Well my typing is terrible at work haha. You know what I mean, fingers crossed!

McHelenz · 24/04/2019 10:58

Finally DTD on one high day! Now entering my very first TWW, here's for sticky thought!

LikeTheFruit · 24/04/2019 10:38

Morning all.

Hope we end the month with some BFPs. Feel we're due some. I'm now CD 30, BFN on a FRER yesterday though was in afternoon. It's our first wedding anniversary was hoping to give DH an extra pressie but never mind. Has an extra special anniversary present of a flexible sigmoidoscopy 😂😂. Have the reason for not trying too much this month is I've waited 8 months for it and didn't want to cancel now I finally had a date for it.

No real symptoms to stop, boobs tiny bit sore of a squeeze them, other than that nada.

starkid · 24/04/2019 10:01

@FlapJackered - hooray for peak! I hope you threw your legs up over the headboard afterwards, for a little gravitational help Wink

Well that's the thing, it does affect fertility, my specialist nurses told me so 'but you can have IVF still!', and everything I've read on the subject has told me so. But when I brought it up to the doctor last time she just said 'well, just because there's a higher chance of it affecting fertility, doesn't mean it will.' It hadn't been a year yet though, so guess she couldn't give preferential treatment even if it's likely.

But it's been a year off contraception now, so now can move forward with the whole process, will see if any of the tests link the 2 together...
Of course, it could all be caused by DH riding a motorbike a lot in his early 20s! Grin

Jessikka · 24/04/2019 09:50

Usually happens when I'm stressed - uni was a very tiring experience lol.

I usually find that the longer I do things I slowly start to bring myself around and am able to rationalise logically what I'm doing 😂

I hid the OH drill in my bedside cabinet and once shaved my own eyebrow so all jokes aside I DO have a deep down slight worry that I could knock the baby's cot one day or scare him etc.

Will cross that bridge when I need to though. Hopefully I will be too exhausted for any shenanigans lol!

dahlia123 · 24/04/2019 09:07

What a weird night @Jessikka! Do you wake up the next morning and have to work out what happened the night before often?

@FlapJackered congratulations on your peak and DTD. Fingers crossed for you.

I think I'm out. My temp still went up but my boobs are no longer sore. That's a sure sign that I'm a couple of days from my period. Onto the next month!

MrsEG · 24/04/2019 08:59

@Jessikka Ha! I used to sleep walk but would just go and sit at the top of the stairs and mumble to myself, once I was also found just lay in bed eating a KitKat but otherwise fast asleep...

@Meenabeena I just try and keep busy during the TWW, make weekend plans, go to the gym, etc! It can really drag otherwise!

@FlapJackered Yay! I don’t believe that there’s any ‘good’ or ‘bad’ baby making positions - if those swimmers get in there you’ve a good a chance as anyone!!

Marleym28 · 24/04/2019 08:54

@FlapJackered yey!
I got my static smilie today too.

We can do this :)

Meenabeena · 24/04/2019 08:19

hahaha @FlapJackered I've been there with OH. Id suggest raising your leg afterwards. Let gravity do its thing :D

KatBeCool · 24/04/2019 08:10

@FlapJackered I so told you that you'll get your positive opk and you shouldn't worry! 🙄 (yep, totally rolling my eyes at you). Wishing you the best bding times!

FlapJackered · 24/04/2019 07:59

I finally got a peak this morning! 🎉 Although DH almost couldn't finish and had to finish with me on top which I don't think is ideal for baby making. 😬 Oh well at least it happened I suppose. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Jessikka omg that's hilarious, although I am sure not so much for you! Does it happen often? I wonder what the underwear did to offend you in your unconscious state? 😂

@Meenabeena I think I can speak for most of us here that we do think about it, a lot! 😂 I try and find a project or work or something to throw myself into.

@orangeloo I will question the doctor but unfortunately if computer says no there I am just going to have to go private, very frustrating! Hurrah for your high ff score, its feels like such an achievement doesn't it 😂 It's looking good for me too this cycle 🤞🏻

@starkid I suppose it is a good sign they don't think it will have any effect on ttc? Although it would be good to get some preferential treatment!

Meenabeena · 24/04/2019 07:32

Oh gosh symptom spotting is the worst. Im gonna try so hard not to do that this time round. I’ve had the awful boob pains which lead me to do a test and of course AF showed up the morning after Sad How do you guys deal with the two week wait? How do you not think about it...

Jessikka · 24/04/2019 07:08

Morning all!

I'm not sure which dpo I am this month but I'm just waiting for AF to arrive at some point. Cycles have varied so who knows 🙈 not sure she's coming though as having no cramps etc this month!

I'm struggling to sleep atm, can only assume the weather being warmer is responsible. I found myself up last night stuffing all of my underwear under my bed 🤷🏼‍♀️... I sleepwalk. Usually stress related but it's been gone for a while. Now it's back with a vengeance.

So I'm exhausted from swapping and turning and now from my midnight jaunt.

Pass me that bucket of coffee would you? thanks! 😂

orangeloo · 23/04/2019 22:26

Hi ladies, wooow this thread moves so fast. Sorry for all who got af.

Congrats @AysLon on the bfp!! And congrats to any others but I think that was it.

Welcome to all the newbies!!

@FlapJackered everything I have seen says it's over a year for under 35's and 6 months for overs so I would double check that.

Had a good and busy weekend just going here and there. Got my static smiley cd18 and think I ov'd 19th so 4dpo today. Determined, hope and don't think I will symptom spot. Easy to say at this stage but I feel like I can't be bothered to use the energy and get my hopes up. Got a high intercourse timing rating on FF so that's good enough for me. Got 21 day bloods end of this week so - I am expecting low progesterone due to long time spotting before each period. If this month is not successful I will try push OH to go for sperm analysis due to family history and childhood illness. Not gonna be easy I feel.

Hope everyone's had a nice evening.

MrsEG · 23/04/2019 21:15

@LokiCat Same (mine was in the form of burping!) but it only really started at like 13DPO for me so the day I got my BFP, I didn’t really have anything other than the boobs and dreams before that! Bloating and cramping only kicked in after the BFP. Might have been a late implanter! It’s so hard not to question everything though - even a sneeze or sniffle I’d be like ‘must be pregnancy rhinitis!!’ 🙊

LokiCat · 23/04/2019 21:11

@MrsEG that's true. I keep searching for the symptoms from when I got my BFP.. Apart from sore boobs I was really bloated and gassy (all I had available was high in fibre popcorn which got rid of it 😂). Now I question every time I feel bloated (and then realize it's probably the curry I had...)!

MrsEG · 23/04/2019 21:00

@Fivebyfive2 Ha, Thanks! DH is delighted about it at the moment (was home a full hour early from work...) but we’ll see if he’s still as happy next week when we have to DTD three days in a row... don’t even think we managed that on honeymoon 😂

@DanceMagicDance1 I have an Ava also, my first cycle using it though but so far so good! It’s very simple and practical and you get a lot of data out of it :)

Loving all the symptom spotting chat! I used to be terrible for it (I would google absolutely anything - ‘sneezing sign of pregnancy’, ‘pee a bit more yellow than usual pregnancy’ I was insane) but ever since my BFP I don’t bother - I had basically no symptoms at all!! Really sore boobs were my only giveaway, and some super vivid dreams. Other than that I was fine. But everyone is totally different, so who knows! My sister swears her nausea kicked in at 3 weeks!!

MrsPandigital · 23/04/2019 20:34

@Fivebyfive2 ooo I like that , may the force be with us 😁😁x

Fivebyfive2 · 23/04/2019 20:28

@Tropicana1, sorry missed your post! I may be tempted into testing a day or 2 early... But will try to hold out! Xx

Fivebyfive2 · 23/04/2019 20:26

@MrsPandigital, my dh was like 'ooo, that's star wars day' (May the 4th be with you) 'so maybe the force will be strong and you'll get a bfp'... Because that is how these things work, obviously 🙄😂

Tropicana1 · 23/04/2019 20:25

@Fivebyfive2 yay cycle buddies! Glow is saying same as you, 4th of may but my period tracker app which has been tracking my cycles for yearsss is saying the 1st so will test on the first if no AF by then!

MrsPandigital · 23/04/2019 20:08

@Fivebyfive2 my app is saying to test on 4th May too😁 this is my first month trying so not very hopeful but fingers crossed all the same x

DanceMagicDance1 · 23/04/2019 19:27

Thank you for the welcomes. @dahlia123 thank you for the info on Ava. I've ordered one and it should come in a week so I'm looking forward to seeing how it works. Also it should come in time for me to ware it from the beginning of my cycle so should be able to get things going.

coconutcurls · 23/04/2019 18:29

Went back to school today after the Easter holidays and for some reason the children in my class are convinced I'm pregnant (they're 7 and 8)... maybe they know something I don't! Hmm

Fivebyfive2 · 23/04/2019 18:27

My goodness it's been busy on here today!!

@MrsAW2018, so sorry to hear af got you. Don't feel silly for being upset, we've all been there!! Treat yo self to something nice though! Xx

MrsEG, good luck with smep, have fun with all the action 👍

@flapjackered, hope your dh isn't still sulking about his bike!! X

@keyboard91 @Tropicana1, sounds like we are cycle buds this month! I am 3dpo, fertility friend says the recommended test day is 4th May. Normally I'm not much of a symptom spotter, but as this is the first try since my d&c I think I'll be going a bit mad!!
