Hello!
I know there are a few threads on this already but can’t find any recent ones.
There’s a theory that your resting heart rate goes up before you can get a bfp so a sudden spike/increase could be indicative of an upcoming bfp.
I’ve been tracking mine for months and have noticed that both times I was pregnant (both unsuccessful) this was true re heart rate.

For reference, it seems that a lot of people have a dip before ovulation followed by a spike around ovulation then it drops a bit and starts to climb a little, dropping again when af arrives. If it keeps climbing, it’s usually a good sign.

I think I’m out this month as mine is dropping steadily but I’ve had a weird cycle and am
Not sure I ovulated because I got multiple
Positive opks spread out over two weeks and didn’t see a heart rate spike as usual. I apparently ovulated around 23-27 (big window due to confusing tests) and AF is due in 4 days so I would normally see my heart rate climbing at this point - who knows what’s going on!

Anyone else symptom spotting and got a Fitbit so can share their heart rate chart?

It’s fascinating isn’t it @bloodylegoeverywhere
I think mine will probably drop a bit now as 68 is really high for me, then stay higher than usual until af comes
Impatient to see what happens over the next few days

@mrsh497 let us know if you notice any patterns!

Find this really interesting. I've just got a new strap for my Fitbit so will keep an eye!

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 28/04/2019 20:17

Mine dropped by one today instead of rising or staying the same. I'm sure it will drop again. I've had odd months where it has hardly risen when I've suppose to ovulate. Theres always been some sort of drop when af comes.
I always find my rhr interesting. Smile

Aberforthsgoat · 28/04/2019 20:17

looking promising @tisonlymeagain hopefully it will stay up

Typically my Fitbit has readjusted and I’ve now dropped a beat to 67. Not sure how much difference one beat makes, will have to see what happens the rest of the week. @catrash mine seems to come up with a resting heart rate in the morning but, like today, sometimes readjusts towards the end of the day I guess once it’s had more readings to compare

Here's mine. AF was beginning of April, OV was around 19th. AF due end of this week.

Hopefully yours will stay up and keep rising. Fingers crossed!

My FitBit seems to calculate my resting HR first thing in the morning and then it doesn't change at all during the day - is your the same?

I didn't think of alcohol and caffeine affecting it at all so it'll be interesting to look out for that.

Aberforthsgoat · 28/04/2019 14:43

@catrash when I’m ill my heart rate shoots up but then other factors affect it too including exercise (gradually decreases it), alcohol and caffeine (send it up) etc so it’s really interesting
You’ll have to keep an eye on it!
Mine is still up at 68 today, I expected it to fall and yesterday to be a fluke so we shall see

Bookmarking this thread as I find FitBit resting heart rate really interesting and I'm interested in seeing others charts. My heart rate is at an all time high at the moment - it's only been this high when I was pregnant (with pre-eclampsia so high BP), had a stomach bug, tonsillitis or HFM disease!!! I have had mild tonsillitis (no pus) this week though so suspect it's that. We're not TTC ATM (but will start in the summer) but there is a chance still as had unprotected sex this month.Think I ovulated around 15/16th but wasn't actually tracking.

(Also my heart rate seems much higher than everyone else Confused)

This was really true for me. My resting heart rate continued always goes up after ovulation and when I got my BFP it went quite high up and continued to climb from 71 to 92 (Hmm) in the first few months of the pregnancy. It then gradually went down to the normal level!

Aberforthsgoat · 28/04/2019 00:29

Ohh looks promising especially if it stays up/keeps climbing

i think it usually dips just before ovulation, spikes for ovulation, then generally climbs gradually til af then will drop when af arrives. Mine doesn't usually spike this high after ovulation though, although I think maybe it would be a bit early to have symptoms - I'm only 4dpo [at a rough estimate]

Interesting. I think I OVed around 19th, that day and the next mine was 61, ever since it's been 63, today it's 65. Will monitor more closely next cycle.

Aberforthsgoat · 27/04/2019 15:15

Very interesting! This time I’ve had a spike after ovulation - it dropped immediately after by a beat but has now shot up from 64/65 to 68... will be interesting to see if it continues to climb or drops down again

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 26/04/2019 13:12

I have a hill before my m, the hill was when ovulated. Have had this M pattern before and then a dip. But this spike is new considering I'm due in 3 days. Will add photo later Smile

Interesting Julian! Hope your pregnancy going well x

stormtrooperjulian · 10/04/2019 10:26

I’ll add mine from a normal cycle and my BFP cycle in case they’re of interest to anyone..... I’ve marked ovulation in blue then AF/BFP

I’m 16 weeks now and my rhr is around 6bpm higher than my average rhr over a full cycle used to be.

Hi, this is interesting! Here's mine, seems to make sense. I ovulated on 21st/22nd. Got my period on the 5th. Going to keep an eye out for dip pre ovulation this month.
