Jinxed myself, no pounding on my hubby, he's not feeling well so no DTD, looks like we'll be missing the April bus Sad

AlwaysOptimistic2 · 11/04/2019 20:00

@SquigglyOne thanks, you're definitely right

@Queenofmyownheart sounds the same as me on the last cycle. Enjoy the wine and have maybe find a good tv show to binge on and take your mind off it? Easier said than done...

Queenofmyownheart · 11/04/2019 19:43

I'm 15dpo which puts me at a day late and still BFN. I've pretty much given up, I've been horribly ill all week and this feels like the last straw. Drowning my sorrows in a large glass of white.

SquigglyOne · 11/04/2019 19:35

@AlwaysOptimistic2 even if you are pregnant the test will probably be negative, what’s the point of giving yourself the heartache of a bfn unnecessarily xx

Rubberyduck · 11/04/2019 19:34

Ooo fingers crossed for you ladies. Hold on a few more days!

What apps are you all using? Which 'flo' app? I use ovia but may explore others

AlwaysOptimistic2 · 11/04/2019 19:31

@Eliza9919 Thanks!! You're right. Just feel sooo exhausted the last two days like I was last time I was pregnant. My boobs are swollen and I felt really spacey this afternoon. I'll wait...

Eliza9919 · 11/04/2019 19:09

@AlwaysOptimistic2 Don't do it, it's too early.

AlwaysOptimistic2 · 11/04/2019 18:46

Hi ladies, thinking about testing tomorrow at 7DPO. I'd have to drive tonight to buy tests...talk me down! Hmm

Penny78 · 11/04/2019 18:35

Lol thank u 😂

ELJ1502 · 11/04/2019 17:05

@Danimarie Tell me about it, I'm a teacher so plan everything to the nth degree. I'm okay, trying to keep busy instead of analysing every twinge.

@Dlah My Flo app did the same. It said I had been in my fertile period and then I got a positive OPK a day later. I then ran out of tests, so I'm not actually 100% sure when I did. I'm just using the one day as an approximate.

@SqigglyOne thank you 🙂

Hi @Penny78 welcome to a feed of supportive symptom spotters 😂

Penny78 · 11/04/2019 14:18

Hi ladies.
My names penny I am 40 years old. Ttc and we are on second month of trying. I had a sterilisation reversal in January as my partner has no children and we would love one together 💕my kids are now 24 22 21 18. I am due on today 😳 hoping it doesn't come but feel like it's gonna. I did a test this morning anyway as couldn't wait and it's neg 😩 x

SquigglyOne · 11/04/2019 13:30

That’s a good sign @ELJ1502
The day I got my bfp at 9dpo I noticed the tiniest bit of blood - unfortunately that pregnancy ended in an early miscarriage.
Fingers crossed for you!! 🤞

Dlah · 11/04/2019 12:26

@ELJ1502 @Danimarie

Here here! We just got married and as this will be No 2, I said I wouldn't be how I was conceiving her but here I am trawling the threads each day, testing on OPK - just got a high fertility smiley this morning so going to jump on hubby later Grin

It's just frustrating as soon as you set your mind to wanting to get pregnant, you want it there and then but I know it won't happen overnight, we were extremely lucky DD 1 only took 5 months. I'm now nearly 32 and overweight I know our chances are lower and it's likely to take longer. Sadly I'm an emotional eater so as much as I want to kick myself up the bum to be healthier for a little one, the stress of it is making me eat rubbish!

I've been going by Flo but as OPK has now shown I appear to not even enter my fertile window until a day after they'd been telling me I'd ovulated

Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

Danimarie · 11/04/2019 11:16

@ELJ1502 I am exactly the same! I said I would just "see what happens" but I like to plan and I am also a self confessed control freak. Ha! I doubt my job as a PA helps! We have only been casually trying since January so very early days but I got really stressed as a work colleague announced her pregnancy recently and it only took one cycle (also happened to two other friends!) so I was slightly panicking for a while. How lovely your best friend had a little girl - my best friend had a little girl in December too, so cute! You are so right - it is only natural to feel impatient with something so big! How are you feeling today?

ELJ1502 · 11/04/2019 11:01

@Eliza9919 I completely understand. I'm trying to do the same.

@Danimarie Our original plan was to just see how it goes rather than actually trying, but my control freak side does not allow that sort of action. We started pretty relaxed, now after only the 4th cycle, I'm obsessed haha. I know it'll happen when it does, but I think it's a natural thing to be impatient with something so big. It doesn't help hearing all the pregnancy announcements around you and my best friend had a little girl in September who makes me extra broody!

Danimarie · 11/04/2019 10:33

Sorry I meant BFP this month!

Danimarie · 11/04/2019 10:33

@Rubberyduck Sorry to hear that! I have just tried to remain positive and keep being healthy. I am definitely limited the amount of alcohol I drink since TTC and I have heard t is best to cut back on caffeine too.

@ELJ1502 @Eliza9919 Good luck! Hope you get your BFP this morning. I usually calmer before my fertile week, start getting obsessed during the fertile week and then I go crazy with symptom spotting during the TWW. Last month I thought I had implantation bleeding but turns out I was wrong which was disappointing. I am going to try and remain calm this month but it easier said than done isn't it?

Eliza9919 · 11/04/2019 10:13

I know. There is still hope, but I'm not getting my hopes up if you see what I mean.

ELJ1502 · 11/04/2019 09:56

@Eliza9919 just remember you're not out until the devil lady shows. I know how hard it is to stay positive, but put those thoughts down to hormones and keep your chin up. We're all in the same boat otherwise we wouldn't turn to talking to strangers.

MandaAish · 11/04/2019 09:39

Please stay positive! You’ve definitely tested too early, try again early next week! Fingers crossed, you are definitely not out the race for this month!

Eliza9919 · 11/04/2019 09:23

I'm just resigned to no luck again this month, today.

I know I should be positive and I'm only 7dpo but I just feel like its not happened.

ELJ1502 · 11/04/2019 09:14

@Eliza9919 thank you. How are you today?

Eliza9919 · 11/04/2019 09:01

fingers crossed for you @ELJ502!

ELJ1502 · 11/04/2019 08:47

Around 7-9 DPO and I saw a tiny bit of blood this morning. Fingers crossed for implantation blood. 🤞I impatiently took a cheap early response yesterday and got a BFN but I'm hoping that's just because I was too early.

@SqigglyOne and @MandaAish get BD ing! Good luck!

MandaAish · 11/04/2019 08:25

So I got a positive OPK this morning, didn’t expect it so soon but yesterday my CM was egg white so I guess I’m just a bit early!

How is everyone else getting along? Smile
