@MrsVict yes I feel very naive and I think my husband feel even more naive as he always been : "anyone can have babies it is nothing wow about it" and I think having his daughter when he was young and not planned never crossed his mind that it would be an issue for us. I have not tried the temperature check but I might next month if I don't have my BFP this month;) let me know how you getting on !!

I am so happy to be part of this conversation as it does help me to be with people that can understand the frustration, excitement, désappointement ....

MrsVict · 17/04/2019 10:47

@Paddypaws91 I think the thermometer is exciting too. I got some strange looks from DH this morning when I excitedly work up to temp :) I'll let you know how it goes, hopefully it'll end in a BFP!

I completely get the "why did I wait 'til now" frustration. Had I known the minefield of TTC I wouldn't had stayed on the contraceptive implant for over ten years and would have made sure I understood my cycle and ovulating etc a long time ago.

Any else feel really naive coming into this?

Renault5 · 17/04/2019 09:46

@Paddypaws91 don t bit yourself up even if it is hard and I do the same sometimes! What you need to remind yourself is IT WILL HAPPEN ! It is just taking a little longer then expected but it will and you do everything you can for making it happened so no reason for you to not get pregnant ! And it might happen this month actually next week right ? I think your ovulation is same time as me?! . I cannot wait for next week although I got a bit of a sore throat and hope it will clear before the week end ....

Paddypaws91 · 17/04/2019 07:19

My last post was worded weirdly 🙈! When I say planning on being pregnant together, I mean we both knew we wanted children and said how amazing it would be if we were pregnant at the same time...

I was married a year before she got married (nearly married 3 years) and so everyone in our friendship group assumed I would be first to have a baby (and people like to remind me of that) just kicking myself for not trying earlier 😞

@MeganMama28 that's actually a really good idea. At the moment I'm taking them with my dinner because you're supposed to take them on a full stomach and I never eat a lot in the morning, maybe I could put them in the cutlery drawer or something 🤔😂

My best friend gave birth to her baby boy yesterday, we always talked about getting pregnant together, so I'm really ready to be pregnant now!!

I put my vitamins next to the coffee which has helped me to remember to take them in the morning! My sister used to put them next to her car keys so she'd remember to take them before she left the house haha it sounds crazy but it worked x

Paddypaws91 · 16/04/2019 18:32

@Okready mentioning Pregnacare has reminded me to take mine! Don't know why it's so difficult remembering to take one every day, used to take the pill every day no problem at all 😂

OP posts:
Okready · 16/04/2019 17:29

Thanks @Renault5. Am trying Pregnacare for the first time as someone in the last thread was taking it and got a BFP, so obviously that means I will as well Hmm....if only it were that simple.

Renault5 · 16/04/2019 16:41

@Okready welcome! I was gutted too got my af Saturday as well.

But I am really positive this month ! I bought some preseed see if that helps a little !

I am really hopping for a BFP this month for us all ;) let us know how you get on!

Hi all,
Hopping on for May too Smile.
About me:
TTC: #1
Age: 38
Cycle: 5
CD: 4
AF due: 9th May

Was really gutted when AF arrived on Saturday. Had been on what felt like a very lucky thread last month with lots of BFPs, except for me :( It's hard because you are happy for people that get them but also gutted for myself. And like others have said, soooo many people seem to be announcing pregnancy and having babies at the moment. Aarrgghh! Anyway, moving on, it will be us this month.

Good luck to everyone. Looking forward to sharing this crazy journey
X

Paddypaws91 · 16/04/2019 16:18

Welcome @MrsVict

Ooh exciting you have your thermometer arriving today (I find that exciting anyway).

If I'm not successful this cycle, I'm going to start temping on the next cycle. Let us know how you get on ☺️

Morning All,

Hopping on as AF showed up this morning :(

TTC #1
Cycle 2
CD 1
Age 30

I've had my cry and a mope that last month didn't work but now focusing on a positive second cycle. Prepped with my OPKs and BBT thermometer arriving today.

Good luck everyone :)

MeganMama28 · 15/04/2019 22:47

@Paddypaws91 I hope so! 🤞

@Renault5 thank you, will do 😊 very exciting but also surreal to be starting this journey!

Great to have your support ladies, feeling a bit nervous!

Renault5 · 15/04/2019 22:33

@MeganMama28 omg so exciting !!! I hope it is your month for your BFP! Let us know how is it going on the next week...

Paddypaws91 · 15/04/2019 22:08

Welcome @MeganMama28 !

Don't have any more tips I'm afraid, I'm all new to this too, sounds like you're doing everything right ☺️ good luck!

Fingers crossed you're our first BFP on this thread 🤞🏼

MeganMama28 · 15/04/2019 21:22

Hey,
Thanks @Paddypaws91 for starting this thread! Would love to hop on the May bus, like @Morningchorus this is my first bus (as well as my first post!)

TTC: #1
Age: 28
Cycle: 1
CD: 13
AF/BFP due: 1st May

A few more firsts in there too - just about made the May bus! I've been using clearblue and had 4 days of flashing smileys and had my first static smiley today which is pretty exciting! We've been DTD for 5 days straight (I'm currently propped up on a pillow hoping gravity will help hahaa)

I've also been taking folic acid, vitamin D and B12 and using preseed. Any tips would be fantastic as I'm such a newbie! I know it's pretty unlikely it will happen first time but doing everything I can. Hope lots of us will have BFPs in the coming weeks!

Michellebops · 15/04/2019 16:16

Thank you. Hoping for another half done for my holidays next month 🤞

Paddypaws91 · 15/04/2019 16:11

@Michellebops well fingers crossed for you. losing 1.5 stone since new year is a massive achievement! 👏🏼

OP posts:
Michellebops · 15/04/2019 15:46

Thanks @Paddypaws91

I have b12 tablets to take.

My diet is probably the healthiest it's ever been. Lost 1.5 stone on SlimmingWorld since new year.

Just need to cross fingers (and everything else)

Paddypaws91 · 15/04/2019 15:35

Hey @MountAbora don't apologise for ranting, this is a safe space 😌 I have no advice on OPKs I'm afraid, never used them myself. Others may have some words of wisdom though?

Hi @Michellebops good luck with your scan next week 🤞🏼 really sorry about your MMC. Have the docs recommended any suitable vitamins/diet plan for you to boost the B12 deficiency?

OP posts:
Michellebops · 15/04/2019 15:20

Stepping aboard.

Ttc #2
Cycle 5 following a mmc end of last year.
Age 42
CD 10
Predicted ov date 18th April
Af due 3rd May

Really looking for a miracle I think.
Diagnosed with b12 deficiency a few weeks ago and also think I have another cyst on my ovaries.
Scan booked for next week to confirm.

Not getting my hopes up as according to dr google low b12 can cause temporary infertility and if a cyst then will cause the ovary not to work .

Good luck to all ❤️

Paddypaws91 · 15/04/2019 14:03

@McHelenz I really admire your organisation!

My husband didn't know at first either. Eventually, with the sheer amount of parcels turning up, I had no choice to tell him (oops)

MountAbora · 15/04/2019 14:00

Heya everyone, lots of people on this bus, it’s great!
I’m feeling frustrated/ confused today as had EWCM yesterday & today but OPKs are still showing negative. First month of using them so maybe I’m being impatient, but also frustrated as my plans to DTD yesterday got thwarted by DP not feeling great. He’s been having some health issues lately so feeling a mix of guilty at being so pushy & frustrated as I’m not sure when I’m ovulating so worried we will miss it if not DTD often enough.
Sorry for rant but TTC is making me a crazy woman!!
Hope others are getting on better and feeling a little less crazy than me 🤪

McHelenz · 15/04/2019 13:50

My husband doesn't know. 😂😂. Today should be our first day of trying so I've wasted no time.
