@LindyMoe I'm sorry you're feeling rough. How long have you been trying for? If it's more than a year your doctors should do some tests for you. It is hard when it is taking a long time to not get anxious.

McHelenz · 29/04/2019 08:05

@lindymoe I think you're getting a bit too fixed on it. Do you know what messes with your periods? Stress and anxiety. I think try to tackle that and then you'll be there.

Maybe you need a little bit of time for some self care xxx

LindyMoe · 29/04/2019 08:02

@keyboard91 @McHelenz, I only just signed up to the doctors here a few months ago, so no I don't know anyone.
Any chance folic acids mess up your periods/hormones?

Thanks for being nice again, rereading I am defo having some anxiety

Tropicana1 · 29/04/2019 07:55

Had a really weird and vivid dream last night that I took an FRER and about 6 consecutive lines came up and then a waiter in the cafe I was sat it said you can take them apart before you test and pull out this leaflet (it was live a multi folded tourist map / info leaflet) and pee on that and then fold it back up and put it in the test and it's more accurate. So I did that and then couldn't get all the folds in the right places so couldn't find out if I was pregnant or not.

So then I woke up this morning (9DPO) and took an FRER and it was obviously a BFN 😂🙈

McHelenz · 29/04/2019 07:50

@lindymoe I don't think the docs will see you purely on the period but maybe you should see them about the panic attack?

I've felt like you have and still do. Logic goes completely out of the window. Maybe you just need something to help you think a bit more rationally? We are all super guilty of putting pressure on ourselves when TTC. Just try to be kind to yourself xx

Keyboard91 · 29/04/2019 07:48

@Jessikka I’ve not tried that, I tried rain noises etc which sometimes helps. My thing at the moment is to put the David Attenborough doc from Netflix on and that seems to help! Will YouTube that later and see what it’s all about, thank you.

@cupcakesandglitter I’m taking pregnacare and 5mg folic acid. I’ve got a big hospital appointment in 2 weeks where they are doing a whole host of tests so will ask them if they can just do a general check too.

@MrsPandigital that’s what I tried to put it down to originally. But even over Easter (had 3 weeks off) I was always up and out of bed before 6 am. In term time my alarm is 6:15! And in the holidays I am usually in the 9am bad habit by the end. But maybe that’s just making it worse than usual the last couple of nights?

@MrsEG I can’t take baths :( but I do read in bed some nights, depends on how much of a headache I’ve got recently! But lavender is a good shout, I can get some from the shop - creams and pillow sprays maybe?

I slept maybe 6 hours last night so could of been worse. Got up and drove to school and just willing myself to work lol. But I’m distracted. My vagina has a dull ache going on, and I’m getting AF style cramps. My back hurts low down. Boobs are still sore. My appetite is down and tummy just feels weird (not nauseous but not not nauseous). I’m not due until Weds and NEVER get cramps until at least a few hours after the bleeding starts. I’ve now convinced myself it’s not gonna be a bfp and that AF is gonna show today :(

I also had a really weird dream in the early hours which involved gross constipation (I’m not even gonna describe the events!), and taking a pregnancy test on a bus ... but the bus tests only had a weird test with numbers on it and it said ‘6’ and the FRER box had tampons in ... ive officially lost the freaking plot!

@LindyMoe sorry you’ve had a shitty Sunday :( how are you feeling in yourself this morning? I think a GP appointment is sensible, let them check you over and see what they say. Is there a nice Dr you know well? Sending hugs hunny xx

LindyMoe · 29/04/2019 07:18

Major vent...

Had a full on panic attack yesterday, broke down and for some reason packing my things and leaving my DH seemed sensible. Officially don't know what's wrong with me.
He talked me down but mind is in a seriously unhealthy place. I now think that I'm ill, can never conceive and am broken. Slept terribly last night.

Period never really came, I'm spotting now and was sweating through the night. Does this warrant forcing my doctors to see me? I don't know what to do...

MrsEG · 29/04/2019 06:20

Ov day! Big temp drop this morning, Clue predicted today and also got a static smiley - what are the odds!! DTD Fri, Sat and Sun so will do so again tonight and tomorrow. And then, we wait..... may need to find some new box sets to get me through it!!

Are there many testing this week at all? FX for a lucky week!

cupcakesandglitter · 28/04/2019 22:35

@MrsEG oh that's beautiful 😭❤️ I love Beauty and the best - definitely wanted to be Aurora as a child though 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ x

@MrsH497 oh definitely!! I had to leave, and I could never go back. Was far too difficult for me and I'm too emotional to keep a strong head with this kind of stuff, it's horrible xx

MrsH497 · 28/04/2019 22:19

@MrsEG @cupcakesandglitter you girls just make me smile!!

I'm a total Disney nerd as well we had loads of Disney bits at our wedding too. Yeah it's been a long old week think we were averaging 4 hours kip a night.

@cupcakesandglitter glad you understand where I'm coming from, it's hard in our kind of line of work.

Xx

MrsEG · 28/04/2019 22:06

@Jessikka I count CD1 as the day AF starts even if a low flow, I don’t get any pre-AF spotting though. But yeah, even if AF starts at like 9pm at night I’ll still class that as CD1.

@Fivebyfive2 Oh bless you! The times I’ve had thrush canesten sorted me right out, maybe ask the pharmacist if it’s okay when TTC? If so I’d go for it, cleared me up overnight! Drink plenty of water too.

@ValidUser Hooray for EWCM!! Hope DH is ready to roll!!

@Keyboard91 That sounds so stressful! Will you be breaking up for summer soon? I have struggled with anxiety and it always affects my sleep. The only things that have ever really helped me are baths with lavender (they knock you right out), and reading a book in bed, and keeping my phone well away from me. I sometimes walk the dog really late too as that tires me right out.

@MrsH497 90 hour weeks!! Good god! Have an incredible time at Disney. We went to the California one during our honeymoon, it was just amazing! I’m such a Disney nerd - even walked down the aisle to Beauty and the Beast!!

cupcakesandglitter · 28/04/2019 21:59

Ahh sorry to hear that @McHelenz 😩 I don't know what to recommend but I'm sure someone on here will be able to xx

@MrsH497 are you feeling extra stressed or has it been random? Our bodies know how to piss about when we're TTC 🙄 oh no I can relate. Used to work with child abuse cases and god the awful awful parents I would see that did not deserve to even be able to reproduce - makes me so angry that there are people who are sooo lucky to have children, and then we just can't straightaway 😩 I'm glad you've got a nice holiday though, what a good break- and that would be magical xxx

MrsH497 · 28/04/2019 21:48

@cupcakesandglitter I'm ok wish my cycles would decide what to do I've been so regular for months but last 2/3 been late for no reason. Had a moment the other week where I cried on DH saying we will never get pregnant it's not fair how so many people find it easy.
I don't think my job helps where we see horrifically dysfunctional families and women getting pregnant and being awful mothers.

Oh well Disney and being a kid will be just what we need! Who knows if AF shows we may conceive a Disney baby!! Xx

McHelenz · 28/04/2019 21:41

Girls I've just come back from a 13 hour shift and I've had horrible reflux all day, so much so I've just had to be sick. 😔. I'm trying to be rational that this is just because I've eaten crap the last few days (cough weeks.)

cupcakesandglitter · 28/04/2019 21:31

@MrsH497 I'm good thankyou!! Had a bit of a cry earlier because I had a super painful cramp, but as soon as I stopped crying it had gone. DH doesn't know how to respond to me right now 😂 how're you feeling? Disneyland will be amaaaazing!!! Enjoy every second of it, it'll be a much needed break for you xx

MrsH497 · 28/04/2019 21:26

Hey @cupcakesandglitter how you doing lovely? We are off to Florida - Disney time!! I cannot wait after the last 10 days I need a break.
Xx

cupcakesandglitter · 28/04/2019 21:23

@Jessikka not stupid at all!! I know the feeling - best advice I can give is to note the changes down, so at least if you have another weird month you'll know 'what to expect' x

Jessikka · 28/04/2019 21:20

Thanks @cupcakesandglitter I know it sounded stupid but before this cycle and last my AF has started with two days of light spotting and then waking up with heavy flow. No mistakes! These last two have been so different it confused me slightly as I've never had to think about it 🤷🏼‍♀️

cupcakesandglitter · 28/04/2019 21:07

@MrsH497 ooh that's good!! Where are you off to? Xx

@Jessikka it depends for me how heavy it is I guess. From what you've described I'd mark it as light flow so CD1 is right - anything that's darker than red (ie brown) in that amount I class as my pre-AF spotting x

MrsPandigital · 28/04/2019 20:57

@keyboard91
You poor thing, you've been through a lot on your TTC journey! I'm also a teacher, and not that it'll help, but I often don't sleep well. As well as the demands of the job, my partner works shifts and I have to sleep alone a lot, I often "hear noises" and completely freak myself out and then can't sleep!

Jessikka · 28/04/2019 20:45

Umm can I ask a question that may be so stupid you facepalm? 🙈

Do you class cd1 as the first day you see red flow? or the first day you can fill a tampon/liner etc.

(TMI coming) ...I have a towel on and had produced less than a tspn of flow all day.

I've still marked that as cd1 light flow.

That's correct right? Red flow is cd1?

I'm sorry for the stupidity but before March my flow was heavy. Now they're lighter and it's thrown me off a little. The start of my flow was always incredibly obvious and now.. not so much.

🙄🙈

MrsH497 · 28/04/2019 20:23

Hi ladies!!
Well my shifts are finally back to normal (thank god 80-90 hour set has gone!!) due in a couple of days got cramping right side and I'm not sure if my boobs are a bit heavy/tender.
Don't want the disappointment of a BFN.

Holiday in 7 days though!!!!
Xx

cupcakesandglitter · 28/04/2019 19:18

@Jessikka yeah!! I'm okay with water so zero idea 😂😩

@Keyboard91 sorry you're having such a shit time, and that you aren't sleeping properly. Just out of interest, are you taking any vitamins? I'm wondering whether it may be worth you perhaps getting a blood test done? Regardless of whether it's a BFP (fx) or AF, don't feel like you should accept little amounts of sleep, maybe you're super tired because of hormones or maybe lack of vitamin D or something? I don't know sorry, I'm not a GP but I just hope there's something that can be done xx

@ValidUser sorry I missed your EWCM post, what's your plan for the next few days? Are you SMEPing? Xx

Jessikka · 28/04/2019 19:10

@cupcakesandglitter have you drank enough? I think dehydration can affect the ammonia in the pee I think 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Keyboard91 sorry you're feeling rotten today! I can't function with no sleep so I can't imagine what going through it all the time does! 😫 have you thought of using ASMR? i do quite often as I sleepwalk terribly and it helps relax my brain and stops my brain being over active.

Some people laugh at it but it really helps my brain calm down and I live for it. I do fall asleep now to the sounds of people touching plastic makeup bags so my makeup routine is also really relaxing lol.

Keyboard91 · 28/04/2019 18:26

Not having a good afternoon :( when we first got PG in January in ended up with insomnia. When we MC I assumed I’d get sleep back ... but I didn’t. I get maybe one full night (7hrs) a fortnight. Normally I average about 5 hours in total. It’s exhausting. Add in whatever my body is doing at the moment and I’m literally just a vegetable on the sofa who has to pee every 2 hours today. I teach GCSE and A-Level at a private school which means I’m teaching 6 days a week. And all the exams are happening in the next 7 weeks. So this is always the most exhausting term. Which I normally enjoy because it’s the final run for me and my students. But I’ve got nothing done work wise today which means I’m starting tomorrow already behind and will play catch up all week. And I’m just exhausted. And I’m emotional. Hormones are massively kicking my ass, whether this is a bfp or AF on Weds. Just need some good news, some sleep, or maybe an extra day a week to catch up on some things. Sorry to offload, just having a little wobble. I’ll be okay in a few hours after some comfort food and a nice warm shower.
