Anybody in their 2WW?

Pretty sure I ovulated yesterday (hopefully!), due AF on 13th May, anybody else starting their 2WW?

(Warning: I am a serial symptom spotter and POAS addict, I have zero willpower 😂)

The lower the mlu, the more sensitive, frer is 6-10mlu, your common garden test 25-50. Always search ICs that tell you their mlu - you can find out brands online. Risk of 10mlu is that they can spot chemicals - which people will call false positives if they don’t understand

josprout · 11/06/2019 20:46

@Kiskacsa thank you! Will have a look at them. Are they more sensitive then?

Kiskacsa · 11/06/2019 18:34

@josprout you can get one-step ICs from Amazon which are 10mlu which have refused to give me a bfp if it’s too early but showed (faintly) as early as a frer - just have a squint a bit more.

josprout · 11/06/2019 18:09

@Roo3125 yeh I've been the same buying tests!!! It's a shame they are so much! I suppose if we are pregnant then it will show in a cheapy one if we wait!! I used the cheapy ones when I was pregnant with my son to check in early days that the hormone was still there when i was having spotting. Fingers crossed!

@Yougottabekittenme I'm the same. 2nd cycle. A lot more relaxed than 1st cycle. I use opk and cm checking to find out. And I also have cramping when I ovulate which j never noticed as j was on the pill when you don't have periods x

Yougottabekittenme · 11/06/2019 14:54

@Kiskacsa yes I’ve been tracking my bbt for the past two months and checking and tracking cm too, so gonna throw everything at it and start checking ovulation sticks aswell!

Kiskacsa · 11/06/2019 14:32

@Yougottabekittenme might be worth looking at temping, too, at least from next AF - it can really help work out that you have ovulated (if you have pcos, you can get false opk spikes - although if you don’t usually get delayed/skipped months you might not have that)

Yougottabekittenme · 11/06/2019 09:23

@josprout I’m only in my 2nd cycle so I know I shouldn’t be complaining!! I’m just so practical and have spent my life being so careful and always using protection and then I have been timing and tracking everything and watching my body like a hawk I assumed it would happen quickly! I bought some ovulation detectors this morning so I hopefully that will help even more!

Roo3125 · 11/06/2019 09:16

@josprout I might do 🤔 part of me doesn't want to waste more money on tests though! 😂 If af doesn't show tomorrow as she should then I'll probably buy one for Thursday morning. I must have spent over £50 on frer the first month ttc so don't want to go back there! 🤦‍♀️😂

josprout · 11/06/2019 09:15

@Roo3125 why don't you go and get a clear blue or first response? My eyes were playing tricks on me looking but I don't have the best eye sight!

Roo3125 · 11/06/2019 09:12

@josprout Feeling awful this morning 🤢 sense of smell is crazy too. The test is not very sensitive and says to use the day after missed period, so I'm hoping that's the case I thought I could see a hint of a line, so took it apart, and there's something staring at me 🤔

josprout · 11/06/2019 09:09

@Yougottabekittenme sorry you've got your AF. Must be so frustrating. How many cycles have you been trying?

@Roo3125 it's so hard to know whether the test is right or too early. My apps give a few days apart too wth period.

@Gatomum maybe see your gp still? I'm not ok sure as I always have irregular periods really as just come off the pill and they weren't great before so it does seem weird that you're late? Unless you ov late? Did you take opk tests?

I'm 9 or 10dpo. Lost track now! Haha ovulated last weekend so was just aiming to get to this weekend to test or just hold out.

Gatomum · 11/06/2019 08:51

I caved in and took a first response test this morning and it was a BFN. It’s now a week after the day AF should have arrived so i guess it can’t be too early. This has never happened to me before, always having regular and full periods. Not only deflated by the negative result after I thought I could identify so many symptoms but now I’m also wondering if there’s anything seriously wrong with me. Oh well, will have to talk to a GP to see if they have any ideas but last time I got told they wouldn’t investigate yet as it hasn’t been a year of trying.

Yougottabekittenme · 11/06/2019 08:16

AF arrived this morning :( 5 days earlier than expected!! So looks like I’m out this month, really though I had implanted earlier at 5DPO it looked really promising so very disappointed! Good look to everyone else waiting this month, hopefully next month will be my month!!

Roo3125 · 11/06/2019 07:19

Well, I'm 13 DPO today. Af due tomorrow on one app and Thursday on another 🙄 Caved and took the only test in my house - 50p one from Home Bargains - BFN. I'm realistic that the test was a right stinker, so there's still some hope.

I fell asleep at 7.30pm last night until 7 this morning! My boobs are also killing me. The next few days will tell I guess.

RudyRoo · 10/06/2019 14:27

@MMama18 just catching up on this thread, OMG congratulations! That is such lovely news 😊 have everything crossed for you that everything runs smoothly. 🤞🏼🤞🏼I'm 10 weeks tomorrow and counting down til I get my 12 week scan! Had an early private one at 8weeks and all looking good but still a bit nervous xx

Yougottabekittenme · 10/06/2019 13:26

@josprout could be implantation bleeding, I bled a bit a few days ago and thought that was implantation bleeding as it was more spotting, this seems different, put a pad on this morning so will keep an eye on it! Stomach swollen and peeing a lot today! Your 8dpo too? When will you test? Going to wait the full 14 days? I’ve anxiety too and love to be fully in control, I’ve been planning TTC for months before we started to give ourselves the best chance! So this unknowing consumes me 😂

josprout · 10/06/2019 12:56

@Gatomum glad you're not feeling anxious. This ttc malarcky is touch on our emotional strings. I struggle with my anxiety and being in control of situations so this type of feeling is awful for me but this cycle I've tried to just relax. Im symptom spotting but defo not doing a test early as it just wrecks you. I don't think we've been lucky this cycle but did have some mild cramp & twinges last night on the left side. I'm 8dpo too x

josprout · 10/06/2019 12:49

@Yougottabekittenme it could be implantation bleeding? Is it red/brown or pinkish?
I've read if it's red and requiring a pad it's AF but if it's pinkish/brown and just spotting when you wipe it could be implantation. Are you cycles regular? I had the same last cycle but I've just come off the pill and it was my withdrawal bleed.

Yougottabekittenme · 10/06/2019 07:34

@MMama18 Congrats!!!! 🎊 great news!! I’m currently day 8 DPO and I started bleeding again this morning! I’m still a week away from AF so not sure what is going on, no other symptoms so feeling deflated, due to test on Thursday so I’ll keep holding out

Gatomum · 09/06/2019 23:26

Congrats, @MMama18!!
@josprout, I haven’t tested again yet since as been trying to give it a few more days! Been telling myself to wait till around Wednesday! A couple of days ago I kept feeling a little bit nauseous but since yesterday’s BFN I haven’t felt anything else so it was probably me being hyper aware of every single thing.
Been feeling a lot less anxious and alone after finding this chat group! Thanks for being there, ladies! And good luck to us all! X

MMama18 · 09/06/2019 19:28

@josprout I’m feeling quite good, just tired and bloated really, and I feel sick first thing when I wake up but I’m fine after I eat breakfast.

Keeping my fingers crossed for all you ladies 🤞🤞

@Roo3125 I'm 7dpo and apart from being tired and bloated a bit haven't got any symptoms. Cm/cf seems still clear stretchy??
I'm going to try and wait until next weekend and not keep poas!!

Roo3125 · 09/06/2019 19:00

@Kiskacsa @josprout Thanks ladies! I'm going to wait and see if af shows up by Wednesday. If not, I'll do a test then. I only have cheapy home bargains tests in the house, so that should stop me from feeling the urge to obsessively test haha!

josprout · 09/06/2019 18:30

@MMama18 how are you feeling?

@Roo3125 hope you're feeling better soon and it's pregnancy symptoms and you're not coming down with something?

@Gatomum that does sound weird and sounds like implantation bleeding before and still a good sign you're late? Have you taken any more tests?
