My DD's are 8 and 12, there will be quite a gap. But I am living abroad for a few years so thought that opportunity would be nice. I am unable to work here and we always wanted a bigger family so it was an ideal decision to make.

My life here is lovely and all the warm sunshine is making me feel great. I might be a little lost in the feel good factor since moving away from my own country and all that rain and depressive work/cleaning cycle I had entered. Here I feel that I have so much more, I enjoy my routines, even the cleaning.

I suppose that is why I am ClaireHappyGal

Can I praise you LoveAngel for holding out, and simultaneously confess my 8dpo testing . I know... Think I need to staple rather than sit on my hands...

wonkoswife · 13/07/2007 12:48

I am glad that I'm not alone. I was actually being sick every morning for about a week and it must just have been my subconcious convincing me that I was pg because I wanted to be. I have also just come off the pill and had a 46 day cycle. Got AF 3 days ago and the only thing for it is to BD as often as possible I suppose. I am ttc DC 5 and can't believe that I am getting so uptight about it.

LoveAngel · 13/07/2007 11:56

AF due today but not here yet. Feeling all the classic symptoms of getting my period, but still holding out a little bit of hope (this is only my first month of ttc no.2, so don't even know why I am so desperate already..?). Won't test until Monday if AF still hasn't come, but got a feeling it will be here by tomorrow. hate the way my mind plays tricks on me and convinces me I'm pregnant when I know I'm not!

I know - I was bad enough on Fridays at work before I found MM - now I rarely get anything done before lunch..

Rantmum · 13/07/2007 11:22

tmto - appreciating your name too - it certainly applies to me as well!

toomuchtimeonline · 13/07/2007 11:22

Ooo - a big brother - that will be fun for any new baby!!

Rantmum · 13/07/2007 11:21

ds is 2.5, so would like to get pg soon so that the gap is not too big that they can't ever play together.

toomuchtimeonline · 13/07/2007 11:19

Rantmum - sorry cross posted - Hope your signs are good for you - I feel something "going on" down there too - just hoping it is not my AF arriving..

How old is your DS?

Rantmum · 13/07/2007 11:19

I know that it is stupid and risky, but I can't help myself!

EllieG · 13/07/2007 11:18

Same here rantmum! Have almost convinced self am PG

toomuchtimeonline · 13/07/2007 11:18

HolidaysQueen - thanks - my name is a true reflection of me as I really should do more work and less posting . Sounds like the pill should be well and truly out of your system by now so fingers crossed for a BFP for you soon

MonthlyM - sounds like we're going through similar things atm - hope you're not in for a 50 day slog this month too

meandmy and ellieg - you have such restraint! I'm CD26 with a cycle length of god-only-knows and I'm gagging to test..

ClaireHG - It's so hard waiting isn't it.. How old are your DDs?

Rantmum - love your name

Rantmum · 13/07/2007 11:17

I have convinced myself that I must pg - feel the odd twinge in my abdomen and think "something is going on!", also I am sure that I am peeing more often and I am having the odd wave of nausea and feeling tired. Of course, I could just be wound up and desperate to see signs where there aren't any, and tired from running after ds. Still, if AF comes I will be really disappointed!

Rantmum · 13/07/2007 11:12

Me too - AF due on 21st too. Fingers crossed!

ClaireHappyGal · 13/07/2007 10:56

Hi to every1. I thought I might as well join this thread.

I am currently on CD16 of 31. Really hopeful this month been trying for past four months and tried to everything right. Now have to wait 'till 28th to test, if I can wait that long. Not tested so far as AF always arrives the day before I decide I am going to test.

I never had a problem with 2dd's both were conceived on first attempt. Think that this time I am overly concerned, thus putting on stress.

DH getting upset too when I tell him AF arrived.

I think I ovulated a couple of days ago, (you know when you know), but yesterday, I had the most terrible of pains really low down. Today, it is not too bad, but still there. I will need to keep an eye on it though.

Keep posting

EllieG · 13/07/2007 10:52

Same here! Am NOT testing til Mon if AF still not here then

meandmy · 13/07/2007 10:18

hi ladies im on cd28 and my cycle norm 28-30 days havent tested yet even though got stash of clearblue in the cupboard, dont feel pg have had crampy stomache, if af not her by midweek i will test i suppose

monthlymayhem · 12/07/2007 19:49

Toomuchtimeonline

Same here - first month ttc after being on pill for 13 years! It took 50 days to get my first period after stopping pill, and now on cd33. Was hoping I would get back to a 'normal' cycle straight away - but on CD33 and still no sign of AF - I couldn't help but test on Monday just in case but BFN Can't help hoping now that I am pg and just tested too early..

Then again at least if my af arrives I'll know a bit better what my cycle might be..I'm just hoping 50 days is a first month blip.

All this not knowing is really driving me insane, and it's only the first month!

HolidaysQueen · 12/07/2007 16:48

Hi toomuchtimeonline (love your name - wish I'd thought of it first!)
I came off the pill a year ago so have been using diaphragm since then. Before I went on the pill they were once every 3 weeks and/or no period for 3 months (was diagnosed with PCOS) so I wanted to give myself plenty of time off the pill to see if they became more regular. For the last 3 months I've actually remembered to write down my period start date and they amazingly have been regular every 30 days (v. happy about that!) so have fair confidence in Tues being the day it is due.
EllieG - my plan is to try and forget tomorrow morning until after I've been to loo and then I'm away over weekend so won't take tests with me. So at least that should get me through to Monday without testing

toomuchtimeonline · 12/07/2007 16:00

HolidayQueen - we're in the same boat! It's my first month off the pill and have just bought the first response tests which are apparently 4 days before AF - unfortunately not really sure when AF is due since I've just come off the pill.. how did you work yours out?

EllieG · 12/07/2007 15:56

Hold off as long as you can holidayqueen! 'Tis the way madness lies....

HolidaysQueen · 12/07/2007 15:28

Hello everyone - so glad to find you as I'm new to all this and thought I was a bit odd for having thought about nothing but testing all day!

First month of trying for me and AF due on Tues, so this is my first ever month of wondering if I'm pregnant and actually wanting to be (as opposed to the occasional slips where you are really hoping you're not!). I just bought some of those tests that you can do up to 4 days before and wondering if I can stop myself testing tomorrow morning even though I know it's likely to be negative. My problem is I don't like not knowing things so really want to know as soon as possible!!!!

Good luck everyone!

wonkoswife · 12/07/2007 11:21

I tested with clear blue when I still had 2 days until AF was due. Then I convinced myself they were BFN because I tested too early. I tested again the day after AF was due and still got BFN. I really don't know why I bothered because I'd only just come off the pill and wasn't sure of cycle length anyway. Now I have AF and will be BDing for the next 3 weeks and then will probably test too early again!!! I feel better knowing that I am not alone though. Good luck and baby dust to everyone.
