@Chembecky you're not out yet! Same to you @starkid - got my fingers crossed for both of you!

@MrsEG oh those graphs are interesting! I'm such a nerd 😂 when does Ava predict your ovulation date? I was just reading something on their website that said resting heart rate starts to increase in the says leading up to ov and then peaks in the mid luteal phase - looks on that as though yours is starting to come up?

@coconutcurls welcome :)

coconutcurls · 22/04/2019 12:58

Hello all,

New here. I'm 29, finished my last packet of pills on 5th April, had my withdrawal bleed as usual and now just waiting to see if/when my cycle settles down. We're just going to see how it goes for a couple of months while my body settles down after being on microgynon for 10 years. It's nice to read everyone's journey! Smile

starkid · 22/04/2019 12:14

@1990shopefulftm - welcome! I've added your stats to the next list :)

After yesterday's bfn and today's spotting, and boobs stopped hurting, I think I'll be out by this evening 😣 so doing some retail therapy today!

ValidUser · 22/04/2019 12:05

@FlapJackered it's so stressful, isn't it? The 2 years thing makes no sense.

Could you print out NICE guidelines for your gp? Pretty sure they recommend one year and your doctor should be 100% aware of this.

MrsEG · 22/04/2019 11:20

@Tropicana1 Will do! At the mo my temps keep dropping night by night which sounds about right before ovulating, so fingers crossed. Still negative OPKs though so will see what the rest of the week brings!

Chembecky · 22/04/2019 10:57

@Tropicana1 AF due tomorrow...I tested yday with a FRER and got a BFN so I'm not expecting anything...! I'll test with an IC on Weds if AF doesn't show...

Tropicana1 · 22/04/2019 10:19

@Fivebyfive2 @FlapJackered thanks guys! I'm feeling a lot more positive about it all now. Just want this TWW out the way now so we can get onto the next cycle and hopefully DH will be feeling it a bit more. I've basically in my head written off this cycle even though I know it's not impossible to get pregnant from 2 days before ov, I just keep thinking it's super unlikely. On the plus side I'm not planning to test at all because of it so I guess I'll save myself some money there 😂
Also @FlapJackered that podcast sounds absolute bollocks! Seriously who is even doing a "fertility help" podcast and then spouting unhelpful miserable comments like that?!

@MrsEG Keep me updated with how the Ava matches to your OPKs - I'm definitely interested to hear what it's like, the amount I've spent on OPKs I'm probably halfway to an ava bracelet!

Anyone testing soon?

KatBeCool · 22/04/2019 09:48

@FlapJackered that podcast woman is a bitch and chances are, it's the last 20% who turned to her podcast for support. Heartless. And your doctors aren't better either, why do you have to wait two years when it's a year for everyone else? If you go private, make sure to mention isoflavones as you can take them only for a limited number of cycles. On a positive note, up did get pregnant, so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to again.

Crossfitgirl · 22/04/2019 08:28

@flapjackered those odds sound totally wrong to me. I mean, if that's true then why do they say its normal to take over a year? I'm in the 20% and so are pretty much all my friends who've had kids, all without help and all taking longer than 6 months. What a load of bollocks. Glad you're feeling a bit better today and enjoy the remainder of the sun and Bank hol 😘

FlapJackered · 22/04/2019 07:29

Sorry for the mini breakdown yesterday girls 🙈 I have pulled myself together again. I am sure once I have ov'd I will be back on board the ttc wagon full steam ahead! 😂 it's just such a frustrating process isn't it! 😬

@KatBeCool cd20 and it's so faint now. That is a great you have your positive and good to know it can turn around quite quickly. They were just all so dark last time I took the Soy, so I was hoping it would be the same, but hopefully I will be joining you on the other side soon anyway!

@MrsEG that's good, I think I will give it a go. Sorry for the rant, minor breakdown yesterday 🙈

@Crossfitgirl Thanks. I will do my best to convince the doc. Last time I saw her in Jan (before I got my bfp) I was in floods of tears and I told her how difficult I was finding the ttc and she said I would need to wait until 2 years. Heart of stone! 😂 I will definitely go private if she won't now as I am close to giving up but I don't want to give up until I have tried everything I can.

@cupcakesandglitter I have tried with two different GPs, one gave me a print out and the other Googled the Mind charity and told me I should call them or try and find a local counsellor. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I have put off going as I am not too keen on the idea of talking about myself and crying to a stranger but I think it might be worth a go after my mini breakdown this weekend. 😂🙈

Thanks @Tropicana1 I think I just hit a wall this weekend with it all. I listened to a podcast which was meant to be a fertility support one, but the first thing they said was '30% of women get pregnant in the first cycle, 60% in the first 3, and 80% in the first 6' and then she said to the other one, 'what happens to the other 20%' and she said 'I suppose they can only get pregnant with ivf or help.' For some reason that made me feel completely hopeless! 🙈 I have got a grip today though but I think you're right, a break might be needed 😂
That's great you had a chat with your DH and it's all out in the open. I have a similar issue with my DH, we have been together for 11 years and of course sex is not going to be as exciting or frequent as at the beginning. Like you said you could tell him you are going to leave it in his hands to initiate next cycle, you could say you will tell him when you're fertile and then explain about the need to Dtd around ovulation, and see what happens! He might surprise you if he is more in control of it?

MrsH497 · 21/04/2019 23:19

@Fivebyfive2 thanks for the new thread!

@PinkFizz19 so sorry lovely be kind to yourself xxx

KatBeCool · 21/04/2019 22:49

@FlapJackered and just like that my opk went from almost white yesterday to a blazing positive today (just now), so it's possible and I think Clomid is affecting it. What CD are you?

Marleym28 · 21/04/2019 22:10

I had my first flashy face today Wink
...we have guests though so who knows if DH will want to..
my first time using the CB sticks, fingers crossed

1990shopefulftm · 21/04/2019 18:45

@MrsEG Thank you:) it's only happened when i've been ill before but won't let it worry me too much.

MrsEG · 21/04/2019 18:34

@FlapJackered My GP was brilliant, they had to diagnose anxiety first but then I had the referral and it was so worth it. I’d even say maybe try and have a few private sessions if your GP won’t refer as I found it so beneficial.

@cupcakesandglitter No reason at all why you can’t feel hopeful - I had burning nipples before my BFP too although much later, about 9DPO. Keeping mum fx for you!

@ValidUser I’m in my first week of using my Ava bracelet but enjoying it so far! I think I’ll ovulate a week tomorrow so testing with OPKs also this week to see if the data matches up with the bracelet!

@1990shopefulftm I find I have the odd random cycle, I wouldn’t worry too much if it’s just a one off. Welcome to the TTC journey!

Hope you have all had a lovely Easter - may all our eggs be fertilised x

1990shopefulftm · 21/04/2019 16:39

hello ladies, i'm 24 and got AF this morning so start of cycle 1 of TTC for me.
AF was 3 days early, and apart from a couple of bad months for my health last year, my cycles have been in a very regular pattern for three years since coming off cerazete so hoping it's just a one off shorter cycle for me.

Crossfitgirl · 21/04/2019 16:10

@flapjackered if it's any help, you remember we got referred to the fertility clinic? When I got pregnant, our appointment was still about a month away, and the doctor told me not to cancel the appointment straight away, as if I MC'd they may still look at why it happened and consider progesterone etc.
I think with your irregular cycles that in itself is a good enough reason, as they referred me after 6 months purely based on short luteal phase and past history of cysts / surgery to remove cyst. I'd tell them you suspect PCOS and tell them why, lay on how long you've been trying, and just lay it on thick and stomp your feet and refuse to leave until they do something.it's really not a big deal to them to make a referral and do a few investigations. Would DH come with you too do you think? Xx

@validuser you did 😊 we found out at our 16 week scan and had it confirmed again at 20 weeks so hopefully very slim chance of them being wrong! Hehe x

Lola871 · 21/04/2019 16:02

Currently 4-5 dpo, haven't thought much about it yet as have been working every day for over two weeks!! Nothing like keeping busy to distract you from TTC 😴

Will be trying not to think too much about it until next weekend at the earliest, due on the following Tues or Weds so will see how things go! Happy Easter everyone 🐰🐣🐤🍫🍫🍫

Fivebyfive2 · 21/04/2019 13:47

@cupcakesandglitter, keeping everything crossed for you... Hips don't lie!! I'll miss line of duty tonight because we are out, but will catch up tomorrow. I'm loving it!! @Jessikka, ha ha I knew you meant Line, but it did make me chuckle 🙂

@Dollywilde, any plans for your 30th next week? Xx

@Tropicana1, it is like a minefield sometimes isn't it?! I always try to make an effort outside of fw, so my dh doesn't think I'm 'using' him, but then have gotten annoyed if he then doesn't initiate during fw... Taking ttc out of the equation, about twice a week was OK for us both, so trying to do every other day is a bit of a jump!! Just try a few different things (schedule, not saying when it's The Day, getting naked!) and see what works for you two. Xx

I'm already really hoping we've done enough to get lucky this cycle although am fully expecting af in two weeks!! We are in Wales on 2nd May for two nights, so would be just our look at af appears while we're having our time away!!

KatBeCool · 21/04/2019 13:26

@FlapJackered my opks are doing the exact same thing, super light when I've been expecting them to darken by now. However, I think last cycle exact same thing happened and it went from light to positive very rapidly. Since I'm on Clomid and soy is supposed to do a similar thing, maybe it's normal?

ValidUser · 21/04/2019 13:19

@MrsEG that's brilliant! They alive, damnit!

I treated myself to an Ava bracelet. Makes me feel like I'm doing something!

@Crossfitgirl did I hear you were getting a little girl? ❤️

Dollywilde · 21/04/2019 12:31

Ooh @cupcakesandglitter - fingers crossed! Irritatingly, sore boobs are a usual AF symptom for me since coming off the pill in 2017 (was utterly convinced I was pregnant first few months despite not trying - that was nerve wracking) so I can’t use them to symptom spot :( sounds promising for you tho!

Dollywilde · 21/04/2019 12:29

@Tropicana1, sympathies. My libido tends to be higher than DHs so I’m a bit concerned about this if we didn’t catch this month - our honeymoon meant we were both relaxed during fertile time this cycle but I’m slightly concerned that he’ll feel pressured next month on. May have to follow your lead in terms of being more relaxed.

I’ve managed to pick up a cold so wasting this lovely day inside. Slept really badly last night but can’t help but interpret cold symptoms as pregnancy symptoms! I can already tell I’m going to drive myself mad with this...

Bit peeved as it’s the last weekend of my 20s too (30 on Weds Confused) but I’m sick and skint from our holiday so it’s going to be a quiet one! We have a nice family lunch tomorrow though and I’m out on my actual birthday. Keep thinking I may as well make the most of it as I’m 8 dpo today so planning on testing next weekend if AF doesn’t show before!

cupcakesandglitter · 21/04/2019 12:26

@Fivebyfive2 I LOVE line of duty!!!! Currently watching season 2 on Netflix, it's soooo addictive!! Xx

@FlapJackered sorry you're not feeling great 😩 I'd go back and push them to refer you to counselling, if I remember correctly they refer you to healthy minds first? Don't let them fob you off xxx

@Tropicana1 I think TTC can definitely cause pressure on the guy's side, it's really hard for it to not just become a baby making thing - maybe don't tell him when you're fertile but make extra effort (lingerie etc) to get him in the mood? A few of us just ended up going naked in front of them, it worked more often than not 😂 x

So I'm CD18 and the sore nips are back. Last time I had them was when I had my BFP... trying not to look into it but can't help but feel hopeful? X

Jessikka · 21/04/2019 12:14

@Fivebyfive2 I definitely meant LINE of Duty... not the video game call of duty lol
