@dobzyj the fact that you get symptoms sounds positive doesn't it. I would keep taking your temp and I am sure it will all become clear. It took me about 6 months for my cycles to calm down after the pill so it may just be a side effect from that for you?

dobzyj · 28/03/2019 06:51

@FlapJackered I'm doing my temps and not had a rise yet either..... il keep doing it

dobzyj · 28/03/2019 06:50

@FlapJackered thanks. Doc says she was unsure as she wanted me to be exactly 7 days before af when she did bloods and it turned out I was 9 days before. So it may have been too soon to do bloods as I was only one point below. She said if I'd been more below then she'd know but it was one point short and not on the exact day so it's unclear. I get symptoms. Just not the lh surge result which is obvs due to low progesterone. It's cycle 3 now that this is happened. I came off the pill in Dec. She's referred me and I have appt in July but it's the not knowing that's frustrating

FlapJackered · 28/03/2019 06:38

@dobzyj welcome! Unfortunately bloods are probably the most accurate way of telling if you are ovulating. Although it could be you're just not ovulating when you think you should be ovulating. What does your doctor say about the blood test results?
Have you tried taking your temperature every morning? I use the Fertility Friend app and I can clearly see when I ovulate each month from my temperature.

dobzyj · 28/03/2019 01:02

Hi all. New to this. 38 ttc first child. Cycles approx 30 -32 days. Oestrogen rise shown by high on opk at approx CD10 but never peak. CM watery day 10 and 11 but no egg white. No lh surge. Maybe too low? Bloods 29 and should be 30 to suggest ovulation. Don't know if I'm actually ovulating or not. Any ideas?

thosethreewords · 28/03/2019 00:04

@starkid other Netflix recommendations (baby related) the letdown (very funny) and Workin' moms. Very easy watching!

@SunnyL88 sorry about AF but I'm pleased you are feeling optimistic about it all

@PeacockingAbout I'm going to be waiting tomorrow morning for your update. I really hope it's good news

@Lola871 yep that's my trick too! Tell everyone you don't want kids and then no one asks! I can't bring myself to do it nowadays though. I'm so broody it's a bit obvious when I go gooey around babies.

Actually, I never ever used to be that person. I was the person thinking "why is everyone going gaga over a drooling baby?" In fact - I used to get annoyed at people who would say "you will change your mind" (I know some people don't) and I was resolute that wasn't going to be me!!
Not sure what happened... but now I feel achey inside when I cuddle a baby ❤️

starkid · 27/03/2019 22:43

@PeacockingAbout- excited to see what happens with your test tomorrow! I also watched Isn't It Romantic on Netflix today which made me laugh a lot :)

Thanks for the messages, am feeling a bit better this evening so that's nice, and AF calmed down a bit!!

I'll post the stats list again at the weekend in case I missed anything updates :)

Been on the quiet the last few days trying to begin my tww without getting too fixated on it.

Nice to see people back in the group!
Sorry to see that at showed up @starkid and @SunnyL88 - fingers crossed for your next cycle!

I'm about 5dpo today. Been having mild cramps today and slight lower back pain. Literally slept for around 10 hours the last 3 nights and still feel tired. Boobs feel more full but not sore really. Just got to keep waiting and see whether af shows up next week x

SunnyL88 · 27/03/2019 21:07

Ah so af arrived today. I see the doctor re blood results but I obviously know the answer. Never mind, I’m taking it completely positively that I can actually get pregnant after having high prolactin.

Good luck to all of you in the 2ww it’s torture but we’re all here for you! Thanks everyone for the support too xx

cupcakesandglitter · 27/03/2019 20:16

@PeacockingAbout I'm not going to think into it 😂 I have no FRERs or anything I don't think so I'm not gonna go out and buy one until I think it's worth it... let us know ASAP tomorrow!! X

PeacockingAbout · 27/03/2019 20:11

@cupcakesandglitter eye watering! Thank you!! Ooooh that sounds promising!!

cupcakesandglitter · 27/03/2019 20:05

@PeacockingAbout they're so expensive right 😂😂😂 fx for you tomorrow!!! I've just realised I had EWCM randomly on CD25 the month I had my CP... I had EWCM on CD26 on Monday 🤔

PeacockingAbout · 27/03/2019 20:01

@cupcakesandglitter I've just bought a CB digital for FMU tomorrow (fuck me they're pricey!!) Sorry you're being hassled, TTC can suck the joy out of looking forward to everything.

Thanks @KatBeCool. How are you getting on, have you started the progesterone for this month?

@Pinksunset1 sorry AF has arrived and with rather rotten timing x

Good luck @orangeloo, must have been hard him being away so much. Good luck for C4

Sorry to hear that @MrsH497, hope something changes very soon.

@Lola871 really sorry to hear that AF has arrived

@Jessikka good luck - fingers crossed for you!

@starkid, sorry you're feeling rotten! Hope you are feeling a bit better soon! What's next on Netflix for you? I promised DH i wouldn't test again til tomorrow, and use a decent test - I've done 5 since Sat with 3 different results and bless him he was getting confused.

I hope it's ok that I'm still hanging around, not got a definite BFP yet and having some odd and persistent low cramps the last two days so not feeling totally ready to graduate

Lola871 · 27/03/2019 19:40

Thanks @FlapJackered, that's what I get for testing early! Never mind, think OH will feel cheated if we don't get to 'try' lots for a while 😅

@Jessikka I got married 3 years ago and to stop people asking I just told them I didn't want children, worked surprisingly well!

FlapJackered · 27/03/2019 19:28

@ValidUser omg!! That's fantastic news! You must be over the moon! I am so so happy for you!!! Now you can breathe and get back on that horse 🐎 yeeeha! 😂

@daisiesandpeonies progesterone cream doesn't help with shortening cycles in fact people usually take it to lengthen their luteal phase. I think I just bought it thinking it might help prevent another mc. I think I am being irrational though! 🙈

@KatBeCool thanks for the info, I think I am going to wait until next cycle to use it, as my body is still a bit of a mess and don't want to make this cycle even longer now. 😬

@Jessikka that sounds horrendous!! Poor you, it makes an enjoyable day really distressing doesn't it. I had all of that too, after I hit the year mark I told all my close friends and family I was trying and it isn't working and miraculously the questions have now stopped (apart from my brother saying 'just relax and it will happen' very unhelpful!!) x

@Pinksunset1 poor you, that is a long cycle, at least it is over now. I can sympathise with you as I had a lot of very long cycles in the 6 months after coming off the pill and it is horrible not knowing where you are. I can't remember if you said you had been to the gp? Did they make any useful suggestions? X

@MrsH497 sorry you're in limbo, it's so frustrating when you don't know where you are. I hope it all becomes clear soon. X

@Lola871 I am sorry for af, i was really rooting for you this cycle. 🤞🏻for next cycle. X

Jessikka · 27/03/2019 19:13

Thanks for the support about overbearing intrusive parents 😳

I'm sat here ever so slightly concerned AF is going to arrive on 10dpo. Which I don't want (obvious reason aside) as my LP would be too short. Though my cycles have altered in length my LP has always been 12!

I've had a weird pinch and pulling behind my belly button all day today and I feel a pinch in my side if I stretch. These definitely aren't usual for me (everyday) but I documented these niggles on 11dpo and AF arrived two days later.

I thought I may have been in with a slight chance as I had the metallic blood mouth at 6/7dpo but now I think it's all moved up a time frame. I've never had the blood taste before but lots of women have documented it before BFP.

Time will tell! I may be heading into cycle4 quicker than I realised 🙈 but! I'm not out yet 🤞

cupcakesandglitter · 27/03/2019 19:12

@starkid oh :( fingers crossed you feel better soon xx

@ValidUser omg that's fantastic news, so so pleased for you!! XX

@thosethreewords eurgh sorry you've had it too. Same as my mum - every time she just "relaxed" it happened straight away. She's convinced relaxing is the cure.... cheers Mum.

I'm actually not looking forward to Mother's Day :( love both my mums to pieces, but at Christmas we decided we'd tell both families on Mother's Day because I would've had my 12week scan. Life can be so shitty sometimes.

smitch82 · 27/03/2019 18:35

@daisiesandpeonies I will keep you updated. I know OPK's will stress me out and I don't fancy missing my weekend lie in to temp 😂

daisiesandpeonies · 27/03/2019 17:44

@ValidUser congratulations!! That's wonderful news.
@smitch82 am going to watch with interest - have an irregular cycle too and otks just seemed to make things more stressful

smitch82 · 27/03/2019 17:33

@MrsH497 mine have been all over the place, hence my getting the Ava in a bid to try something to see what's going on!

I am hoping this month I won't be waiting till day 46!

Lola871 · 27/03/2019 16:02

@ValidUser that's great news!

@MrsH497 my cycles kept getting longer for a while but this one has been 1 day shorter so hopefully they stop getting longer soon!

I'm on to cycle 3 ladies, as expected. CD1 today, bright side is I'm down to a 34 day cycle this time!

MrsH497 · 27/03/2019 15:28

Still no AF now a week late and last test was BFN I'm getting truly disheartened at my cycles getting longer for some odd reason. I now just want AF it. BFP so I can get on with cycle 5

smitch82 · 27/03/2019 14:24

So I have paid out for the Ava... will let you know what I think.

If anyone else wants to try I have a £20 discount code/link let me know 😊

TTC first baby - thread 15
ValidUser · 27/03/2019 14:23

@starkid thank you!

@KatBeCool I think I need to wait for next month, but I can do that! And both ovaries can be accessed for ivf if needs be! So I can pass on my lovely genes. 😂

KatBeCool · 27/03/2019 14:02

@ValidUser such great news! So can you start ttc right away?

@thosethreewords I immediately trust less the sources that try to sell you their product. But if I see and exact information repeated by everyone, I'd say it's correct. I try to find studies with large test groups, or I do very narrow and specific searches. There were times when I couldn't find anything consistent and gave up.

@Jessikka that sounds horrible! People don't think that their innocent curiosity could bring harm. There should be a rule that prohibits asking when you're going to have a baby.
