So I'm a bit of a loser and do lots of crafting. My monthly crafting project has just come, hopefully it'll distract me through the tww!

Hannah192 · 26/04/2019 09:55

@Keyboard91 @MrsEG thank you for the advise. AF isn’t here yet so keeping everything crossed.

@cupcakesandglitter sorry to hear you had a bad time yesterday. Sending hugs x

@Dollywilde fx for you testing tomorrow 🤞🏼

LindyMoe · 26/04/2019 09:11

@coffeelover123 oh I definitely understand the pressure thing, would love to not think about it for a few days but who am I kidding.

At this point I just want to know, because the bloating I'm going through is ridiculous. I haven't eaten anything today and my stomach feels horrendous 😭

coffeelover123 · 26/04/2019 08:55

@LindyMoe - apologies! I thought I was doing a general post but it seems I replied directly to your message. All the jargon-y things come up with explanations beside them for me: DPO- (days past ovulation) AF (aunt flo), etc.
No sore boobs or anything else out of the ordinary. Pretty sure my new hubby would relish the chance to keep trying but we currently live in different countries (for work) and he won't be over during my predicted 'fertility windows' for the next two months :-(
I think I'm putting too much pressure on this first time.

Marleym28 · 26/04/2019 08:48

Welcome @LindyMoe @coffeelover123

Today is day 1 in the TWW and I'm determined to remain chilled. who am I kidding?! I give it until tomorrow before I start symptom spotting hahah

And one else in the window too to buddy with? X

LindyMoe · 26/04/2019 08:46

@coffeelover123 thanks for explaining DPO lol. How do your boobs feel?

coffeelover123 · 26/04/2019 08:39

Just joined this site today and I think I'm 7-8 DPO after TTC for the first time after getting married last weekend - yay!

So far, I feel no symptoms. The only somewhat unusual thing is that I'm very tired but that could just be coming down from the wedding 'high' and getting back to work.

I'm 37 and trying for my first child so I know my chances of conceiving so soon are slim but I'm keeping everything crossed just in case. I'm pleased to have stumbled on this site as it'll be a nice way to check in with women who are on the same journey! Keeping everything crossed for a BFP and no AF this month!

Dollywilde · 26/04/2019 08:39

Haha, have fun @mrsEG Grin

Still no sign of AF, cd31 for me. I did have a weird 35 day cycle last month but I’m usually 28 - 32 days so if I’m still in tomorrow morning will be testing. Sod’s law I’ll probably wake up with my period tomorrow morning but for the time being I’m clinging onto hope Smile DH is hoping for a BFP for both the obvious reason and the fact that we have a deal on - we’re driving to a pub lunch with friends on Saturday and I’ve made him agree if it’s a BFN he has to be the designated driver, whereas I’m obviously driving if it’s good news!

LindyMoe · 26/04/2019 08:38

Hi everyone, just joined Mumsnet so trying to learn all the jargon!
Need some help as I'm driving myself crazy - period is 5 days late so I took a test all excited but its a BFN. Have a sore lower back (like during my period) and everything I eat, I mean everything horribly bloats me.... Had to open my jeans buttons at work yesterday.

What's wrong with me? 😭.
Also tried to get a doctors appointment in case I'm really ill but no availability for a month

Jooloo11 · 26/04/2019 08:29

@orangeloo - that's exactly it! Prob better known as 'back up syringes' or something - threat syringes sounds vaguely sinister!!

Fivebyfive2 · 26/04/2019 08:24

@MrsEG, sending erotica vibes your way!!

Am now roughly half way through the tww and I'm determined to stay distracted, not symptom spot and not test until at least 4th May. All very ambitious!

MrsEG · 26/04/2019 08:13

@thumper59 Congratulations! It must feel so lovely telling people, hardest secret in the world to keep!

@Fivebyfive2 Absolutely!! DH is out this morning so I’m cleaning and tidying our room like a mad woman, the clean sheets are on the bed - we are ready! Haha. I so get that! There are so many Avengers spoilers on twitter already I’d be so mad if I hadn’t already seen it!

Fivebyfive2 · 26/04/2019 07:59

@MrsEG, sounds like you're in for a fun weekend of getting on down 😜 Go for it gal!! Xx

Happy Friday ladies, anyone got weekend plans? I can pretty much only visit this thread online from now until late Saturday night, after we've seen Avengers.... Determined to avoid spoilers!

thumper59 · 26/04/2019 07:34

@Jooloo11 I'm great thanks. Hope you are well. I'm 12+4 today. Had our scan yesterday! Now we've told people it feels more real

@orangeloo I'm great thanks hope you are too!

Good luck to all of you in the tww, even though it feels like a much longer wait!

MrsEG · 26/04/2019 06:02

@Chembecky Good luck this morning 🤞🏻

@cupcakesandglitter Sorry to hear that - my husband bought me a baby book and some socks when we got a BFP, I can’t even look at them now they’re locked in a drawer until we need them again. Hope you’re feeling a bit better today - TTC is so tough.

So, I’ve had a massive temp drop this morning at CD13! Luckily me and DH are off work today and then it’s the weekend so I sure hope his balls are ready!!!

dahlia123 · 26/04/2019 00:49

Thanks @starkid @MrsEG @LokiCat
Will be making the most of the weekend. Have already eaten a Lindt rabbit and some on sale Hotel Chocolat.

Glad you enjoyed playgroup @MrsEG - feels like you're in a good place at the minute.

Fingers crossed for you @Chembecky looking forward to seeing your Frer.

Sending you hugs @cupcakesandglitter. Sounds like you have a good one in your DH.

@McHelenz symptom spotting can drive you crazy. I'm resolved to try and avoid it next 2ww.
Does anyone have any good distraction techniques?

orangeloo · 25/04/2019 23:24

Hi everyone

@Fivebyfive2 yes I used to look at baby stuff in the very beginning and even before ttc but once the reality of the ttc journey hit I just feel like it's a torture I can do without and don't like getting excited about something I don't have. I know that sounds really negative haha.

@thumper59 hi, nice to see you, how are you doing?

Okay so 'threat syringes' can someone clarify for the avoidance of doubt. if dtd is out for whatever reason the male has self love into a receptacle and you syringe it out and insert into the baby oven? HmmGrin haha I actually love it because it sounds like something I would well entertainConfused and reminds me that the fact we are even considering it, how driven and determined we are for those bfp's.

Dollywilde · 25/04/2019 23:20

Oh @chembecky so exciting! Can’t wait until tomorrow for you!

@cupcakesandglitter god that sound horrible. So sorry for you, DH sounds like a good un though. I don’t think people talk about how hard this can be enough xxx

LokiCat · 25/04/2019 22:55

So I've started this new obsession of watching YouTube videos of people finding out they're pregnant and then crying along with them 🙈 it's not good for me, but I can't seem to stop!!
I'm sure I'll venture to the labour vlogs soon as well..

LokiCat · 25/04/2019 22:53

@cupcakesandglitter so sorry you had that experience ❤️
TTC journey can be so draining emotionally. It's so great that you have a supportive DH. Hopefully we'll all be in a position soon to buy all the baby items 🤞🏽❤️

@Chembecky fingers crossed for you if you test in the morning! I hope it's positive news!! 🤞🏽🤞🏽

@dahlia123 sorry AF got you xx

Tropicana1 · 25/04/2019 22:32

@cupcakesandglitter aw sorry you had such a shit time today ❤️ sounds like your DH was great xx

McHelenz · 25/04/2019 21:51

Guys, why did no one one warn me about the symptom spotting? Two days...TWO DAYS and I've had EWCM,reflux, sickness, tiredness, cramps and dehydration. I paid for FF as its on offer so thought I couldn't waste the info and now im regretting it. (PS I know all this ridiculous.)

@cupcakesandglitter Hugs to you xx

cupcakesandglitter · 25/04/2019 21:35

*Just realised it should've read walked past not passed

Thanks @Keyboard91 definitely, I'm glad I got it out. Just a shame I guess, I'd love to be in the position where I can buy all of this baby stuff x

Keyboard91 · 25/04/2019 21:22

@cupcakesandglitter sorry it was a difficult experience :( big hugs. Sometimes the stress and strain of TTC just needs to surface, especially after a loss. Much love ❤️

cupcakesandglitter · 25/04/2019 21:09

Just got back from Asda and they've got a massive sale on in George... walk passed the baby aisle, and then went to it and just burst out crying. In December I bought a couple of baby bits in the sale as we'd just found out I was pg. I really wanted to buy stuff but DH just hugged me and we left instead. TTC can be so horrible
