So I’m trying to conceive and have been since November. I sadly miscarried in Feb and had my first cycle last month. I’ve just ovulated or so I think...got a positive result on saturday and have been busy dtd quite a bit. I guess I’m 1dpo maybe 2. Fingers crossed this is our month. How is everyone else getting on?

@19CLT92 also I'm the same, no regular period so no idea WTF is going on. I'm jealous of people with regular and normal cycles, least then you can make sense of what's going on!

RudyRoo · 11/04/2019 21:31

@Claire78564 that's great that you managed to have a scan and that everything look well. That must give you hope and it will be a cast of 'when' rather than 'if'.
@19CLT92 congratulations on your wedding. You're still young so you have time on your side! I got married last year too and felt I put all the baby stuff on hold for that. But I am 33! My only regret is that I had come off the pill a year earlier and just used condoms. Had no idea it would take this long for my cycles to become regular again! I really do think the doctors should make people more aware of this when they are handing out the pills! 🙄

These are my temps so far - not sure what to think! I'm going to persevere and see what happens...

I know what you Mean @19CLT92 it is a shitty feeling when others seem to have it so easy. Congrats on the wedding :) I say go with the flow! As for your cycles, there’s lots of things doctors can do to sort them out and help regulate stuff. I know someone who has PCOS (not that you have it just using as an example) and her cycles were all over the place yet she managed to get them under control with medications and certain dietary requirements. I have to admit it’s nice to have people to talk to. Doesn’t feel the same talking to people who don’t seem to have probs. I mean granted I know in the grand scheme of things it’s only been 6 month for me and only 4 cycles I could try against due to two being taken up by other things... it still feels shit when you want it so badly. We will get there! Keep me updated on how you get on at the docs! X

I think I'll try it next month we eont be trying after June for 10 months as we have booked to get married but due to circumstances I didn't want to put having a baby off for a second longer it just became so important and I didn't care about the wedding but we said if we don't conceive by June we have to put it on hold and try right after the wedding. I have to say I'm disappointed but what will be will be! I'll give it a good go noe till June and well see good luck to everyone else too I'll be checking in it's so nice to have people to talk to in the same situations, even if it is a shitty situation x

Sorry that was in reply to rudyoo

19CLT92 · 11/04/2019 20:05

Sorry I didn't see this yeah I'm going to test tomorrow just in case though I'm certain its just broke lol according to my app which never works. Ik 22 dpo though I'm certain I didn't ovulate as no temp rise, also I've still had no period but I'm not consistent. I have had periods light and have lasting from 2-7 days every month last 6 months before that I missed a month it's all very complicated lol. I just have to keep going keep bonking and fingers crossed lol xx

Claire78564 · 11/04/2019 19:48

Hey thanks , you too :) sorry I meant smep. Basically from cd 8 you have sex ever other day then when you get a positive opk you do it that day and then 2 more days, have a break then one more time. That’s what we have done this month. It was tough going! You have age on your side and I’m sure a lot of other things keep your head up. I don’t temp but I think I will next month ( I’m not feeling optimistic about this time round) I sometimes use preseed as I’m paranoid I’m not ‘wet enough’ down there lol

Also can you tell me what your temps look Like over ovulation? Do you temp every day? I am having to temp.everyday now as I think.im missing my ovulation and I think my ovulation prediction on my apps wrong due to my period being a sketchy so I'm trying that now I dont see temp rise. Does it have to be over 36.40 or how many degrees does it rise? Should it rise so many degrees based on your normal temp its ability absolute minefield.

19CLT92 · 11/04/2019 19:39

Oh good luck @clair78564 I'm 26, yeah im trying not to stress. Also ehats swep method?

Claire78564 · 11/04/2019 19:20

Ahhh sorry misread the ‘cd’ but yeah we’ll cycle day ten is a good one to start on. Since my miscarriage this will have been the second time I have ovulated. First one was pushed out a week or so and I was sceptical because of what had Happened. But a couple of says prior to ovulating I had a scan and it showed which follicles were likely to produce the egg. It was on the right side which is funny because I kept feeling aches in that area. I’m sure your period will come back soon...or it might not because you have caught! I found the opks pretty useful. Easier said than done but try not to spend your time obsessing about these tests. I got completely lost in them testing twice a day and it can really stress you out. Saying that tho you could see progression through the tests and see them getting stronger. Let me know how you get on. Even though I feel pretty pessimistic like I’m never gonna get that baby soon, the objective part of me thinks we were all born with the parts to house a baby and we will do it! I’m sure this will be our year :) it still shocks me that a sperm can actually fertilise the egg. I never really get much EWCM which makes me think I won’t conceive but I’m sure time will tell. Just can’t imagine it all. Boobs still not sore but I’m just taking it as painful boobs previously was just a sign of progesterone.

Sorry sent the same kinda message twice - wifi is being rubbish!

RudyRoo · 11/04/2019 19:11

At least I hope O happens. I'm a bit skeptical because of my crappy-practically-non-existent periods. First month doing proper OPK's as well as temp checking so we'll see what happens! 🤞🏼

RudyRoo · 11/04/2019 19:09

@Claire78564 oh no unfortunately just cycle day 10 so still waiting for O to come. Have started doing OPK's again this month but nothing so far. How are you feeling? Still no sore boobs?

@19CLT92 yeah I agree with Claire, lots of people still conceive with PCOS so don't let that get you down. (And you may not even have it!)

Claire78564 · 11/04/2019 19:04

Hola, yeah I think I’m 3/4 dpo. Nothing new here. Ooh 10dpo I have my fingers crossed for you 😊 they say to wait until missed period but it’s tempting not to! Hi @19CLT92, I use these sticks too. Based on what I can see I would say the green one your opk kit, is a negative. I’ve been using these for a few months. The picture I have uploaded is how the opk looked on the cycle I caught and at the weekend just gone. As Rudyroo suggested, maybe do a preg year just to see what happens there. Even if you do have PCOS there are lots of things which can be done to help you conceive. How old are you? Even though I hate it when people say this to me, they say a year is normal when TTC so you have time. Maybe do the smep method just to cover any random ovulation that the opk didn’t pick up.

How many DPO are you?

RudyRoo · 11/04/2019 18:48

I am no expert but I would say that could be a BFP but I don't want to get your hopes up. People say if it has colour in it instead of grey then it's a positive - hard to tell from the pic. I would go and but a digital one so you are not driving yourself mad! Good luck x

19CLT92 · 11/04/2019 18:43

The blue is pregnancy the green is opk, I'm overweight but constantly exercising and losing weight every week and irregular periods, I have a thick head of hair and I'm not hairy though but who knows? I want to get tested to rule it out, I mean I know it can be due to my weight which I'm working on but I don't know well see. It's just the tests are so weird it's happened before too. Once, it always makes me look twice x

RudyRoo · 11/04/2019 18:14

Are these pics OPK or preg tests?

RudyRoo · 11/04/2019 18:13

@19CLT92 hello! 👋🏼 I'm sorry I'm no help as I have only been using the digital ones. I know they are expensive but less stressful as more of a definite answer. I have been finding some cheaper ones on eBay you could always try that as a way of getting more definite answers. Any reason why you think you might have PCOS apart from the irregular AF? How long have you been off the pill or other BC?

19CLT92 · 11/04/2019 18:10

Hi I just seen this thread, and thought i would join for some help, we have been TTC for 8 months but I'm all over the place with my periods, im getting tested for pcos soon and my temps are inconsistent so I'm not sure I'm even ovulating. I have had this before but can anyone tell me why this has happened twice now I just took an ovulation and pregnancy test just to see as I'm all over the place and this happens. They are not like anyone ive seen like not really faint or a evqpulation line but less than half the thickness of the test strip, is this ink running because they are cheap? Please help! Xx

@Beddie11 can't say much to help as I've only just started it (been doing it for a week) but I think it's a good idea as a lot of people say it's the only way really to confirm ovulation (I'm going alongside OPK's) it's not so bad and actually feels quite good to be more in control of things rather than just guesswork!

Beddie11 · 11/04/2019 18:00

Nothing new here still just waiting lol.. i think when i do finally get AF im gonna start temping. Seems easier and cheaper than opks! Any thoughts on this ?xx

RudyRoo · 11/04/2019 16:54

Oh you already said yesterday 3DPO!
