@starkid thanks x

AysLon · 07/04/2019 21:13

@rose555 my fingers are crossed for you. Let's hope AF doesn't show.

rose555 · 07/04/2019 20:54

Big congratulations @smitch82 ! Such wonderful news.

To all those in the 2WW - I’m with you. Now on CD28 either 11 or 12 DPO. AF due Tuesday. DH and I went away for the weekend with some friends - 3 other couples. Two of the other girls are already midway through pregnancies. On our first night, the one remaining girl who I thought I could enjoy a glass of wine (or two) with, announced she is also pregnant!! I was happy for her, but I found it tough to keep my face from giving me away. I just felt like such an odd one out. I had a tiny cry in the shower on Saturday morning and then pulled myself together.

Now back home and wondering if I am imagining things but I’ve had very gentle cramping / dull ache in my uterus area for the past 3 days. Most noticeable today. I fell asleep on the sofa this afternoon and have quite noticeable backache in my lower back this evening. I tested Friday and Saturday mornings and both were BFNs, but now starting to wonder if something might be happening.... or if a particularly strong AF is on her way....!?

Hope everyone’s Sundays are going well.

thosethreewords · 07/04/2019 18:35

@Bacchant I think I might try mindfulness and meditation - that can be my goal for next week. Thanks for the tip and for understanding!!

Bacchant · 07/04/2019 18:17

@Fivebyfive2 yay for Af! (Can’t believe I’m saying that on a ttc thread!) also those cheesecakes looks amazing! I might have to give them a go, it’s such a creative idea!

@thosethreewords I know how you feel, it’s so frustrating to be in the tww. I often want to fast forward through it, but at the same time I don’t want to be wishing my life a way. I’ve been trying to practice mindfulness and being ‘present and in the moment”, but it’s tough when I just want to find out if this month has been a success or not!

@lemonysherbert seeing your post just make me check if I’m going to be okay for my holiday later in the year! We’re going on a cruise in the. Caribbean and Disneyland Florida in September! The cdc seems to say it’s safe in Florida, but we’re going to be going to some of the islands off the cost. We pay the final balance in July so maybe if I am PG by then we might just cancel it if the risk is took high!

smitch82 · 07/04/2019 18:05

Thanks all. As requested did another test and got another BFP! Finally think DH believes it 😂😂

Pinksunset1 · 07/04/2019 17:36

@smitch82 congrats I also honeymooned in Mexico a year ago this may x

@thosethreewords thank you x

starkid · 07/04/2019 17:35

@Pinksunset1 that looks positive to me!

@Lemonysherbet that sounds amazing! I've always really wanted to go to Mexico and will be booking it if we haven't conceived by Christmas because I will need to put TTC on hold for 9-10 months because of work xx

smitch82 · 07/04/2019 16:16

@Lemonysherbet they certainly are!

We went near there. It was lovely 😊 you will have an amazing time xx

orangeloo · 07/04/2019 15:47

@smitch82 congratulations! Happy and healthy nine months. That result on a digital is great! X

Pinksunset1 · 07/04/2019 15:45

I’m so bad at reading these ovulation sticks does this look like a positive? Appreciate the help x

@smith82 somewhere in playacar I think, it's for a family wedding, can't wait!

I bet, I don't think I'll ever believe it when it actually happens until I see a scan or feel movement. God aren't our bodies incredible that we can produce a tiny us.

smitch82 · 07/04/2019 14:53

@Lemonysherbet we had our honeymoon in Mexico. Waited the 3 months before starting to try too! It is amazing there, where are you going?

I feel ok. I am just feeling like it is a lie and it hasn't quite hit home yet!

AysLon · 07/04/2019 14:49

@thosethreewords yeah DTD every 2 days, last time was Thursday. But really feeling down today. I need to just shake it off and not be so frustrated. Theres bigger problems and i havent been trying that long. I have bought a thermometer so will start tracking temps from tomorrow morning, something new to try.

Lemonysherbet · 07/04/2019 14:47

@flapjackered I don't normally get spotting, just 4-5 days of fairly heavy bleeding, never has spotting oddly. I was an all or nothing kind of girl until this month!
@cupcakesandglitter give yourself a break if you need it, your body will appreciate you for it :) and your mind! I was only on cycle 2 but paused until 3 months after were back from Mexico (we go in a month but if we fell pregnant before it would have meant we couldn't go) and as much as I want a baby I know I also need to look after myself and not having th stress is really good for me.
@thosethreewords going to Mexico in a month but have to wait 3 after we return so can start trying again in August. Quite helpful as I'm looking to change jobs so will give me a chance to settle!
@smitch82 oh huge congratulations to you That's great news. How are you feeling?
@fivebyfive2 sorry to hear AF appeared, those eggs look epic, and like they would soften her wrath 😂

ValidUser · 07/04/2019 14:35

Congrats on all the BFPs!

2 DPO here on my first cycle with any real chance of working.

It's actually cycle 10ish, but had surgery last week and calling it cycle 1.

We did get out the syringes because I didn't want to ruin the surgeon's good work. 😂

thosethreewords · 07/04/2019 14:06

@AysLon don't apologise. That must be so frustrating. Are you BD every other day? I think with SMEP that's what they recommend, so if you have the stamina, I'd continue until AF or until positive test.

I'm feeling frustrated as I dislike the 2WW. It seems to drag and because I don't feel I got an exact O day this month because my temping has been off. I have moments where I want to just wake up in a weeks time and not have to go through a week of thinking about it constantly but then another part of me thinks "pull yourself together! It may take months/ years!"

I think it's harder because I work with children and babies so constantly reminded of what I would love to have!

AysLon · 07/04/2019 13:57

@smitch82 wow amazing news! So happy for you!

I am CD22 out of 33 and still seeing a flashing smiley face. 1 CBOPK stick left, zero hope to see a peak or even know when ovulation is this month. Feeling so confused with my body. But in the grand scheme of life I know today is a spec of sand and that gives me hope for tomorrow. Sorry to be a debbie downer.

thosethreewords · 07/04/2019 13:21

@smitch82 completely agree with you. Really hope the next few weeks pass quickly for you! X

smitch82 · 07/04/2019 12:55

@thosethreewords I am going to buy some more tests now to please DH who is excited and happy but skeptical. Think he is not going to believe until the scan 😂

I am not telling anyone till after the 12 weeks scan. I have had friends with losses and my mum suffered a lot on her TTC journey so don't want to jinx it! I will struggle but I know it is the best thing to do!

I have had nausea on the toad before but not quite as bad as that. Hopefully it is a good sign to feel sick early 😂

Fivebyfive2 · 07/04/2019 12:53

@thosethreewords, I think it's a basic cheesecake recipe and just used the shells in place of a tin! They're epic! Hope work goes fast for you today xx I've never been so pleased to get a period! Means we can start trying without too much messing about 🙂

thosethreewords · 07/04/2019 12:40

@smitch82 also, what's your plan with telling people? Is your DP excited? Tell me everything and keep me going at work!

thosethreewords · 07/04/2019 12:35

@Fivebyfive2 they look amazing!!! How did she make them?! Also YEY FOR AF!! Never thought I would type that in a TTC thread but that's really great news for you! FX everything goes well for you this cycle!

@smitch82 congratulations!!! So so pleased for you! I did wonder the other day when you had your nauseous episode in the car!!
