Anyone else suddenly started spotting?

So I know no one can possibly tell me if im pregnant or not but I’m wondering if anyone else has just suddenly experienced spotting before their period?
AF is due on weds and today I have had light brown spotting. I’ve had crazy symptoms for the past week and a bit that I’ve never experienced before, in particular sore boobs, nausea and bloating that has now disappeared. I am putting these down to PMS symptoms in a bid to avoid symptom spotting (literally impossible) but the new spotting today is taking everything in me to not get my hopes up.

@pinkoi good luck to you hun, let us know how you get on 🤞🏻

Ok @Beclaboo @Coffeebrew I think I am now starting to see things. I had a cheapie left in the house, thought sod it just get used. But the cheap plastic screen was scratched up soooo bad. So I left it to 'develop' and once I was sure the ink had gone across I swore I could see something, so I took it apart and I swear I see a faint line?!? I have included all pics including the tweaks I do.

In person it has colour but the picture isn't picking up and it's Uber faint, now I don't know what to think 🤷🏼‍♀️

Please tell me what you think!

Can I join folks?
TTC no 2
Same situation - been spotting for 3 days 1 day before af due, on the day it was due and one day after.
It's soo slight. Little brown flecks when I wipe once a day. The rest of the time nothing. Don't usually spot for days before period. It just goes from a spot the the full monty in a couple of hours...
Have done one of those cheapy one step strip tests which show nothing, although reading the amazon reviews retrospectively it seems they are very hit and miss.
I have 1 frer in the cupboard. Going to test monday which is CD 32.
Last pregnancy I didn't test until day 40!!

Fingers crossed for us all xxx

kell2126 · 26/04/2019 18:31

@beanchopper haha it’s driving me mental too! I’m not sure really but I guess going to test daily now till af or bfp: I’ve got 2 more frers left that’ll take me to Sunday and after that if there’s still no sign of anything I’ll stick to ICs because I’ve spent waaay too much money on tests this cycle 😬☹️ GL x

Beanchopper · 26/04/2019 17:29

My god, just re-read what I wrote and I sound mad 😳 this TTC is driving me insane clearly!

Beanchopper · 26/04/2019 17:25

It's very disappointing, at what point do you ladies stop testing? I am thinking at 14dpo, cycle day 37 and roughly 5 days since the spotting stopped, I should just stop testing 🤷🏼‍♀️

I read somewhere that it's 6-12 days after implementation it's possible to get a positive, but if that's true for me that would mean roughly I would mean I have up until 5th may (that would be the 12th day after implantation), does that sound right? Cause that would be 21dpo and cycle day 44 🤦🏼‍♀️😫🤦🏼‍♀️ I just don't know, feel like that's a very long window and like I am clutching at straws 😓

kell2126 · 26/04/2019 10:24

Sorry for the BFNs today ladies – same story here Sad fx for us all x

Coffeebrew · 26/04/2019 09:20

@beanchopper it sounds like our situations are the same with the spotting at the weekend and the nature of our 'normal' periods.

I have been pregnant before but always ended in MC which is why if i get a positive result again my gyneocologist will offer some intervention.
In past situations i have spotted from just before or around the time of my period until such a time i unfortunately lose it, but my hormones have always been slow to rise, hency why possibly it could be still too soon to test.

I read the internet until my head spins lol, everything from implantation has no symptoms other than the possible spotting that lasts no longer than 2 days, to others who say they had spotting for 6 days even throughout the first few months, with light period symptoms, so i guess everyone is different and although there are common characteristics, we don't all conform to a 'norm.'

I susspect in February i had a chemical pregnancy as i had 2 bleeds with a weeks gap inbetween with early loss characteristics, but last month i had what i would call a normal period for me, which is why i am so confused this time.

I wonder if anyone has ever had prolonged implantation bleeding, negative test early on and then later on tested positive, as i say everyone is different so anything could be possible i guess.

Beanchopper · 26/04/2019 08:10

@Coffeebrew spooky, I just came on to update as well 😂 hope you get some answers soon. It drives me made how all confusing this is 🤦🏼‍♀️

I am the same bfn 😫

Cramping has disappeared, still a little emotional but I think I am just stressed with desperation.

Surely with spotting last weekend if I was to see a positive it would of happened by now?

Hubby asked could of been my period, I mean who knows it's just what I had last weekend is the absolute opposite of my period. It was so light and only there when I wiped, a light brown continually, no thicker then a discharge and no red/clotting. My periods are horrific when they happen, pain, extremely heavy/clotting and I get extreme bloating.

I am guessing I should stop testing 😓

Coffeebrew · 26/04/2019 07:51

I tested again this morning with a cheap test strip and got a negative, but if my period was only due 24th, it could still be too early for a decent hormone rise. I am still spotting very light pink blood on and off. If still spotting by monday or even if it stops and still negative monday, i will go to my GP practice.
Time line wise i feel this fits with implantation as although not 100% sure, i think i ovulated around the 10th and apparently implantation can happen up to 12 days later, which would explain the spotting starting on the 21st, a few days before period due. Normally i get one (sorry for the TMI) incident of blood when i wipe after using the loo and then my period starts very heavy within a day or 2 and i get very bad cramps, so this very light pink spotting that for a couple of days was accompanied by very light cramps, yet the spotting continues after cramps subside isn't characteristic of a period at all for me, usually i only bleed for 2-3 days heavy and it trails off. So it's a bit of a mystery

Beanchopper · 25/04/2019 19:58

Just some cramps throughout today and emotional, I have got myself very down in dumps! I hate that I build up my hopes every month, I say every month I am going to take a break but hear I am again 🤦🏼‍♀️ still no sign of af either

@kell2126 good luck to you hun, keep us updated how you get on and that you get that BFP soon 🤞🏻

Coffeebrew · 25/04/2019 19:29

No real update as yet guys. Not tested again, might do tomorrow, still spotting, sometimes slightly more then eases off again, it's now 5 days very light bleed mainly when i wipe after going to the loo. I still fear if I am pregnant it's still to early to get a decent hormone level, but unfortunately for me, prolonged spotting results in an MC, but i appreciate that's not the case for everyone who spots for a prolonged time, it can work out. I will go to the dr Monday if still spotting.

kell2126 · 25/04/2019 19:03

@beanchopper and @coffeebrew I am watching this thread like a hawk for your updates as I'm in a similar situation: AF due tomorrow, normally have spotting (starting light and getting heavier) over the 2 days prior to AF due date. This cycle had a light pink wipe morning Tuesday and a couple of brown flecks on pantyliner during the same day and then nothing yesterday or today. Apart from a bit of dizziness all other 'symptoms' disappeared from Tues onward. Will be testing tomorrow morning. GL to all of us! x

Beanchopper · 25/04/2019 10:53

@Beclaboo another day another negative 🤦🏼‍♀️ this is Day 36 and usually when my cycles end latest, so it's a waiting game now

Beclaboo · 25/04/2019 10:14

@beanchopper @coffeebrew any updates?
Yes it’s so frustrating that all the symptoms for pregnancy are for PMS why can’t they be opposites 😩 so cruel

Coffeebrew · 24/04/2019 21:24

@Beclaboo thank you. Not holding out much hope but then maybe we will be pleasantly surprised, doubtful but never just know i guess. Spotting is such a pain and can be so confusing, why can't it be clear cut lol.

Beanchopper · 24/04/2019 21:16

@Beclaboo it's very cruel. It's like my local Superdrug, the pregnancy tests are right next to the nappies 🤦🏼‍♀️

Got major cramps, bloating and quite emotional so I am expecting af to start at any time. Feeling the frustration tonight 😫

Beclaboo · 24/04/2019 21:01

@beanchopper I know 😟 that damn spotting! Also I noticed in my local Tesco that tampons etc are in the same aisle as baby stuff. How cruel 😂

@coffeebrew so sorry to hear about your MCs Flowers will keep my fingers crossed for you!!

Coffeebrew · 24/04/2019 18:42

@Beanchopper thank you for your reply. It's a long struggle for us with unknown fertility issues and failed treatment, that now seems to have triggered me conceiving naturally , but keeping it longer than a few weeks is proving difficult with several MC, which is why now my new gynecologist has said she will prescribe clexain injections if i get a positive test this time. But, despite knowing my own body, it's reassuring to see you say everyone is different, as the intetnet makes one feel you should conform to 'normal' symptoms, when it's not the norm in reality is it.

Beanchopper · 24/04/2019 18:17

@Coffeebrew test again in a few days or if your an addict like me then with FMU. Try not to symptom spot, you will drive yourself mad. I know some symptoms are hard to ignore (like the spotting but our bodies do weird and wonderful things that make no sense to us and everyone is different.

Good luck to you though, keep us updated how you get on 🤞🏻

Coffeebrew · 24/04/2019 15:40

I wrote an almost identical post on here today lol, this could be me to a T. I have been spotting on and off very light pink blood since sunday 21st. Period due any time between 21st and today 24th as sometimes 28 day or 32 cycle.
I did a test yesterday which was negative but am wondering when best to test again, as i don't think I have built up enough hornome to show yet. I have had very light tummy cramps and my breasts feel fuller than normal, plus i am hungry and thirsty all the time. Definitely no heavy, clotty, painful period which would be normal for me.
Very interested on anyones thoughts on this post.

Beanchopper · 24/04/2019 14:37

@Beclaboo oh yeah I never trust symptoms to more, drive yourself mad! The brown spotting is a new one though, it's all so very confusing 🤦🏼‍♀️

Beclaboo · 24/04/2019 13:51

@beanchopper - that’s very true and I’ve learnt to assume all symptoms are PMS and that’s it 🙄😂

I hope your AF shows up soon then, either than or you get your BFP no in between!

OP posts:
Beanchopper · 24/04/2019 12:13

@Beclaboo sorry to hear that, but means a new cycle 🤞🏻

Well af is due tomorrow, I feel like she's not gunna show up, which isn't unusual for me because of being regular. I am glad I didn't get too excited about the faint line yest, I guess I learnt my lesson from all the false positives last cycle. Until it's dark actual line I won't believe it. Now to just wait until af shows up 🤷🏼‍♀️

Beclaboo · 24/04/2019 11:21

@beanchopper oh I see!!
Ah how weird! AF came as expected this morning so at least I know I’m very regular still I suppose!

Beanchopper · 24/04/2019 11:03

@Beclaboo also the blue strip test with the line is an OPK haha
