Hi everyone 👋

Can't see a May bus, so thought I'd start one up!

A little bit about me...

TTC: #1
Age: 28
Cycle: 5
CD: 5
AF/BFP due: 10th May

This cycle I'm making a real effort to take my pre-conception vitamins EVERY day and going to use Pre-seed this cycle too.

Come on in and share your stories, symptoms and if needed, vent to your heart's content... Grin

Re above, DTD dates are day of the month dates, not CD.
So DTD on 13th, 14th and 16th April (CD 12, 13 & 15)

WaterLillies · 18/04/2019 16:45

Hi everyone

I'd like to join you all of that's ok. I've been lucky enough to fall pregnant twice previously without having to do any active tracking of period start dates, ovulation, timing DTD around ovulation, BBT, checking CM etc, so this is all new to me.

Been reading here a lot about conception and and learnt so much information in just a few days.

Fx for all us lovely ladies. x

Age: 32
Cycle: 1
TTC: #3
CD: 17
Last AF: 02 April
Next AF due: 02 May
Avg cycle length: 30 days
EWCM: Found on 16, 17 & 18 April
DTD: 13, 14 & 16
Avg BBT past 4 days: 36.6C
BBT: 37C
Ovulation: Possibly yesterday (CD16) as temp rise this morning and feeling hot last night during sleep. Also felt sharp twinges on right hand side of abdomen, dizzy, very thirsty, burping a lot as well as lower back ache yesterday afternoon. This morning EWCM (sorry tmi) was very stretchy compared to previous two times I checked.

McHelenz · 18/04/2019 16:14

2nd day flashy face. Off out tonight for OHs Birthday so hoping it might lead somewhere later! My first responses and conceive plus are coming today too!

tisonlymeagain · 18/04/2019 10:52

My ClearBlue OPK came back with a fixed smiley face this morning which was pleasing, though my OPK strip still reads as negative but a lot closer. I'm so pleased anyway, as I was worried it would take longer after the pill for cycles to get a bit more normal and this is bang on where I would have estimated.

May bus
Rubberyduck · 18/04/2019 10:45

Goodluck Peachy I hope its a lucky sign for you Flowers

Rubberyduck · 18/04/2019 10:44

Hi all I am hoping on.

Age 33 yesterday 😵
Ttc 2
Cycle 1
Af due 5th May

Going into the fertile window tomorrow according to ovia but already starting dtd in the hope of 'filling my pockets' 😂
Trying to stay relaxed albeit I am already on the opks. Tests so far are negative but no surprises there.

Goodluck everyone Smile

Peachyx2505 · 18/04/2019 10:25

Hopping on!

TTC #2
Age 32
Cycle 4
CD 1
AF/BFP due 19th May (the date I was admitted to hospital last year which lead to me having an ovary removed in the July 😬.... hopefully it'll be a lucky date this year!)

Had a relaxed approach last cycle, going all out this cycle.... opks and temping! 😂

Looking forward to all the chat xx

Nevergiveup31 · 17/04/2019 22:35

Can I hop on please? waves hand at bus stop lol

Age: 31
Cycle: 2
CD (cycle day): 0 - I’m due AF Monday so will start again in May! That’s if I’m not pregnant this time but I don’t feel it!

My first cycle April- I came off my Evra Patch in March so I feel like my body is settling down and getting a bit of a routine back.
Iv had stomach cramps, spotting for about 5 mins and brown discharge for 1 day (not very much though only when wiping)
I had terrible nausea yesterday and then the spotting occurred.

I’m hoping it may happen now but 2 tests BFN but too early so another test if I’m late for AF!

Let’s keep those fingers crossed girls! X

Sleepyhead11 · 17/04/2019 21:36

@McHelenz Thank you - just saw it like right after posting

Sleepyhead11 · 17/04/2019 21:35

Wow, literally just found this after asking if there is a May bus. Sorry, don't know how I missed it before.

Hello all, just off April bus as AF came 15th. Thinking next AF is due 13th May. I'll be on holiday and wondering whether to take PTs or just try and forget it for a month, as I can be a bit obsessive about this.

I hope you're all doing great and that May brings us luck.

McHelenz · 17/04/2019 21:35

@sleepyhead11

MeganMama28 · 17/04/2019 21:03

Welcome @MrsC89 👋 my OH isn't too fussed about knowing when I'm ovulating either he seems to think it'll just happen I think 🙄 but I just created quite a few scenerios (movie date nights and romantic dinners at home) building up to and on the day of ovulation which made it quite fun and invietable to DTD. This is cycle 1 so we'll see if I can actually keep that momentum up 😂

@MrsVict ah perfect I'll offer to drive to our easter family dinner this Sunday and will be using the phrase "pacing myself" for sure! I'll sneak to the kitchen and make myself some virgin g&ts too 😂 good tips! we're finding it tricky now imagine how hard it'll be to hide for 3 months after we get out BFPs! We'll have to go into hibernation!

MrsC89 · 17/04/2019 20:38

Joining the May bus.

TTC: #1
Age: 30
Cycle: 1
CD: 8
AF/ BFP due: 9th May

Been on pregnacare for 2 months now, at the advice of the GP.
DH has decided he doesn't want to know when I'm ovulating as doesn't want pressure to DTD, so that's slightly annoying...

MrsVict · 17/04/2019 19:05

@Paddypaws91 I wish GP's were more open about it. When I had my implant out I talked to the doctor about TTC and apart from taking folic acid she gave me very little advice about how small the fertile window is etc.

@MeganMama28 I've volunteered as designated driver on Sunday when we are with family so that's covered for me. I had a hen do two weeks ago and the wedding last weekend (where I was a bridesmaid) so those were a little trickier. I used the phrase "pacing myself" a lot, nursed the one glass of wine and one champagne I did have and made sure my DH and I were out of sync with rounds so he could get me a lime and soda rather than the usual G&T so that people didn't notice too much.

MeganMama28 · 17/04/2019 18:24

@Paddypaws91 in a similar boat and my friends little one is now 18mths I'm kicking myself that I didn't come off the pill earlier etc. But once our babies are here we wouldn't have wanted it any other way and they'll be worth the wait 😊 we can also have some of their hand me downs I'm always seeing clothes I ask her to keep in box of bits I want from her!

@MrsVict so glad you said that I feel the same. I'm having to re-educate myself!

How are you all handling the drinking situation especially over Easter weekend? I'm happy to have one maybe but don't want to make family suspicious! Any tips?

Paddypaws91 · 17/04/2019 18:23

@MrsVict yay! Glad it's arrived! I'm considering getting one too.

I feel like I've been completely naive about this whole TTC business.

I don't think it helps that they drill it into you at school that if you do have sex unprotected at any point in your cycle, even that one time, you WILL get pregnant.

Paddypaws91 · 17/04/2019 18:14

Thanks @Renault5 ☺️ I'm due to ovulate on 25th April according to Flo. I've ovulated later that expected the last couple of cycles so just going to be consistent being DTD throughout the month to make sure we're covered 👍

Michellebops · 17/04/2019 14:44

No, I've been using since New Years. Usually get my smiley on cd 12 but the line hasn't got darker.

Looks like I'm going to be ovulating later unless I get the smiley tonight 🤞

tisonlymeagain · 17/04/2019 14:13

@Michellebops is this your first time using them? It is for me, and I have no idea how quickly I should expect things to progress.

Michellebops · 17/04/2019 14:11

@tisonlymeagain my opk are similar. I'm on cd12 and all started opk at cd10 but very faint lines showing.

According to flo I'm due to ov tomorrow.

Had plenty of cm (not checked texture etc) but the opks are telling a different story.

This ttc business is so frustrating

mrssunshinexxx · 17/04/2019 13:54

She 27
TTC #1
May will be cycle 1
Taking folic acid combined with vit d not using temperate or ovulation tests simply using an app to track ovulation from period dates because hubby works away so need to have a bit of a clue
Good luck everyone x

tisonlymeagain · 17/04/2019 13:54

Waiting to ovulate here. CD14, no flashy smiley or otherwise today but a light line showing on my other OPK so I am hoping that this means something is going in the right direction? Not sure when based on this I should actually expect to ovulate?

May bus
MountAbora · 17/04/2019 13:47

@McHelenz go you with your smiley face but I feel your pain as my partner is the same, he seems less inclined to DTD now we ttc due to the pressure.
I’m trying to not mention OPKs etc too much in the hope it will help!
Fingers crossed for you

McHelenz · 17/04/2019 11:45

Got a flashy smiley this morning. OH is feeling a bit pressured for sex so I'm just hoping he will be up for it this weekend. First month of trying is not going well 😭

MrsVict · 17/04/2019 11:39

@Renault5 it feels crazy doesn't it that we spend so long trying to prevent pregnancy that you assume when you want it to happen it just will! Oh well. All we can do is try to be as proactive as possible and control what we can I guess.

Fingers crossed for your BFP this month so you don't need to add temping to the list of things to track every month Grin

I'm so glad to have people to talk to too. We aren't telling people that we are TTC so it's great to have somewhere to ask the silly questions and share the journey with.
