Anybody in their 2WW?

Pretty sure I ovulated yesterday (hopefully!), due AF on 13th May, anybody else starting their 2WW?

(Warning: I am a serial symptom spotter and POAS addict, I have zero willpower 😂)

@MrsG3 I believe they say FMU for testing before period x

I may be clutching at straws here but if I'm now 1 day late does it have to be fmu? Does it really make that much difference?

MMama18 · 16/05/2019 10:18

@babysox so we measure the TWW in DPO (days past ovulation) so you start the TWW at 1DPO being the day after ovulation
@TryingVeryHard2015 most definitely a line! Congratulations, perhaps you ovulated later than thought? Or a late implanter? Good luck 🤞

Here we go. Although I can see it, I still inverted it just to be sure.

I keep going back to check it is still there.

Currently waiting to check again to be sure.

Does the TWW start from ovulation or from after sex in a fertile period? I'm confused a little

MrsG3 · 16/05/2019 08:57

Congratulations @TryingVeryHard2015 doing a little happy dance for you!!!

babysox · 16/05/2019 08:55

I'm in the 2ww I think

MMama18 · 16/05/2019 08:40

@TryingVeryHard2015 congratulations, can you post a picture? Sending sticky thoughts!

So..... I have a second line. 🤔

For 16dpo, I'd have expected it to be stronger. Don't get me wrong, it is there,it is pink, and you don't have to do any squinting. I'm shocked to say the least.

RudyRoo · 15/05/2019 20:46

I'm not sure what it would do if your cycles are already short. I think most people use it to shorten cycles but you could do some research on what it does to help with already short ones. Don't buy from Holland and Barratt - I did this and then discovered afterwards the dosage was so weak it probably wouldn't have made any difference. (Apparently they changed the strength a couple of years ago) I got this one from amazon. I took one 400mg capsule per day. Yes Agnus Cactus is a bit easier to say at least! 😂

Thanks @RudyRoo, I think my cycle is all over the place at mo, last 2 have only been 21 days long! This definitely sounds like something worth trying! 😀 Do they sell it in places like Holland and Barrett etc? Must remember not to call it Angus cactus 🤣🤣🤣

RudyRoo · 15/05/2019 20:03

@MrsG3 sorry I don't know why I wrote 'ages' instead of 'it' oops!

RudyRoo · 15/05/2019 20:01

@MMama18 sounds like a fanstastic game plan! 💪🏼 if you are not already then you could also try preseed. This may have helped me also...

RudyRoo · 15/05/2019 20:00

@MrsG3 oh yeah Agnus Castus worked great for me (may have been a conincidence but who knows) I was taking ages in hope it would help get cycles back to any sort of normality after stopping the pill, 8 months later I tried AC as it is supposed to be good for regulating cycles. Got BFP first month trying it. If you have issues with irregularity then I would definitely recommend. You take it from CD1 until ovulation and then stop (incase you are pregnant) hope that helps! x

MMama18 · 15/05/2019 19:23

@MrsG3 🤞 AF stays away! Pretty sure @RudyRoo said she’d tried Agnus Castus...

@MMama18 sounds like you're trying loads of really great things there 👍🏻 if I end up being out this month I think I'll be avoiding all opks and early testing next month too (we say this now!....) I still haven't figured out what's going on this month, AF was due today but frer is negative and had a few tummy cramps this evening so she may well appear tomorrow!

Whilst reading some other threads they seem to mention Agnus castus (think that's how you spell it??) a lot. I've never tried it but there are some positive comments on there so not sure if it's worth looking into? 🤷🏻‍♀️

MMama18 · 15/05/2019 10:42

For those that are out, any new tactics anyone’s trying this cycle?

I’ve switched to pre conception vitamins rather than just folic acid and vitamin D
DH is now on multi vitamins - zinc, folic acid and vitamins C and E are particularly important for male fertility, who knew!
Pomegranate juice in smoothies starting from the day AF finishes, pineapple (including core) in smoothie every other day (another implantation tip I’ve come across)
Staying away from the OPKs again, my fertile week begins next Tuesday according to my app so planning to DTD every other day until CM has passed EW and gone back to sticky/dry (it’s a novelty, before my operation earlier in the year we hadn’t DTD in over a year!)
You all may laugh 😂 but I don’t want to know ovulation day so I can’t symptom spot and count DPO again! I will not buy or take a test until the morning AF is due, and I will ignore all tummy twinges that I think may be ovulation or implantation... I swear 🙄😂

@MMama18 thanks for your help x

MMama18 · 14/05/2019 22:09

Hi @josprout it can take a few months for your body to get back to normal after coming off the pill, you could have irregular ovulation and periods for a little bit but everyone is different. Implantation happens on average 6-10 days after ovulation and then it takes a few days until there’s enough hormones to show on a pregnancy test, most ladies test 12DPO onwards but it’s possible to get positives earlier, same thing really, everyone is different!
@Roo3125 ah that damn AF! We’ll be symptom spotting buddies again this cycle then! 😂

Andddd af just reared her ugly head. On towards next month 😔

josprout · 14/05/2019 21:40

after a bit of help ladies.... new to this feed.

I came off cerezette last month and started using opk tests when my cf was looking fertile and caught when I was ovulating but as I haven't had a period yet from coming off the pill should i presume it will be about 2 weeks after ovulation? And how many days post ovulation can I take a test as we dtd around ovulation. Thanks x

Roo3125 · 14/05/2019 20:53

@BananaPalm Thank you! I have everything crossed! 🤞💕

MMama18 · 14/05/2019 19:31

Hi @Abi58 AF arrived for me on Sunday so I’m CD3 now xx

@MMama18
Ignore that comment I changed the comments to most recent but it mustn't have changed from your original post 😂
What cd are you on now? I haven't managed to keep up with the messages the last few days

Abi58 · 14/05/2019 19:18

@MMama18 looks like we're close! I think I've just had a positive opk (or very close to it) so excited my body seems to be back on track after the pill!
