors in the morning then I will have to try and get a nurse appointment that fits around work to get first bloods taken.

I've had period type cramps last couple of days. Hoping that as levels must be low they wont take too long to drop back down for me to have a natural loss. I really don't want to face the hospital, EPU, Ultrasound clinic with all the pregnant ladies, the scans where you should see your baby and you see little or nothing. Hoping for a swift end and to move on while I still have the strength to keep going. Had a cry this morning but I don't want to keep crying.

sheshootssheimplores · 10/06/2019 09:44

EllieJaye I think getting your HCG levels measured is a good idea. I’ll admit to you that I don’t think it looks great. I’ve had seven pregnancies now and the ones that worked were the ones that had good strong positives and where the CB indicator had risen as it should.

I have read other stories online where people have all sorts of weird shit happening early on and the pregnancy is successful. For me though if I don’t get a good strong positive around 10dpo that darkened, it never worked out.

MaryShelley1818 · 10/06/2019 09:18

I don’t know how to tag people but thank you all so much for the warm welcome :)
It’s a lovely age - he’s so funny and learning so quick but wow the tantrums!
We went to Mothercare yesterday to get him some new shoes from Clarks and use the softplay, DH bought me a new bigger changing bag and we wistfully strolled around the cribs and new baby stuff planning what we might need IF we’re lucky.
In the 2ww now and tried our best last week so fingers crossed and baby dust for everyone xx

Elliejay thats such sad news, hoping it all still works out xx

BooseysMom · 10/06/2019 06:46

@MaryShelley1818.. Welcome. Sorry to hear about your pnd. I had DS at 40 nearly 41 and he's the light of our lives too Smile. Good luck x

@EllieJaye.. oh that's so sad, I'm sorry. I want so much to say it might still hold but you are being realistic I know and very brave. Such strong lines too. Thinking of you x

Chatbash72 · 10/06/2019 06:42

@EllieJaye those tests still look strong and positive to me... hang in there 💕💕

pookypup · 10/06/2019 06:11

@EllieJaye sorry to hear you are feeling so worried. Totally understandable given your history, but your line at least looks nice and strong. Do you have any cramping?

I’m in a very similar position - have no progression on IC over 4 days but too scared to even buy a proper test. Woken up all crampy though like AF on its way. Sad
