As usual, everything has moved on so quickly. I will read through as soon as I get the time... but just want to say a BIG CONGRATS to PinkMartini - Good for you.

mistlethrush · 17/07/2007 15:41

Toomuch - yes, it was one of the things that attracted us to the house - one of the few areas in the City that has decent sized gardens. Now 1/2 is used up for climbing frame and swings, bog garden excavated in teh centre to help to drain the lawn so it can be walked on for at least 9 months a year (instead of about 2 pre draining) and bottom half has apple tree and new raised veg bed. Just need to find some more time to do gardening really.

toomuchtimeonline · 17/07/2007 15:28

MT - I'd love a veg patch but haven't got room - sounds like you're really enjoying it! Maybe one day... [wistful glance]

Poppy - 10 days till AF for you!! -exciting times!! i'm only CD4 so plenty of time yet!

mistlethrush · 17/07/2007 15:11

Poppy - dog has coat too - she's xbreed with short hair, so most of her dries off very easily (one of the requirements that we set ourselves when chosing from NCDL) but she has quite course hair down the middle of her back, almost wiry, that takes ages to dry, so when v wet coat is really great, and she doesn't mind it.

Ds hasn't worked out yet that whilst he can sit down on the grass or wet benches as he has waterproof trousers on, I can't!.

mistlethrush · 17/07/2007 15:08

I've got courgettes coming on quite nicely and teh runner beans are in flower. Not sure what borlotti are doing, and haven't got down as far as the salad stuff I planted as rather wet down that end of the garden. Last chance for tomatoes this year - 2 years of only green ones. (veg in raised bed that I shifted all soil myself for - chuffed that its working!)

Ds's nasturtium that he planted rather early at nursery is flowering and visible from kitchen window.

poppy75 · 17/07/2007 15:06

Hello just a quick posting to say a huge congrats to pink martini!!!!

We just need to sprinkle all the positivness and baby dust around now and who knows.

Is anyone else mid cycle??? Have 10 days until AF

Mistlethrush - me too keeping dry with waterproofs- however the dog takes all day to dry off in this weather

Good luck Fi

toomuchtimeonline · 17/07/2007 14:57

MT - spoken like a true gardener

My plants are all blossoming in this rain (even if I'm not)!!

mistlethrush · 17/07/2007 13:41

Toomuch - well, lights required in office as so gloomy and looks quite windy too. Oh and just started to rain. Again.

Thank heavens for good todler waterproofs and wellies otherwise the dog would never get a walk. (Although dog walker today as in office)

Looking on the positive side, I havn't needed to water my veg for ages - just the beans when I planted them. Mind you, haven't managed to get out to do any more planting either, so rather limited at the moment.

toomuchtimeonline · 17/07/2007 13:23

Fi - with all the bfps coming out it looks like your running worked! Fingers crossed it works for you too

MT - how's you? Whether still rubbish where you are? It's pretty grim here..

mistlethrush · 17/07/2007 12:57

Surely its still Fi needing the woshes after Glastonbury and all that running?

Anyway, it obviously worked Fi - when are you going again!

toomuchtimeonline · 17/07/2007 12:00

toomuchtimeonline · 17/07/2007 09:57

BB - I'll try and catch you but think I have a meeting at 1 ..

Very at you going to the gym already this week.. I still need to sort my gym kit out (how's that for a good excuse!!) I will go soon though otherwise I'm going to be fat and frumpy forever..

BabyBratt · 16/07/2007 23:09

Yes I have a bridal shop, I do love my job but it is very stressful. Brides are a law to themselves.

Im on around one ish but we are talking about wedding planning more than dresses which we dabble in. I don't like my voice so Claire (my business partner) does most of the talking.

Well toomuch I have just done a body attack class that near killed me and then I did a yoga class which was difficult but relaxing.

I love the gym only because it helps me relax. I can be quite highly strung so I need to relax. Im on CD4 to, but AF just coming to an end. It took me 5 months to get into my cycle but now AF only lasts 4 days! which is an improvement. I told DH to prepare himself. Are you feeding your DH brazil nuts, they are full of selenium which helps his swimmers. (not too many though nuts can be fattening)

PM I am so excited for you, don't forget us when you move to pg threads.

Poppy I've been ttc for ages and I still learn things in here, its fab but this place is very addictive.

toomuchtimeonline · 16/07/2007 22:29

Padfoot - sorry I'm being extra thick I thought it was a new ttc word... I'm a dosey moo!

Padfoot · 16/07/2007 22:21

PM congratulations!! really pleased for you. two in one day, now where's treenie got to - we could be on for a hat trick
toomuch Swindon-wards as in towards Swindon (which is more-or-less where I live)

toomuchtimeonline · 16/07/2007 22:00

Mrs r - can't believe I missed you! [Blush]Got everything crossed for you on wed!

As you say hopefully its the first 2 bfps of many!! ready and padfoot - reckon you're front of the queue for the next 2 - and then hopefully we'll all get one and have bouncing babies by 2008!!

toomuchtimeonline · 16/07/2007 21:56

Pm - that's fab news!! Congrats!! Enjoy every min!

Bb - lol at the link between colonics and ttc!! I totally know what you mean about being grateful about things.. That's why I've dusted myself off and I'm being positive! After all it's only 1 month! What time are you on the radio? I might try and get it on the internet.. After babies I love weddings! Do you love your job?

Padfoot - take all of our enthusiasm!! We're here to lift you up as much as we can. .. P.s swindon what?

Poppy - I'll let you know how the bong goes with the preseed

Mm - congrats again!

Ready - how you doing chick?

Treenie - where are you!?!

Fi - hope you've had fun in the park!

Hi everyone else!! Cd 4 tomorrow and since af is already over I may as well get some bong practice in

Bb - I may try and diet with you this month!! Although the gym may be a step too far!! Let's help each other through!

MrsRigby · 16/07/2007 21:54

CONGRATULATIONS pinkmartini so happy for you.

Am I right in thinking that thats 2 of us so far with BFP?

Hope your luck rubs off on the rest of us

Thanks everyone for the good wishes, really hope I hear something positive on Wed, fingers crossed.

PinkMartini · 16/07/2007 20:20

Hello everyone

Poppy this is the best place to learn about TTC and everyone is so helpful and friendly.

padfoot Sorry you've been down, honey. {{hugs}}

Fifi good to hear you're keeping busy!

BabyBratt good luck on the radio - do I recall correctly that it's a wedding dress shop you run?
I would also seriously advise against a colonic - I had one once. It was NOT good. Acupuncture is better IMHO

MrsR good luck with the gynae on Wed.

Toomuch you definitely have loads of enthusiasm and with the pre-seed, you'll be bong bong bong all night long

Ready - welcome back -so good to see you and best of luck with your appt

Bella can't believe you're 10+4 already. Sorry to hear you're sick.

MonthlyMayhem - looks like you've had a great influence on our thread.

I went and bought a clear blue digital and guess what?! I got a BFP

Told DH tonight and he's over the moon - but we're trying to keep our feet on the ground too - there's a long way to go but I realised today I don't know anything about pregnancy. No real symptoms as yet - twingy back/tummy, slightly sore boobs and been very hot and needing to pee a lot (but surely those last two are just summer?!)

Sorry to anyone I missed - hope you're all well.

PS Where is WOODMOUSE?

Padfoot · 16/07/2007 18:30

Thanks for the enthusiasm BB
I searched for treenie earlier, she hadn't posted since Fri - hope it's good news!!

BabyBratt · 16/07/2007 18:25

Hey Padfoot you are welcome to have a share of my enthusiasm if it helps.

I'd never heard of pre-seed.

Someone said I should go for a colonic to detox!!! It makes me smile how many treatments they suggest help you conceive. Don't fancy a colonic really.

BabyBratt · 16/07/2007 18:21

Congrats MM, keep us posted on how the pg goes.

toomuch don't worry, we all drive ourselves mad just wondering. Never underestimate your desire to have a baby and the effects that can have on your mind. Sounds silly I keep my feet on the ground because my friend has pcos and she has only had 2 AF's since she was 16. So I consider myself lucky to have a regular AF even if I have been ttc for ages. I get all excited just getting a +ive OPK. It's sad but you have got to get your kicks somewhere. I love it in here because no one judges and even when you feel silly about having phantom symptoms your not alone or the first.

Has anyone see Treenie on any of the other threads?

I am taking positive steps this month to get my weight in hand and I am trying to cut out sugar - I am a bad chocoholic!! Im off to the gym, can't go too mad but 3 times a week can only do me good.

My insurance should pay out on the shop this week so I may be able to start trading again. Im on Radio Sheffield tomorrow!!!! as a wedding expert!!!!!!

I am determined to stay positive this month
