So I’m trying to conceive and have been since November. I sadly miscarried in Feb and had my first cycle last month. I’ve just ovulated or so I think...got a positive result on saturday and have been busy dtd quite a bit. I guess I’m 1dpo maybe 2. Fingers crossed this is our month. How is everyone else getting on?

@Claire78564 I actually can't believe it! 15DPO today and I really wasn't feeling any symptoms. Slightly more cm than usual and some dull cramping but that was it. I'm so happy! 😊 xx

They are ridiculous. Like only 2 days of spotting and only need pants liners. Asked about this on another thread and for some people doesn't seem to be an issue with getting BFP's so I'm hoping that is the case for me! I'll have everything crossed for you this month, you are doing all the right things! x

Claire78564 · 01/05/2019 11:49

Yeah it sounds like it’s just taken a bit of time for your body to regulate but it’s great you are ovulating :) fingers crossed for you and the BFP turns up! How light are you periods? I’ve been drinking pomegranate juice. Also heard that vitamin e is good xx

@Claire78564 that's good! Are you going to use OPK's this month too?
I'm not really sure to be honest, I think I may have been ovulating other months too but just wanted to get it doubled checked due to the light periods. I was also things about ways to thicken/improve lining and think I am going to stock up on pomegranate juice! Someone also mentioned to me vitamin B and iron supplements so might be worth looking into...anything to make this happen! I'm feeling quite positive after docs today with there not being any problems he could see. I'm on CD30 now and don't really have any symptoms but if no AF in a couple of days then I think I will do a test (if I'm brave enough - feel so depressed after seeing BFN!)
I think the psychological aspect of your due date may be a little OTT, so I think you're definitely right to take that with a pinch of salt! x

Claire78564 · 01/05/2019 10:03

Hiya, I’m cd12 should ovulate (I hope) around day 17. Really happy for you :) it’s a good sign! So is this the first time you have ovulated in a while since using contraception? I went to the doctors yesterday and had s brief discussion about fertility...she said psychologically some women don’t fall pregnant after a miscarriage until the due date passes! I really hope that’s not me plus I don’t see any grounding in what she said So taking it with a pinch of salt. Been thinking I should try looking at ways to improve my uterine lining just incase...but hey there goes the old brain thinkin too much again! How are you feeling? How many days past ov Are you?

Xx

@Claire78564 how are you getting on? What CD are you on now?
I had my CD21 results back today and progesterone levels were 40 so really happy to hear I am ovulating okay!

Claire78564 · 29/04/2019 10:18

Aw :( it’s annoying because it takes so long for the next opportunity compared to men who are ready straight away! Try not to be too down it could still be too early and I this isn’t your month then maybe May will be xx

OP posts:
RudyRoo · 29/04/2019 09:40

I'm 11dpo now and did a test this morning (so much for waiting!) but BFN. Even though I know it's too early I still can't help but be disappointed. I don't think it's my month and can't help but feel really disappointed already 😔

RudyRoo · 26/04/2019 08:41

You're right. Head does go into overdrive at this time doesn't it?! My only silver lining on not being successful this time is that I can have all the wine when we go to Italy in May. Clutching onto that as being a tiny perk if I am hugely disappointed again! xx

Claire78564 · 25/04/2019 20:25

You can do itttttttt! Just remember at this point nothing would make you feel pregnant not until at least 10dpo! Xx

OP posts:
RudyRoo · 25/04/2019 11:36

Yeah I feel the same way. Just feel like it would be too good to be true in a way! I'm feeling okay and like I said just a little bit crampy, not like major AF pains though. Argh this is hard! I've told myself I have to wait until 14dpo to do a test but it's going to take some serious willpower!

Claire78564 · 25/04/2019 10:45

Hiya, fingers crossed for you. I’ve just finished my period back to trying. Hope you catch this month. I’m trying not to symptom spot and keep calm. Harder done than said but hopefully we will get there I’m starting to panic I may never catch again or it will result in the same way as last time... how are you feeling? Xx

How are you ladies doing? Anything new happening? I'm 7dpo now and getting quite apprehensive about the next week. Confused no major symptoms but some twinges and more cm than usual, I'm hoping this might mean something but think I may be clutching at straws!

Claire78564 · 22/04/2019 09:31

Well it’s not like spotting just lighter... we shall see what the day brings. Yeah remember you only get symptoms once implantation occurs anything before that is the effects of progesterone. Go enjoy the sun :)

OP posts:
RudyRoo · 22/04/2019 09:26

@Claire78564 I am 4DPO now. Also remember some people don't get any symptoms and don't even know they are pregnant until much later on so we shouldnt get disheartened if we don't get any (I'm saying this now like I'm totally cool calm and collected 😂)
That's interesting your AF is lighter. Is it more like spotting?
Going to take the day off today and enjoy the sunshine, hope you are doing something nice!

Claire78564 · 22/04/2019 09:22

Haha yeah that’s what mine said. Sooooo annoying! This period seems a lot lighter than usual...I dunno gonna just try to enjoy the sun I guess. How many dpo do you think you are? Xx

@Claire78564 I'm so sorry 😔 just keep reminding yourself that it is deemed normal for it to take up to a year, I have to remind myself of that a lot! It's hard when other people seem to fall so easily but for some of us it's just that simple. I think less symptom spotting is a good idea. I've decided to give up on the temps as I think it was just added more stress so I think for us trying not to overthink is the best. I know it's so hard though! I also know what you mean about the sex thing. I keep forcing 'quickies' when I have 5 mins spare before work and my DH said the other day he's looking forward to us having normal, unforced sex again 😬 xx

Claire78564 · 21/04/2019 19:20

Afternoon ladies. Unfortunately she did :/ another month of trying just don’t get it we did everything right! Problem is it makes sex seem more of a task. I’m going to try laying off symptom spotting this next one and hope I catch. This will be the 7th month since trying to conceive and third cycle since miscarriage. Cba sad about it all. A friend is visiting and she’s pregnant proper awkward because she’s due when I was... try not to panic so much about the BBT all sorts can affect it. If you got the smiling face on the OPK then it’s a good sign you will have ovulated. Xx

@MrsPandigital definitely not too old! I am 33 almost 34. You have plenty of time 😊

MrsPandigital · 21/04/2019 18:52

@RudyRoo I am 28! Turning 29 later this year. I don't know if that's old or not for a first child?!

RudyRoo · 21/04/2019 17:36

Hi @MrsPandigital welcome to the thread! How exciting for you. I hope this thread doesn't put you off 😂 How old are you?

RudyRoo · 21/04/2019 17:33

@Claire78564 how are you? Did AF turn up full force?

MrsPandigital · 20/04/2019 17:38

Hello everyone. This is my first ever post on mumsnet!!! I was hoping you would welcome me into your thread and I can join you in your lovely supportive messages?! Smile

My partner and I have decided to start trying for our first baby. I am currently due to ovulate today so have DTD a few times in the past week or so. This is our first month of trying to conceive. Grin

RudyRoo · 20/04/2019 17:17

@Claire78564 I know exactly how you feel. It's just an awful heart-sinking feeling isn't it. Are you sure it's AF, are these usual symptoms for you, would you usually get spotting first? I'm so sorry, and all I can say is don't give up and you are not alone in feeling like this. 😔
I'm getting stressed out now as my temps are low, (they are supposed to rise after O) not sure if I have ovulated but could be other factors of drinking wine over the weekend, not taking it in the right time frame etc. Not sure this BBT is for me and I think it's actually causing me to freak out more! Why is this whole TTC thing so difficult and stressful?! I have my bloods being taking on Tuesday morning so I'm hoping it can be confirmed either way once I get the results back. Feeling pretty low just now too. x

Claire78564 · 20/04/2019 13:33

Bad news :( today had a hit of cramping and a bit of spotting as in the start of AF :( feel like giving up. Wish I could be one of those people who it just happens for without all this. Or better yet no mc in January x
