@Welshpugmomma can your DH stop taking hot baths and reduce coffee intake? Hot baths can have a huge impact. I made my DH stop. After a while he researched on his own that they're bad when ttc. It's a good thing that you still have options though and hopefully your move goes well.

cupcakesandglitter · 25/03/2019 21:53

@PinkFizz19 fingers crossed it doesn't turn up for you, that'd be such a lovely birthday present!!! I'm okay, no AF yet for me either but she could come any time in the next two weeks, no idea. I've had a few twinges and my nipples are definitely quite red (they look sore according to DH) but they feel fine. Otherwise generally happy and chilled 😂 ready either way 🤷🏻‍♀️ how're you feeling otherwise? Xx

@PeacockingAbout don't worry about it if you are, it's about what's best for you not the company 😊 fx for you too! Xx

@Welshpugmomma sorry I don't know what that is. I've heard of IVF and ICSI(sp?)- I'm glad your scan went okay, pretty cool they knew you'd ov'd, sorry to hear about DH but I'm glad you have options too xxx

Welshpugmomma · 25/03/2019 21:09

Thanks @crossfitgirl and @starkid, so we went to the appt, alot to take on. we got DH sperm test back and it was very low, we both were kind of expecting it to be his spermies as he's a) chef b) arthritis medication 10+ years c) a ridiculous love of hot baths and high coffee intake haha... I had a scan which looked good and the doc could even tell if OV'd a couple of days from the left(amazing!) DH disappointed of course but its reassuring that we now know what options we have and basically said we would need ICSA, similar to IVF, at least we know the score now and if we do go ahead with the move (USA) money isn't much of a problem. If it all falls flat that's where the real dilemma lies as we'll be back to square one saving for a house and now the cost of this.. . Not sure if ICSA available on NHS?... Please forgive me for the ridiculously long post!...

P. S fingers crossed all these symptoms are postives waiting to happen ladies :)

Lola871 · 25/03/2019 20:18

@PeacockingAbout that's weird! I didn't get any in the end so will probably do another IC tomorrow, I certainly don't feel like I am, I haven't got my hopes up or anything, I'm mostly convinced that I'm not pregnant if anything!

AF isn't due til Thursday yet so I tested way too early really, I don't even know why I did it! I think its just because I had them in, I wouldn't have gone to buy one to do a test yesterday!

LikeTheFruit · 25/03/2019 20:15

Thanks @thosethreewords trying not to get hopes up too much. Got some lower cramping tonight and boobs feeling heavy so maybe just a longer cycle but we'll see. When are you due to test?

Thanks@PeacockingAbout I think there's still time for spotting. Maybe a longer cycle? Though boobs feeling a bit different tonight but I'm now cramping too. Who knows. Things sounds so confusing for you, it's awful feeling conflicted. I'm sure whatever happens will work out.

@Jessikka that all sounds very promising - so early too!!

Jessikka · 25/03/2019 19:36

@PeacockingAbout live your life for you, they will have to cope and manage!

It will all work out - I'm a firm believer in that! :)

PeacockingAbout · 25/03/2019 19:32

Yeah, @Lola871 I'm not recommending the Superdrug ones right now! The sample stopped halfway down the test!

I have also used the Wilkos 2 pack ones with no issue before, they're very cheap from memory.

@Jessikka that sounds promising! its such a mind-fuck that the symptoms of pregnant and not pregnant are the bloody same mostly! The metallic taste is a very good sign I think though

Glad the shifts were ok @LikeTheFruit, fingers crossed AF stays away, its looking promising with no spotting.

Doing ok here thanks @PinkFizz19, AF due Qeds, I'm not feeling particularly hopeful either, but who knows! Are you going anywhere nice?

Still feeling 'booby' but not getting hopes up, and have had my boss talking about how stressful Dec will be without the PG team member today, and if I am PG then I'll also be gone which is not ideal. Thinking I should probably have sat this month out as it would be no bother really in Jan. Now both stressed I'm not pregnant, and stressed I am which is in no way confusing Hmm

Jessikka · 25/03/2019 19:17

Sorry, typo

That was supposed to say "the taste was so strong I thought my mouth was filled with blood"

Not sure what happened lol

Jessikka · 25/03/2019 19:15

Hi all!

Had a very odd day today!

My boobs are on FIRE today. They've ached since 10am.
Next came an overwhelmingly strong metal taste - I even had to swill my mouth out as I was convinced I'd cut myself absentmindedly! I hadnt - the taste was smell I thought my mouth was filled with blood. Wasn't pleasant.
I've also had cramps and pinching all day!

I'm only 6dpo though - so too early for anything to start up! if you're pregnant enough to have symptoms you're pregnant enough to +ve I was told so I'm not reading into it but it's definitely something new!

My luteal phase is 12 usually so still 6 days to go until AF is due! Let's see what next week brings!

thosethreewords · 25/03/2019 18:45

@LikeTheFruit that sounds promising!! FX

@PinkFizz19 really hope this is good news for you x

PinkFizz19 · 25/03/2019 18:35

Hey ladies, wow we're getting through this new thread quickly. Thank you for the add. Sorry I've not read it all but welcome to any newbies and if I've missed some BFPs Congratulations to you!!! 🎉💖

Hope my cycle buddies are doing ok? @PeacockingAbout @cupcakesandglitter

I'm due AF Wednesday if my cycle stays 27 days. I go away tomorrow until the weekend without DP so he said I'll have to keep him informed of whether she shows. I have a feeling she will though, right on time. I'm not feeling optimistic or any symptoms. Would be lovely if she didn't though and me and DP could test together for him a nice early birthday present 🤞😍 trying to be positive and keep a level head at the same time is so hard though 😕

LikeTheFruit · 25/03/2019 12:10

Morning all

Survived my night shifts and AF didn't interrupt them which was a bonus. So now I'm CD 31 13 DPO - last cycle I was spotting from 11dpo and AF on 12.

I've got a really sore lower back but no really cramps at all. Did an IC (one stop brand anyone use them) which was BFN this morning so I guess I'll check again in a couple of days if AF doesn't tear her ugly head.

Good luck anyone testing this week and sorry the old bitch showed up for some of you!!

Crossfitgirl · 25/03/2019 10:19

@jessikka I also had a drink in the 2ww the month I concieved. I have friends who've been bladdered and not known they were pg yet! Plenty time to stop drinking once you get pg. Even then, one or two every now and then is fine x

Hannah192 · 25/03/2019 09:48

@Jessikka fx that all sounds promising 🤞🏼
I had some cramps last week but I think it was too early to be anything. Haven’t really had anything since that I’ve noticed. I’m very tired but I think that’s just lack of sleep from the weekend 😂
Keeping 🤞🏼 for you x

Jessikka · 25/03/2019 09:42

Thanks @sunshine1987 - I hadn't even considered it but some women go beyond!

I will have a cheeky glass or two! And shall smile whilst I do it lol!

sunshine1987 · 25/03/2019 09:35

@Jessikka I fell pregnant on a week where I was drinking every night/day (on honeymoon) after cutting it out for 6 months in the two week window. Would say sod it and go for that glass of wine xx

sunshine1987 · 25/03/2019 09:33

@lola871 any that are pink dye I would get, blue dye one’s are known for being more unreliable. I can see the line though xx

Jessikka · 25/03/2019 09:28

@Hannah192 ah cool - FX for you 😊

I had some sharp pains yesterday which stabbed in each ovary at diff times of the day and I hard sharp pains if I bent over in the same places. Today I've had some mild cramps and tender boobs and that's all. I don't read into them as they're just Progesterone saying hello lol.

You? x

Budgie160639 · 25/03/2019 09:27

Thank you so much x

Hannah192 · 25/03/2019 09:15

@BabyO1988 It sounds like you have it covered

Sorry to those that AF arrived.

@SunnyL88 congratulations!

@Budgie160639 I would have thought that if there is a line then it’s a positive 🤞🏼

@Jessikka AF is also due on Sunday for me! Would be so lovely to get a BFP on mother’s day!! Have you had many symptoms?

I’m 8dpo today. As AF is due Sunday I’m going to try and hold off testing until the Monday if she’s late. Not sure if I’ve had any symptoms or not really. Not feeling very hopeful for some reason but I think we covered it as best as we could

Jessikka · 25/03/2019 09:05

@Lola871 maybe ignore my suggestion lol
@PeacockingAbout hasn't had the best experience this morning with Superdrug!

PeacockingAbout · 25/03/2019 08:27

@starkid I'm really sorry AF arrived - and a massive cold! That just cruel. Rest up, I hope you feel better soon.

@granddesigns sorry that AF arrived for you, hope you're feeling a bit better at least also.

@BabyO1988 you should be covered!

@Welshpugmomma wow emigration is exciting, where to? Good luck with the testing - I can't help at all with what to expect but hope it goes well and you get some support.

@KatBeCool hope temp confirms it this morning!

@MrsH497 that is really annoying! How late are you now? Do you know if you ovulated on time?

@Jessikka I think a couple of glasses is fine

12DPO today, and a defunct test! Using a cheapie superdrug plastic one in a rush before work (run out of IC strips) and it must have flooded as half of the strip went pink and the other half white and even the control strip took 10 mins to come up. Guess I'm going shopping!

Breasts are still large and sore but this is a usual AF symptom for me, which DH keeps reminding me! Guess patience is my only option Confused

Jessikka · 25/03/2019 08:26

Hi @Lola871

I've heard people mention Superdrug are sensitive - though never tried myself! People have said they're reasonably priced too?

Fx for you 🤞🤞

Lola871 · 25/03/2019 08:22

@Budgie160639 I'm definitely not an expert but I'd say if there's a line then that's a positive, it won't necessarily change much overnight, maybe do another one tomorrow or Wednesday and see how they look. Fingers crossed for you!

Lola871 · 25/03/2019 08:19

Another supersquinter this morning ladies, I've tried to take a picture but not sure if it's visible in the pic, it's definitely there in real life. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy a more expensive test aren't I? Can anyone recommend any that aren't quite as expensive as an FRER but are still fairly sensitive?
