@InDreamland thanks for asking after me. I'm in a fab mood it seems i am actually going to ovulate after all on cd10 just like before the last mmc. So my cycle is the same as before.
How are you?

Frillyfarmer · 25/03/2019 21:00

@ale2992 fingers crossed for you
@Lilimum6 YEY! Definite peak there, fingers all crossed for you too xx

Frillyfarmer · 25/03/2019 20:58

@Mum637k I'm CD2 in my first AF since my MC in Jan. it was natural but I had retained products and didn't get my BFN until first week in March - total drag.

This period snuck up on me, I had no cramping or symptoms and was stupidly starting to wonder/hope I was preggers. It's quite heavy today but not feeling like my usual cycle, no clotting and no cramps. Because it's "different" I'm wondering whether it will affect my usual ovulation pains and whether I should invest in some snazzy CB OPKs for this cycle.

@moonpeace thank you - we all need a bit of fighting talk I think. I've always been one to keep my thoughts in my head but after years of shit it wears thin and I'm such an edgy person now I'll put anyone straight. It's a really tough journey as it is, in your own head. As soon as someone comments on something I have a full day of bitter comments swirling around my head.

Sometimes I read this thread and all the sadness and the loss and the feelings and I wonder how the fuck we are still doing it. It's like a motion and a numbness and I have so much admiration for each and every single one of you. Our journeys are all so different and so lonely and I'm so glad I've got you all to turn to, even though I wish no single one of us was in this shitty shitty place. Xxx

Lilimum6 · 25/03/2019 20:51

Well after spending the last week panicking that I was broken it seems that I might not be.
Top one was yesterday evening and bottom two are today's about 2 hours ago.

Bit of a surprise wish me luck ladies keep your fingers crossed 🤞 for that bfp in two weeks time.

Had some quite intense pains around my right ovary this eve plus back ache and being exhausted. Doesn't feel like usual af pains and back ache, trying not to feel hopeful though

Hi ladies, I was wondering if anyone experienced changes in their period after a mc , whether they had d&c or a natural one? I had a d&c few months back and my periods have changed in length and heaviness, each cycle the symptoms seem to change. My cycles used to be 28 days with first day of period starting out light and turning to medium/heavy within 12-24 hours and cramping first day. Since d&c my second period was light and had 4 days of cramping leading up to it. Flow was only medium heaviness and cycle was 32 days. 3rd period since d&c cycle was 28 days,no cramps leading up to bleeding, but flow really heavy with a few clots(sorry for tmi). Anyone else experience changes in AF after mc?

Hi everyone,

Joining the new thread.

29 years old
Ttc #1
2 MMCs (November 2018 and March 2019) + 2 chemical pregnancies

Deciding whether to try again now or wait. I'm going to the US for a work conference in July and dh is going to join me to travel the US for a week or so afterwards. I'm feeling really nervous about getting pregnant in case I miscarry whilst out there and it totally ruins our trip. But also very conscious that time is ticking by and the longer we wait the harder it's going to be...

Dipping in and out of the thread atm as I'm not thinking about ttc atm, but wishing you all baby dust and sticky beans Thanks

Frillyfarmer · 25/03/2019 19:08

Bold fail, sorry!

Frillyfarmer · 25/03/2019 19:07

@Mistymeow That's so tough. Especially when you're in WhatsApp groups with lots of girls the same stage of life as you as it feels like a constant competition/failing in the pregnancy game. I've muted so many people on my social media this year I will have no mates left soon.

@MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue @InDreamland people are just cunts. Since we got married the general shit that I've had repeatedly has been "when are you having a baby" "bloody hell youre carrying big, is it twins" and now it's "you want to crack on with the next one" "don't leave it too long". I'm going to start elbowing them in the ribs at funerals and suggesting it's "their turn next" like the old fuckers have done to me every time there has been a church wedding/christening etc.

I'm quite dry now with my responses - I always tell people about my miscarriage, it's their awkward social flaws not mine. I don't think I would feel half as frustrated and impatient if it weren't for everyone needing to have an opinion on what I'm doing in my life.

@InDreamland I'm sorry you have been through so many losses xx

MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue · 25/03/2019 18:20

Sorry @Russkispy that sounded totally insensitive reading it back! I meant in terms of you comparing to last time! 🤦🏼‍♀️

InDreamland · 25/03/2019 18:02

@Frillyfarmer @MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue I totally get you! Recently all I've had people say is I need to get over it and move on and focus on other things ......umm I've lost 2 babies in the last 9 months, the last was only 4 months ago! F'ing heartbroken doesn't come close! I do not have any healthy living children after almost 6 years trying, my only babies are angels in heaven. So it absolutely kills me when people say insensitive stuff like that, it just makes me feel even more useless, inadequate and worthless than I already did because I can't just snap out of it like people expect me to. No I can't just flick a switch and be okay and back to my old self again. It's not like I'm not trying to cope. I hate being like this.

@Russkispy that's great news!

So AF decided to show this afternoon so that's all I f'ing well need. Feel like just shutting out the world.

Russkispy · 25/03/2019 17:39

@MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue think I'm just over 4 weeks. I'll go back fo the same test on Wednesday and yes, those will be more important 🤞🏻🤞🏻

MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue · 25/03/2019 17:25

Hi all 👋

@Frillyfarmer that is totally insensitive! You did well to survive the weekend, if anyone did that to me right now I would probably leave! Like others have said, people who have never experienced miscarriage or pregnancy loss really don't understand. My sister came over on Saturday and kept telling me that I "should just be happy" for a couple we know. They've just had their first child, exactly when I would have had the baby I lost last summer. I haven't had the balls to see them yet as (harsh as it sounds) that baby and their situation as new parents, is just a trigger for me - we would have been pregnant together, we would have had babies literally weeks apart, my baby would be the same age now... After MC/ectopic etc, other people's happiness is just a reminder of my loss. Its not only the bereavement but all the feelings of inadequacy and fear that come from our bodies "not doing what they are meant to." And yes, when you already have a child or kids, there's the element of "you should be happy you've got one"!! It's so painful on so many levels but people don't seem to understand!

Great news about your treatment @moonpeace. Crossing all for you that you soon get a BFP to put it into practise!

Hoping for a miracle for you @InDreamland! xxx

@Russkispy how many weeks are you? My understanding is it's not so much the levels but the doubling you need to look for.

Russkispy · 25/03/2019 16:58

Ladies, just got my HCG results. It's 781! I have to repeat beta in Wednesday. I'm absolutely gobsmacked! With my DD I only had 100! I don't even know what to think! Wow!

Mistymeow · 25/03/2019 15:18

@frillyfarmer I totally get where you’re coming from. One of the girls on my group WhatsApp has had a baby and all the other girls (who all have children, never experienced a loss or infertility) are going on about what a special time this is and you only get this chance once. I’m pleased for her but I find the continual coo-ing draining and insensitive. They don’t mean to be hurtful but I don’t think a lot of women realise that miscarriage is a bereavement. It’s like once the physical side is over then it’s forgotten about. But it’s always there and we have to find a way of living with it. I hope you feel better soon. Ive snoozed all the baby bores on Facebook, that was satisfying!

Frillyfarmer · 25/03/2019 13:53

Thanks @InDreamland @ale2992 when I've reflected on the weekend today, I feel as though she almost rubbed my nose in it. I wonder whether my friends just think I'm such a strong resilient person that I'm not completely heartbroken with how this year is going for me. I think she also thinks that because I've already got a healthy little boy, it's somehow not so upsetting for me.

Anyway, AF arrived last night, so I need to draw my line and start again. Today I'm just utterly fucking miserable we're a third of the way through the year already and I'm not knocked up.

God this is such a lonely journey sometimes. Penguin hugs to everyone xxx

InDreamland · 25/03/2019 08:22

@Frillyfarmer that is very insensitive. Very tactless. Sounds like she's never experienced a loss otherwise she'd have been more restrained and sensitive.

@moonpeace that is good that they've found a possible cause which may be treated.

AF due today or possibly tomorrow. Getting crampy though so think it's not meant to be this month either ........still stupidly hoping for a miracle though.

ale2992 · 24/03/2019 22:08

@Frillyfarmer that is so insensitive, sorry that happened

Hi ladies!

TTC#2, DC1 is 18months.
Ectopic April 2018, early MC in Jan 2019 which dragged on.

We went away this weekend with friends, I needed a break and was looking forwards to it. The couple we went with announced they've just found out they're pregnant. She knew about my MC, and she spent all weekend talking about her shiny new BFP. I just feel so angry that I'm jealous of friends good news. And also that she was so insensitive.

MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue · 24/03/2019 20:21

Hi all, sorry I haven't been following properly.

Age 36
TTC #2 since May 2018
DD is now 2.4 months
MMC in July last year at 10 weeks. Baby measured 6 weeks
Ectopic in Feb. Removed an 8 week fetus with heartbeat and my left tube on 20th Feb

It's been nearly five weeks since the ectopic now and I have had no period. Everything I read says six weeks. Where the fuck is AF? Starting to freak out...

@Russkispy massive congrats! Crossing all for you!

Nirupa · 24/03/2019 20:07

Hi ladies,
I’m 38(in a week’s time)
TTC (trying to conceive) since October 18
First MC (miscarriage) 2 weeks ago, so I’m just waiting for AF so I can get on the TTC (trying to conceive) train.
In the meantime trying to get my TSH level under 2.5 and hoping for that BFP (big fat positive) soon

@Laney79 thanks for setting up the new thread

ale2992 · 24/03/2019 16:56

4DPO here, felt exhausted today and needed to nap this aft. Hoping that's a good sign 🤞🏻🤞🏻

InDreamland · 24/03/2019 14:42
