Pretty sure I ovulated yesterday (hopefully!), due AF on 13th May, anybody else starting their 2WW?

(Warning: I am a serial symptom spotter and POAS addict, I have zero willpower 😂)

Hello everyone.
Thank you for the messages, @Abi58 and @Kiskacsa . I'm very happy to hear you're doing well! Keep sending us updates, please!

Unfortunately no news on my side yet. The results from my hormone and pelvic scan tests came back, along with hubby's, and it seems it all looks good - nothing can we can blame for the time it's been taking, which I guess it's great (although i would like to know if there was anything I could do to solve whatever it is that is making us have to wait). We've been trying for about 8 months now... :( I do hear stories that it can take a while, but most people around me having babies atm seem to have only tried between 1 and 3 months...

Anyway, my only news is that I'll start a new job in Nov (hurray). Hopefully it'll all work out between new contract and trying for baby!

Kiskacsa · 23/09/2019 12:05

How’s it going @MMama18, @Abi58, @Gatomum?

19w today! Time flying by - nearly halfway, terrifying thought. No feelings from blob yet, I don’t thing - digestion has been a bit bubbly so u could be mixing it up. Wish I could tell - getting nervous given it’s so long since last scan. Next one is next Thursday!

Abi58 · 02/09/2019 19:24

@Gatomum sorry I've only just seen your message! How did your app go??

@MMama18 awww congratulations! We are and think we'll go private to find out probably about 17 weeks :)
I'm now 13+4 and still feeling awful, still being sick every day as well 🙈 hopefully it will ease soon! Had our 12 week scan last week and it was amazing 🥰

MMama18 · 30/08/2019 17:40

Hi ladies!
How are you all doing?
I’m 16+4 today and just wanted to share our exciting news that we’re expecting a baby boy!
We really didn’t mind what gender with DD or this baby but are over the moon that DD is getting a brother 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Are any of you ladies hoping to find out gender? Xx

Hello ladies!
It's always so good to hear from you and the little ones! I am sure that as soon as we get lucky I'll be re-reading all the messages on this thread to get your good advice! :D
I have been doing the tests the GP recommended. I am seeing them this Wed so hopefully everything should be in order. I can only see partial results on the Patient Access site so not sure what they all mean yet.
Have you experienced any ovulation pain? I've been using the OPKs and had a strong positive result on Sat (so fingers crossed for this month!) and today (Monday) I am having a lot of cramping. Not as strong as period pains but somehow similar. I don't think I've felt like this before so wouldn't say I get ovulation pains normally but maybe I just wasn't paying as much attention before.
Keep sending us news and photos, please! x

MMama18 · 11/08/2019 09:05

@Kiskacsa I agree, but they didn’t with me either ☹️

OP posts:
Kiskacsa · 11/08/2019 01:34

They did - but the risk of a false positive is quite high by which point I think I’d go for NIPT anyway... really thought they should have offered a rescan given I had 2 weeks left when one could have been done.

MMama18 · 10/08/2019 09:32

@Kiskacsa that happened with my DD, did they not offer you the quadruple test from 14 weeks? It’s just a blood test that measures 4 proteins and hormones to give you a result, slightly less accurate than a nuchal but can be done on NHS xx

OP posts:
Kiskacsa · 10/08/2019 09:26

@MMama18 glad your scan showed everything going well!!

I’m doing ok - 12w6 today, queasiness subsiding although still averse to some foods. Keep getting bloated/constipated, though, and I’m struggling to get a good night’s sleep - crazy vivid dreams.

Had my 12 week scan, but baby wouldn’t shift on its back so no nuchal - and they didn’t offer me another :-( so getting an NIPT to make sure everything is ok

Ooo and do the pics anyway! You might feel horrible but it’s such a precious time and you’ll regret it xx

@Abi58 glad you’ve found something that’s working for you! Hopefully the sicky phase will soon be over x

I literally don’t even feel pregnant, other than my protruding tummy and maybe a bit less energy, but that’s how I felt with DD so it’s nice really being able to do all the things I normally would with her,

Thank you, I was a bit disappointed with the scan because my one with DD was so crystal clear you could even see the teeth in her gums! But everyone is telling me it’s still a clear picture and the little one was in an awkward position, lying sideways facing my back, so couldn’t get a very good look at their face! 🙈

I have my gender scan booked with MUMS on 30th so an exciting week for us both! Xx

@MMama18 sorry I hadn't seen these new posts 🙈
He is good bless him. Polos and other mints have been helping loads!
I'm mostly managing breads so I look like I have a bump but it's 100% fat 😭 wanted to do progression pics but I look horrific haha!

How are you feeling now?

Awwww such an amazing picture!!! 🥰 I have mine on the 27th 🙈

@Kiskacsa how are you feeling now?

How's everyone else getting on??

MMama18 · 09/08/2019 20:23

Hi everyone, how are we all getting on?
Here’s a picture of my little one 😍 all looking good so far, and due date has been set as 10th Feb, so 10 days after DDs 2nd birthday 🙈 xx

MMama18 · 23/07/2019 20:22

@Abi58 how are the polos working out?

OP posts:
Kiskacsa · 22/07/2019 16:55

@mmama18 well, 10w today, so I should really be trying to stomach more nutrients 😂

Going to try a sugary snack again soon - those always seem to cut through, I just worry I’m going to end up with gestational diabetes if I give in to it

MMama18 · 22/07/2019 16:49

@Abi58 good old hubby!

Plain rice or pasta too, I lived off plain carbs for weeks with DD, that or maybe some cereal if I could stomach the milk 😂 my midwife said to me if doesn’t matter what you’re eating, umbilical cord won’t start functioning until week 9/10 so it isn’t affecting baby, you just need to try to eat for you own sake and keep up your energy levels! And looooads of fluids, especially in the weather 🥵 xx

OP posts:
Abi58 · 22/07/2019 16:34

@Kiskacsa thank you :) I'm hoping you on the feeling rough

As well as nausea have constant dizziness like the room is spinning after too many drinks 😭 it's unbearable. I feel like I'm being a drama queen but I am struggling to function 😭🤢

I agree little and often plain like crackers might help?

@MMama18 oo had no idea about mints, hubby is going to get me some polos now 😂

MMama18 · 22/07/2019 16:05

@kiskacsa it’s all you can think about isn’t it! I know it’s hard but it is usually worse if you’re stomach is empty so if you can eat anything at all it might help! I sucked mints a lot this time which seemed to take the edge off, peppermint and ginger are both supposed to be good for nausea ☺️ Xx

OP posts:
Kiskacsa · 22/07/2019 15:27

@Abi58 congrats on your blob!

Feel so rough. My trusty cheese sandwich has failed me. Sigh. Wish I could properly stomach food - the nausea is so overwhelming.

Abi58 · 19/07/2019 13:09

@MMama18 thank you so much that's good to know ☺️ I'll have a look!

MMama18 · 19/07/2019 13:06

@Abi58 all of mine are Mothercare or jojomamanbebe (2 blue, 1 black and 1 set of dungarees 🙈) purely as SO many stores only do maternity online (which is ridiculous as if there’s ever a time in your life when you need to be able to try things on it’s when you’re pregnant!) but Mothercare and jojo stock them in store. I bought my black ones a few weeks ago in the sale at Mothercare for £14, also got some dresses for £10 each, not sure if the sale is still on xx

Abi58 · 19/07/2019 12:56

@MMama18 glad you're feeling ok and great news about your scan! Not far away either! ☺️

Omg I haven't even thought about maternity I'm in leggings today as so bloated (look 6 months) and uncomfortable! Where's good to go for them?

MMama18 · 19/07/2019 12:28

@Abi58 can’t complain, tiredness and sore boobs still but that’s all really. Had to pull out my maternity jeans already as I’m really starting to show now! My scan has come through for 6th August when I’ll be 12+6 by my current dates so excited for that ☺️ Xx

OP posts:
Abi58 · 19/07/2019 12:12

@MMama18 thank you 🥰
And hahaha 😂😂😂 it was just one of those 'well what can you do' moments 😂 my poor husband

Ah hopefully I feel awful it's more dizziness which is making the nausea worse and I'm struggling a bit as feel unsteady and when on the computer it's like it's swaying 🤢

How are you??

MMama18 · 19/07/2019 09:20

@Gatomum it sounds promising to me! I only ever used cheapies when TTC DD but didn’t bother this time and we just DTD every other day from when I stopped bleeding to when my CM had gone past EWCM and back to sticky - hopefully you’ve caught the window too!
@Abi58 that’s a beautifully clear picture! I’m so sorry but I laughed so hard at your comment that I nearly pissed myself too 😂 the nasty sicky phase is often only the first few weeks so 🤞 it passes quickly for you! Xx
