@Smitch82, congratulations that's amazing news! 2-3 weeks on a digital is a definite win 🙂

Well ladies, I am happy to report af has arrived! Counting my d&c as cycle day 1 in March puts me at a 28 day cycle. I was usually 28 - 31 days before so seems I have gone back to normal straight away which I'm taking as a massive positive 😃 I have cler blue opks to use this cycle to help track everything as the mc may have put me out a little. Literally just came on and Dh is eagerly awaiting af to clear up already, so we can get to BD'ing without the condoms 🙄 Bless him!

@cupcakesandglitter, I'm sorry to hear you're struggling. Sending hugs your way xx Don't be hard on yourself, take some time and have a treat, you deserve it!

Totally off topic, but if anyone feels kitchen creative and has a sweet tooth, my sil made cheesecakes... In easter egg shells! Amazing 😋

@Lottiepink not at all. Who can keep up with everyone and themselves 🤷‍♀️
Also mine have been erratic since I came off the pill so we were genuinely shocked at the result!
Will test again when we get the shopping but I am hoping this BFP is right!

Lottiepink · 07/04/2019 10:33

@smitch82 you will think I'm going nutty asking where af was due etc as I know we were chatting last week, but I lose track with
Seeing all the posts 🤦🏻‍♀️ sorry haha!!

Fingers crossed for you when you do another test, but I'm sure if that one says 2-3 weeks you will get a good strong line on a frer?

smitch82 · 07/04/2019 10:23

@Lottiepink I thought on Friday.

Lottiepink · 07/04/2019 10:12

@smitch82 aww how fab!! When did you think AF was due?

For that to say 2-3 weeks that's a good sign!

smitch82 · 07/04/2019 09:53

@Lottiepink thanks. First test. I waited till I was late (or thought I was). As I said I want to check it so we are going to get some more today and test again!

Lottiepink · 07/04/2019 09:48

Hi everyone, been away for a few days, trying to catch up!

@smitch82 congratulations that's amazing!! Is that the first positive test, or did you have the really faint test a few days ago?

Fingers crossed for everyone this cycle hope we all get out BFP's
I am on day 29 and 4 dpo because I ov'd late. My temps been up last few days which I would usually expect for it to be over cover line but last 3 days is gradually got higher. I'm praying that means something positive 🤞🏻

smitch82 · 07/04/2019 08:44

@Bacchant thanks. I am still in disbelief as although not been trying long I have wanted this for ages!! I am going to do a few more make sure it is right!!

Bacchant · 07/04/2019 08:41

@smitch82 omg congrats! I was typing my post so didn’t see it! Here’s hoping you have a happy and healthy 9 months!

Bacchant · 07/04/2019 08:35

So my DH just told me he’s going to be away for work during my fertile week. So fingers crossed I Ov a bit earlier/later than usual. We should be able to catch one day either end of it at least 😢

@AysLon Same here! I can’t believe it’s so complex, all those years trying to avoid it hardly seem worth it! The CB tests really are pricy! I’ve got enough for two months of them but I think I’ll get something cheaper when these run out! I hope you get your static smiley soon!

@KatBeCool oooh I hope the temps are a good sign! When are you next testing?

@Bec18x I’m just taking plain folic acid at the moment, but when I run out I think I’ll get some pregnacare as I’ve seen good reviews for it!

@cupcakesandglitter oh hun that sounds so rough! 💗

smitch82 · 07/04/2019 08:26

I am in shock... my DH wants me to POS on many more but got my BFP today. Let's hope it is a sticky bean!

How many times have people known these to give out false positives?

TTC first baby - thread 15
thosethreewords · 07/04/2019 07:02

@Bec18x I take pregnacare, vitamin C and then for my follicular phase I also had primrose oil and raspberry leaf tea.
Next cycle I'm going to start coenzyme q10, vit B6 and slightly more vit D.

@smitch82 yeah they are quite good the capsules too. I don't mind the tea so I have that!

@starkid I always wondered what the difference was between before conception and pregnancy pregnacare. I know I can look it up, but was there a specific reason for your choice?

@Lemonysherbet hi 👋 where did you go? Hope it's not long for you to wait now!

@FlapJackered that's exactly what happened to me last cycle - I had 2 days bleeding then nothing for 12 hrs so thought maybe that was it. Nope... also didn't have any emergency tampons when I was out 🙄

@cupcakesandglitter huge hugs to you ❤️💕 I'm so sorry. I don't really know what else to say because I can't imagine being there, it's too painful xx

KatBeCool · 07/04/2019 02:36

@thosethreewords I set an alarm and then go back to sleep, I'm used to it now.

@FlapJackered I used to have 3-4 days of proper bleeding and then another 5-6 of spotting, but now it's 2 days bleeding and 2-3 days of very light spotting. I don't think it can restart on you, and you're most likely done, in the worst case it might spot a bit, I wouldn't worry. I'm going to wait to test until Monday. Last cycle I started having AF cramps and spotting, and temp dropped by now, but there's still nothing. I'm praying to all the gods.

cupcakesandglitter · 07/04/2019 00:15

@FlapJackered no :( I'm actually out atm and just had a cry in someone's garden, I really don't want to "try" this month because I don't think I can take the heartbreak of a year.. I sometimes have spotting - the cycle I think we were in sync, I think I had AF for three days, and then a couple of nothing, and then a bit of spotting again. Hopefully that's not the case for you x

FlapJackered · 06/04/2019 23:48

Do you guys normally have spotting for a while after your period or does it end fairly abruptly?
I normally have about a week of bleeding but only 2/3 days proper bleeding then 4 days of spotting getting increasingly darker then brown. This time it looks like AF has just stopped after 3 days. I am wondering if that's it or if she will jump out again at me from wherever she is hiding when I leave the tampons at home!

@KatBeCool Ah I am keeping everything crossed for you! When are you testing again?
I am ok thanks although I started the Isoflavones last night and I am already feeling like the world is falling in. I wish I had the same reaction Starkid did with the productivity! I am just a mess on them! I hope it's going to be worth it, although trying not to get my hopes up too much.

Good to hear from you @Lemonysherbet sorry to hear af is not behaving, as you can see above I am also having issues, why can't it just be predictable!

@Bec18x I take coenzyme q10 too and fish oil as well as all you have listed. I am a throw everything at it kind of girl though! 😂

@smitch82 @Jessikka I get really bad nausea too at certain points in the cycle. I think some of us do just react differently to the rise and fall of hormones. It's frustrating when you can't attribute it as a pregnancy symptom though!

@cupcakesandglitter Glad you're feeling better. Are you going to do opks this cycle?

Lemonysherbet · 06/04/2019 21:28

Thought I would drop in and say hellooooo, still lurking, still waiting until post Zika country visit to get on the baby making bandwagon again but cheering you all on from the sidelines!

Congrats to all the bfps I missed!

I've been battling with weird periods, kind of glad not TTC as I would be adamant I was pregnant otherwise. The last 2 months they have been 2 days and light with clots. Used to be 5 days and really heavy with bad period pains. Haven't a clue why either!

Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend :) I'll keep lurking and doing a fist bump every time someone gets their bfp 🥰

starkid · 06/04/2019 21:27

@Bec18x - I'm just taking pregnacare 'before conception' tablets this cycle

OP posts:
smitch82 · 06/04/2019 21:20

@thosethreewords @Jessikka I also have dr prescribed peppermint tablets which are really good. I need to get more of them soon as nothing else seems to work well!

Bec18x · 06/04/2019 21:17

Hi all,
Just a quick question.. what supplements/medications do you all take? I’ve been taking 1500 metformin and a pre pregnancy tablet with iron, vitamin d and folic acid in and I’ve just started taking inositol and vitamin b6 and magnesium this week. Does anyone recommend anything?

thosethreewords · 06/04/2019 19:29

@Jessikka I agree, best to see GP at some point for routine appointment.
Could also try peppermint tea. That always helps me with bloating and nausea after eating x

smitch82 · 06/04/2019 19:24

@Jessikka good plan. I am taking to drinking ginger tea and ginger beer to try and feel better!

Jessikka · 06/04/2019 18:01

@smitch82 it's horrible isn't it!

I think il have one more cycle and if it carries on il make an apt!

smitch82 · 06/04/2019 17:58

@Jessikka I am feeling sick a lot of the time too and I have only just come off the pill (in jan).

Worth speaking to your doctor though... always worth checking something out just in case, I think!

Jessikka · 06/04/2019 17:46

Morning all,

What would you do if you were me?

I keep feeling sick within minutes of eating. I also have constant bloating which I've never had in my life and I have cramps nearly every day.

My period this month was off too: 5 days of light spotting then only 2 days of a light flow 🤷🏼‍♀️

Would you contribute this to hormones after the pill (stopped in Dec) and just wait it out a bit longer? Or would you think 4months is long enough now and there may be an underlying problem.

I'm getting slightly fed up of feeling constantly sick now?!

thosethreewords · 06/04/2019 16:05

Yeah I'm just setting my alarm really early from now on and then I'll go back to sleep! At least if I measure BBT I feel like I'm actually doing something...
