AF is lighter this month. So fed up. Still waiting for DHs DNA fragmentation results - they still didn't have them yesterday.

InDreamland · 27/03/2019 08:32

@Mum637k my AFs are different since mc#1. No consistency in how they are though.

@Lilimum6 great you're back in the game! Fx for you! I'm not great TBH. AF came Monday and just reminds me of the two babies I lost last year as well as this was my last chance for a 2019 baby. People saying insensitive stuff to me isn't helping.

@MistyMeow thank you.

@Nirupa as much as I try to ignore insensitive comments it really hurts. I agree with @Frillyfarmer so once you get a BFN you can start TTC again.

Frillyfarmer · 27/03/2019 08:26

So, my first period since MC is a real anticlimax- I was told to expect a very heavy flow but so far I've had two light days and absolutely nothing this morning. Does it mean anything?

ale2992 · 27/03/2019 08:03

Back ache and cramping seem to have gone so far this morning. However feeling exhausted, bloated and slightly sick today.
Definitely symptom spotting but what else can I do during TWW?!

Hi, thank you so much for your reply. I'd love to see how you get on at Coventry too. I will be going in my June cycle and just praying something will work, I've heard so many good things as I'm sure you have. Have you had any tests done through the NHS at all? Only think I've had checked is my thyroid which was normal. Have only been trying for 5 months but wanted to go privately rather than waste more time carrying on and miscarrying if there is an issue. The doctor referred to be as "quite young" (32) during my second miscarriage which made me feel a bit nervous and not wanting to waste any time. I'm so sorry for your losses too. Praying all of us on here will succeed xxx

strawberrye · 26/03/2019 19:26

@Lsmummy1 hi and welcome. So sorry to hear of your losses. Just thought I'd pop in to say I'm in a similar position - 3 chemical pregnancies albeit over 12 months, TTC#1 for 18 months now so I definitely don't fall as easily as you. Currently waiting for an appointment at Tommy's Coventry, yet to receive the date.

Lsmummy1 · 26/03/2019 18:55

Hi ladies. Hope you don't mind me joining. I'm looking for some support following 3 chemical pregnancies/early miscarriages in the last 5 months. We are lucky to have a beautiful 2 year old daughter. Completely blindsided by this as she was conceived so easily. We do get pregnant every time we try but can't seem to hold on to any this time. I am waiting until I an 2 months post MC(miscarriage)and then will be going to Coventry ri see professor Quenby. I'm also waiting for a referral to get all the routine bloods done on the NHS.
Just looking to receive and offer support really and any experiences people have from Coventry would be so greatly appreciated.
Lots of love to all of you💖

Nirupa · 26/03/2019 18:04

@frillyfarmer, thanks. I will wait for that BFN and hope it comes soon
I was afraid that without knowing the date I couldn’t see if (when I did get the BFP) the baby was growing ok.. but I’ll wait another week and take another test.

@catconfusion I totally understand.. there’s one dr st my GP service that really listens to my issues and the rest just fob me off so I try as much as possible to make appointments with him.

Private is expensive. Hoping you get all the tests you need to get you the tests you need..
I know I do sound like a hippy ( I’m not really) but I think we all need to just stay positive.

Has anyone read the secret? In summary, anything you want, you need to really visualise. In as much detail as you can.. and then believe it will happen.

I know it sounds like a load of BS.. but in desperate times, I’m going to give it a go.. what do I have to lose, right?

I’ve been wanting a baby for the last ten years and I always feared what if something went wrong and I lost it because of my age.. And I did.. so now I’m just going to think pleasant thoughts.. I will get that BFP soon, I will have An amazing 40 weeks and my baby will be delivered healthy!try and just think positive thoughts all and maybe the universe will listen!

I do sound crazy.. but I’m not.. really 😊

Catconfusion · 26/03/2019 16:59

I will see the nice doctor @Nirupa Unfortunately we can't afford private so are a little bit at the mercy of NHS. Don't get me wrong, we've had some good experiences so far but the inconsistencies are frustrating.

The IBS worries me a bit as some research suggests it can lead to an increased chance of miscarriage. My aim is to try and relax as much as possible. I'm also looking at diet. I'm reading Mind Body Baby at the moment and have found it really helpful for relaxation and mindfulness exercises specifically for ttc. I would definitely recommend. Hope you can ttc soon! Xx

ale2992 · 26/03/2019 16:29

Having quite bad cramping and back pain all day today so not feeling very hopeful right now.

Frillyfarmer · 26/03/2019 15:23

@Nirupa you don't need a period after a MC to conceive - the doctors tell you to have one because it makes it easier to date. But you need to have a BFN, mine took a whole six weeks, but mostly due to retained products. The waiting is just shit, take care of yourself x

Nirupa · 26/03/2019 14:04

@dreamland @frillyfarmer
It is very frustrating when people just expect you to just pretend it’s all ok and get over it.
My BFF is also pregnant and everyone I get sad about the loss she says it is what is is and you have to move forward ..
Of course we have to move forward, for our own sanities.. and even though I allow myself to smile and be happy again, every now and again I think about the baby I could not protect, that I never got to hold in my arms.. I will be happy again .. but I will never forget and I guess my heart will always ache when I think about that loss..
Sometimes people are just insensitive.

@mum637k my cycle seems to have changed too... in just confused to be honest.. I have been spotting /bleeding all of March.. it stopped for a few days .. I thought my MC was over and then I though AF arrived Friday .. but that lasted a whole day and a half.. was super heavy and now it’s gone I’m not sure if that was my AF
I still don’t know. Took a preg test and that’s still positive.. never have I been so sad to see a BFN..

I’m guessing that means I can’t TTC until I receive a BFN first?

@dimblebimble I think you should take it as an opportunity to have a break.. I am believing 100 % that my next BFP is going to go full term.. I’m not even going to let any negative thoughts take away from the joy from the whole experience and I really believe positive thinking will bring about positive results..
Definitely take out additional med insurance as a safety net, but also keep positive.. im sure you and all us ladies will get to what nature designed us for!

@lilimum6.. goodluck got that BFP.. baby dust to you xx

@frilly farmer I was so gutted to hear that you AF took 2 months to appear after MC., that means I have to wait potentially that long to TTC? Or is it just the conception date that is dependant on AF?

How can something do naturally be so stressful 🙁

@catconfusion, glad it was just IBS and nothing more serious.

I would just push the dr some more and nag until he gives you that appointment. All else fails, try and see if you can go private.

I’m ok thanks... just counting the days I can start TTC Again.

It’s my birthday next week and I really thought I would be announcing the new arrival to our families after our 12 week scan.. so it’s just going to be a reminder that I’m getting older and I’m still no closer to having a family of my own

Oh how cruel life sometimes is

Catconfusion · 26/03/2019 09:32

@Nirupa so I got diagnosed with IBS. I checked out thyroid results and mine was 1.5 so well within normal. I'm having vitamin d tests to check not deficient. The doctor I saw yesterday is not willing to do any more tests until we've been trying for another three months. It makes me mad as the doc last week said we could both have a full fertility screen due to miscarriages and our age. I've got an appointment with the other doc next week so I'll push for it. Just want to minimise the risk of another loss.

How are you feeling? Xx

Catconfusion · 26/03/2019 09:27

@Laney79 I think you asked after me. Sorry for the delay. My cramping continued. Just been diagnosed with stress related IBS so need to look at diet but glad not gynae pains. How are you? Xx

Catconfusion · 26/03/2019 09:25

Hello and thanks for new thread @Laney79

DH and I both 39 but 40 in a few months

We got pregnant straight away on our honeymoon in Dec but ended in MMC at 10 weeks, baby 6 weeks and ERPC at 12 weeks. I got pregnant again straight away but ended in CP last week.

I had polycystic ovaries when younger so wasn't expecting to fall pregnant so easily. On mc scan my ovaries showed as normal so relieved I've recovered somewhat though still have irregular cycles and wonder if there's still an underlying issue causing miscarriage. Don't get me wrong, very grateful we've fallen so easily but it's been so traumatic to lose two pregnancies. Just hoping this isn't a pattern that continues.

Samk79 · 26/03/2019 08:40

Hi ladies, here is my intro
Age -39
Ttc no 3 since aug 18
Mmc at 11 weeks

I've only just had surgical management of my loss so still unsure about when we will start ttc again x

Bluebelltulip · 26/03/2019 08:07

Glad to see some positive news lillimum6 and good luck to Russkisby

I've had the follow up appointment through about DD's death and also to discuss the care plan for any future pregnancies. I was waiting for it to come but is daunting me a little too.

Russkispy · 26/03/2019 07:41

@fnej01 thank you! I've been taking it since last October/November. 75mg a day. Pills of 25mg 3 times a day. Never had any side effects. These were recommended to me by my fertility doc.

fnej01 · 25/03/2019 22:30

Congrats @Lilimum6 on being back in the game!

@Russkispy great HCG scores. So pleased all is finally on track for you.

A quick question I am thinking of trying DHEA. I've got about 2 months before we get back TTC. Has anyone tried it? Did you get any weird side effects? What dose? I am already taking pregnavare, vit d spray, feroglobin and ubiquinol, so am starting to rattle 😂

Russkispy · 25/03/2019 22:21

@Mistymeow only one. Yes, hoping for double figures on Wednesday's test 🙏🏻🤞🏻

Mistymeow · 25/03/2019 22:14

@lilimum6 great sign and fingers crossed!
@russkispy hope the numbers double. Did you have one or two embryos put back in?
@indreamland sorry af snuck up on you. It’s all so unfair. I’m so over it, but will keep going. I still have faith (and for you as well!)
@frillyfarmer exactly. It teaches people that perhaps they should have thought first before making assumptions. They deserve to feel awkward!
@Mum637k I had an ERPC last April and my cycles changed. They were all over the place (ranged from 24 days to 35, and one 14 day anovulatory cycle). Also very light and short. I saw my gp and he wasn’t concerned because all my bloods were normal, and I wasn’t in a lot of pain. I did fall pregnant naturally and even though it ended in miscarriage again it wasn’t related to my light/wacky cycles. It’s one of those things they don’t fully explain to you that your cycles can be off for months afterwards.
@dimblebimble that’s a great idea. In fact me and DH are probably doing to same. We need a break. We will continue to ttc but will make sure our insurance covers me. Mentally it’s what we need, and it sounds like you need it too. Pop back online when you can :)

Frillyfarmer · 25/03/2019 21:51

@Lilimum6 - so you should! Any double darks on any pissy sticks are the stuff of dreams - get giddy and BD 💃🏻 dust dust dust xx

Lilimum6 · 25/03/2019 21:04

@Frillyfarmer thanks hun. God its stupid but I feel like a giddy school girl x
