Hi lovely ladies!
Sorry I have been out of the loop for the last month I just needed some time to focus on losing weight and getting fitter! Update on me, We were due to have our follow up fertility appointment last Thursday but after waiting around for an hour it was cancelled the Dr was sick! So it's rearranged for 5th June.

However AF was due on Saturday and she still hasn't appeared so yesterday evening I tested with FR kit and got a very faint BFP! So decided to test this morning and I've got another very faint BFP! This is yesterday's test I ran out of time to take a photo from this morning but it's very similar. I'm so confused as I thought if I am pregnant the concerntrated urine this morning would mean I would have a stronger result and confirm. HELP lovely ladies have any of you had such a faint line which developed?

Also hugs to all and hello to the newbies I'm sorry for your losses xx

TTC after pregnancy loss - Thread 30 - huddle up and bring on the BFP's

KnitKitty · 13/05/2019 07:51

Hi @hayleyfx lovely to hear from you and congratulations on the BPF! I think it sounds like good timing. At least you have your diagnosis, so you are a little more prepared. Take Yukka's advise and start the aspirin ASAP, and then see what the consultant says. Really hope this one is a successful pregnancy! Smile
I've only recently come back to the thread too. I had a 7-month break while going through RMC investigations. Turns out I have prolactinaemia which I started meds for last week. Just started trying again this cycle too. The Endocrinologist who prescribed the meds said it can affect implantation and is worth treating, but the gynae I saw didn't seem to think it had any affect at all on MC, so a bit of confusion there. Hopefully it will work though!

Hi @coconutlatte44 so sorry you're feeling low. The recovery after MC is very up and down. Some days you'll do great, the next day you might just be a heap on the floor in tears. Just ride the waves of emotion. You'll feel better again in a day or two. xxx

So guys, I think I'm getting side-effects from my meds. Started burping a lot two days ago and have woken up bloated and a bit nauseated. These are known side-effects to the meds, so I'm sure that's what it is. But as I'm in TWW my mind is getting all hopeful that it could be a sign of other things... Just trying to talk myself down at the moment. I've never had nausea as a first sign of pregnancy; but have had increased burping as one. But I think I'm only 4 DPO... But since I don't track, I could be anything between 4 - 10 DPO. Last cycle I had a randomly short cycle, and if I'm going by that I could be about 6 or 7 DPO. So really not sure and trying not to get my hopes up!!

We must be about ready for a new thread?

Yukka · 13/05/2019 07:05

@hayleyfx you can get the aspirin from a supermarket or boots, marked at 75mg so maybe try and get some today rather than wait for appointments etc. It will start to thin your blood pretty quickly and keep the flow to your bean hopefully clot free. I only say this as I lost two at 5 weeks and really felt the clock was ticking straight away. Good luck xx

Oh and I was the same... diagnosis on a Thursday, bfp on the Monday, but the gp and consultant jumped into action when I told them xx

AliceRR · 12/05/2019 22:32

@hayleyfx You deserve it too. I remember the time when you left the Feb 19 thread and I know that was a really difficult time for you

@Lilimum7 Hope you’re ok and you can get some answers

@InDreamland Sorry you haven’t got your BFP yet. Life is so unfair sometimes. I feel crap but wine gums and Netflix helps! 😬🤷🏻‍♀️ xx

hayleyfx · 12/05/2019 22:06

Thanks everyone! So lovely to hear from you all again.

@AliceRR oh my goodness I’m so so sorry, that is just heartbreaking. My heart goes out to you. How awful. You truly deserve your rainbow, sending you the best of luck for TTC again 💕

@Mistymeow I’m so sorry you’ve had another loss, it’s just so cruel. I hope you’re doing okay. Thank you lovely, phoning hospital tomorrow morn so fingers crossed! 😬 the diagnosis was very scary, really upset me but relieved to have answers and a treatment plan - finally! X

@Lilimum7 I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this once again 😞 definitely keep pushing and pushing for testing, you deserve answers and you deserve your rainbow. Sending love xx

@Yukka wow 7 months - congratulations!! Glad all is going well for you. Nice to have someone to talk to who has this condition too (although I wish we didn’t!) that goes for @fnej01 also! Really scared, I was only diagnosed 1-2 weeks ago and now this! I’ll phone hospital tomorrow and ask them what to do, really worried now that I don’t even have aspirin yet so I’m very on edge right now! The thought of injecting myself is scaring me so much but will be worth it if it works. Thanks for the advice ladies. I’m sure I’ll have loads more questions to come! 🤣

Squiff70 · 12/05/2019 21:54

@Lilimum7 I'm so sorry you're going through this Flowers

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 12/05/2019 21:49

@Frillyfarmer Oh I think that's right. Sorry you're here too (I'll be honest, I dipped in and out)

Thanks everyone. Hoping next time is the one that works for everyone

Congrats @hayleyfx 🎉

InDreamland · 12/05/2019 18:32

@Lilimum7 I'm so sorry it's another loss. You really are having a terrible time. Sending you lots of hugs. I hope you're being looked after.

@hayleyfx congratulations on the BFP. Fx for a healthy sticky bean.

Did another IC this morning and still stark white. AF due on Wednesday. 6 months since last last MC and really wanted this to be the cycle we had a BFP as it was this cycle last year we got BFP for first pregnancy. Life sucks. I still can't comprehend why people who are so dreadful and horrible get everything they want and yet those who work hard and try to be a decent human being get to deal with this shit. Life is so unfair.

Yukka · 12/05/2019 17:52

@fnej01 and @hayleyfx I had read at the time that they don’t start heparin until after a 6w scan... but that wasn’t the case for me and I was on it daily from 5wks. My gp contacted my consultant directly - though I Had contacted consultants office too. They sent me clinic to be weighed and agreed dosage from there, I collected it from hospital pharmacy and then gp had nurse show me what to do. It’s actually very straight forward but I have some tips to reduce the Stinging and bruising. Fingers crossed for you Hun and keep us posted xx

coconutlatte44 · 12/05/2019 17:42

Hi all,
Sorry to jump in in the middle of a conversation, I think I popped in a few weeks ago but am just coming to the end of my first full cycle actually ttc after mmc in March. I have been doing really well the last few weeks and even when I tested (twice) & got bfn each time I thought I was coping fine. But now that AF cramps have started up and I'm realising it truly hasn't worked out I feel all sorts of emotional and it's caught me off guard! I guess maybe I secretly thought it would magically work out right away and now the reality is hitting me in the face...

fnej01 · 12/05/2019 16:20

Hi @hayleyfx congrats on the BFP. As @Mistymeow I have also been diagnosed with APS and am planning to start trying next cycle. @Yukka is doing well with her pregnancy, and has been a great support to me explaining stuff. I would definitely take yourself an aspirin today if you can, and get hold of your consultant for other meds tomorrow. I think Yukka didn't start heparin straight away, but was on the aspirin.
It's quite a difficult diagnosis to get your head around isn't it. I have been diagnosed with APS and high NK cells but it is the APS that I've had most difficulty processing.
Definitely get hold of your doctor in the morning for the meds.
Good luck x

Bluebelltulip · 12/05/2019 16:20

Hope you have a positive appointment on Tuesday @Lilimum7, sorry it's now definitely a MC x

Yukka · 12/05/2019 16:16

@hayleyfx congrats... I have aps currently 7 months pregnant. Start that aspirin today... and phone go tomo to get heparin started. Feel free to pm in you want to chat xxx

Lilimum7 · 12/05/2019 16:13

Well Ladies I'm afraid to say it's definitely a miscarriage. Bleeding started today, heavy flow, blood clots the works. So definitely over. To be honest it's a bit painful too. I made it to 4+3 but it wasn't ment to be.

I've got rmc on Tuesday, I really don't know what I will say if they try to tell me 7 miscarriages is bad luck, they might need to employ a new specialist if they try that one.
Nice to hear from you @hayleyfx congratulations on the bfp

Mistymeow · 12/05/2019 16:06

@hayleyfx so lovely to hear from you. I’ve been wondering how you’ve been doing. We have had a couple of bfps on this thread and a few who have had further losses (myself included sadly). But a lot of hope! I remember you sharing your story about Charlie, I hope you are doing ok. The diagnosis must have come as a shock but at the same time it must also be a relief to know that there is something they can do. I believe @yukka and @fnej01 have both been diagnosed with APS so hopefully they can help with your questions. Congrats on the bfp- I’m sure the hospital will be able to get you on the treatment sooner. Hope the other ladies can provide more reassurance.

AliceRR · 12/05/2019 15:33

@hayleyfx I’m ok thanks. My baby girl’s heart stopped beating the day before she was due and she was born sleeping on 13 Feb. This was my first cycle TTC again and it’s tough. Sounds like you’ve had a tough time so I hope this bfp is it for you. Hopefully someone with more knowledge can answer your questions xx

hayleyfx · 12/05/2019 15:06

@AliceRR yep that was me! My baby boy was due February 2019. I remember you from that group too. Thank you for the well wishes 💕 how are you doing?

AliceRR · 12/05/2019 15:03

Hi @hayleyfx congrats on your bfp - I hope it all works out for you

I think I remember you from the Feb 2019 antenatal group? Sorry if I’ve mixed you up with someone else and I’m just going mad

hayleyfx · 12/05/2019 14:57

Hi ladies - it’s been soooo long!! Don’t think I’ve been on this thread since December last year 😱
Sorry for taking so much time away but really needed it for my own sanity and honestly, it did me the world of good. Been wondering how you’ve all been doing, how are you all? Any pregnancies? 🤞
As for me, I was recently diagnosed with APS or as I call it “sticky blood syndrome” a blood clotting disorder. My next appointment is in two weeks to arrange my medication (baby aspirin and heparin injections) however... yesterday I got a bfp! (We weren’t trying but we had a couple oops moments but didn’t think I would fall pregnant!?) Basically I’m freaking out now as I’m not on my medication. Phoning the hospital first thing in the morn. Without medication, I apparently have a 20% chance of a healthy pregnancy. So feeling kind of desperate right now. I guess, if I lose this pregnancy before I start my medication then at least it will be early on 😥 but trying to stay positive.

I can’t remember - does anyone else here have APS? I was gutted to find out I had it but at the same time it gave me answers as to why I’ve lost 5 babies. & another question, do you girls think it’s too late for me to start taking aspirin now? Like, could the damage already be done? (I don’t know how it all works! Sorry)

Also want to say sorry for coming here and asking loads of questions once again haha. Will be so lovely to hear how you’re all doing though, really hoping there’s been some good news for you all in the past few months. Let me know how you’re all doing!! 💕

Oh and I just realised today that it’s almost exactly a year ago (it was May 22nd) that I found out I was pregnant with my baby boy Charlie!! Crazy how things turn out. I hope this time it’s meant to be and this baby will be okay. Not feeling hopeful in the slightest but trying to keep a little faith that maybe, after 2 years of TTC and miscarrying again and again, that with this medication this one could finally be it. We’ll see... 🤞

fnej01 · 11/05/2019 22:02

@Pop1234 it's actually quite hard to find. On the web page (rather than the app) click on the icon the arrow points at in the photo below. Hope that helps

TTC after pregnancy loss - Thread 29 - huddle up and bring on the BFP's!
ikphillips · 11/05/2019 21:13

@Pop1234 I found out at my 12 week scan that my baby had no heartbeat and had died at 10+5. I haven't had any other miscarriages, fortunately, and have an 18 month old DD. I think in my case it sounds like just very bad 'luck' if you can call it that.
They took tissue at the ERPC in late March and then contacted me to let me know that they had results about 2 weeks ago, offering me an apt to discuss in July! Angry as we are TTC at the moment I wanted to know if I was all clear to do that, hence hassling them for an earlier apt x

Pop1234 · 11/05/2019 19:39

@fnej01 thank you I really appreciate it. How do I send a DM on here? 🤦🏼‍♀️
