Sorry AF came @KatBeCool, fingers crossed the clomid does the trick!

@orangeloo and @thosethreewords we are actually being super relaxed about it, we aren't particularly trying to time DTD, I'm keeping an eye on when my periods are due and that's all! If this doesn't work after 6 months or so we might up our game a bit. But I'm the type who could easily get over zealous with it so I think this is the way I need to go. It helps that in some ways we want it to take a little while so that we can save up, prepare mentally etc. I hope this doesn't offend anyone! I'm loving being part of the thread, learning lots about TTC and how things work, and cheering everyone else on as well!

Bacchant · 10/04/2019 20:07

@orangeloo @thosethreewords @starkid
I’m glad I’m not the only one who finds it difficult to actually imagine myself pregnant/with a baby!
Yesterday I made a list if things to look forward to each month for the next year or so which would be impacted a lot if I was PG! Like in October I’m planning on learning how to dive which I can’t do PG!

I’m loving all the pet pics. I would post one of my fur baby but she’s a black cat and doesn’t photo well almost every pic of her looks like a shadow with two eyes!

Question regarding temping - is it better to do as soon as I wake or the same time each day? My alarm goes at 6am so I’ve been temping then but the last few days I’ve been waking at half 5 - so ofc I’m now worrying I’m doing it wrong by waiting till 6!

MrsR16 · 10/04/2019 19:58

Hi ladies! I'm sorry I've been AWOL recently - just wanted to take a break from the whole TTC journey, so haven't been on here much, haven't done OPKs, haven't timed DTD at all, just let it happen! It's been awesome! I'm now in the TWW I think (god knows really!) so just chilling this week while DH is away.

This is my beautiful fur baby - he'll give me away if anyone knows me on here! 😂

PinkFizz19 · 10/04/2019 19:29

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing 😘 loving all the fur baby photos 😍

starkid · 10/04/2019 10:10

@orangeloo @thosethreewords - yep same, that's why I'm trying to just relax this cycle and be 'whatever' about it, as it'll be a year in May anyway so be going to the docs (I've been counting ttc as since Sept as that's when we consciously started trying, but been off contraception since end of May) Smile

I also cannot actually picture myself getting pregnant and having a baby, it seems an abstract idea that happens to other people Sad

Thank you for the supplement recommendations! I went and got some q10 to add to my collection!

orangeloo · 09/04/2019 22:04

@thosethreewords I think that's a good attitude to have. There's no point worrying unnecessarily when you need to wait a year anyway. Go with a relaxed approach as much as possible whilst still actively trying is far more ideal if you can. Really hope I can remember this, much easier to say before I've ovulated haha.

thosethreewords · 09/04/2019 21:53

@FlapJackered poooooch! What a gorgeous dog! 😍

@AysLon go for it - I had a G&T last night at home just for the hell of it. And apart from Christmas/ the occasional wedding, I never drink. I think that's one part of pregnancy that I would find easy at least!

@KatBeCool really hope the clomid works for you xx

@orangeloo I can really relate to everything you've said. It feels so abstract the thought of having my own child one day, but what I comfort myself with, is it felt like that when I was waiting for DH to propose.. I think that was just as torturous in some ways 😂
But on a serious note, I'm still trying to find the right balance between getting support on here and not obsessing over each cycle and seeing it more as a year long plan (I'm aware it can take longer than this and I don't mean any offence to anyone by saying this - all I mean is I don't want to feel the need to examine everything more closely until I get to that point)

cupcakesandglitter · 09/04/2019 21:51

Ahh @KatBeCool that's shit sorry 😩 fingers crossed higher dose works for you x

KatBeCool · 09/04/2019 21:38

Ugh this phone sure has mind of its own when it comes to typing. It was not supposed to say that my spotting got more trees, it got more red.

orangeloo · 09/04/2019 21:23

@AysLon I wouldn't worry about the Prosecco dr said to me two weeks ago only anecdotal evidence that suggests drinking can effect ttc. Each to their own I think. I'm giving it up as there's potential low progesterone issue and I want to see if no alcohol helps but I'd say generally speaking it won't stop you falling pregnant.

@KatBeCool sorry you got AF was thinking and hoping this was ure month. X

I haven't posted recently as Af was here and been so busy. Someone on here said having a baby doesn't feel tangible like it will actually happen and you can't imagine it happening to you. I can totally relate. At hospital the other week I saw a couple going in to have their baby and I just felt so jealous and that the world isn't fair and that I can't realistically imagine that being me. So I'm trying to change my mindset which someone also said (I'm sorry I can't remember who). I'm trying to just relax and trust in the universe and that it will be my time at some point and I will have a baby. Because it's fairly early days (although it doesn't feel like it) and it's got to be better than a bit of a mental panic and carrying the pain of worrying that it won't happen. Not sure how long it will last and this is a rollercoaster but I'm trying it.

cd9 and hoping and fx that DP is here at my fertile time this month

ValidUser · 09/04/2019 21:09

Thinking of you @KatBeCool

KatBeCool · 09/04/2019 21:07

@FlapJackered @cupcakesandglitter I saw the dr earlier today. Looks like AF is starting a spotting intensified and got more trees. So I got a stronger dose of Clomid. Asked why my last AF was so light, he said it's fine as long as it actually happened. I got one, maybe two more tries on Clomid before they send me to a specialist for injectables, and all sorts of not fun stuff. Hoping more Clomid works.

cupcakesandglitter · 09/04/2019 20:52

@FlapJackered omg how gorgeous 😍

@KatBeCool fx you find out tomorrow xxx

AysLon · 09/04/2019 20:44

What's the view on drinking early in the 2WW? I don't think implantation would happen 2DPO so tonight I had 2 Proseccos at a work function.

FlapJackered · 09/04/2019 20:02

Ahh look at all those gorgeous fluffballs!
This is my crazy hound!

@KatBeCool sorry to hear you're still in limbo. I hope the OB gets to the bottom of it tomorrow.

@starkid I am impressed by the chill! I don't think I am going to achieve that this month. 😬

dahlia123 · 09/04/2019 17:25

@thosethreewords ok. Maybe the acupuncture changed made it shorter then. All such a mystery!

starkid · 09/04/2019 12:27

Oh wow, loving all of your pet photos! Grin

I said I was going to be chill this month, but have been doing OPKs still and not had a positive yet, so just trying to dtd every 2 days at the moment, but not stressing if we don't manage that.

@KatBeCool - fx it doesn't turn into AF xx

thosethreewords · 09/04/2019 12:17

@dahlia123 I've started raspberry leaf this cycle and my O was 2 days late! Not yet got my usual PM symptoms and 8DPO so hoping it's increased my LP if anything but who knows!

dahlia123 · 09/04/2019 11:22

Hi

Logging on after a little while off and how nice to see some lovely pets!

Congratulations @smitch82 and any other BFPs I've missed.

Good to hear that you're feeling positive @thosethreewords - that's got to be a good thing.

@KatBeCool - Fingers crossed for you that it's not AF.

Currently 2dpo (I think) on cd14, which is earlier that usual. Seems like raspberry leaf tea or acupuncture have shortened my usual 32/33 day cycle to 28ish for the last cycle and what seems like this one. Anyone else experienced that?

smitch82 · 09/04/2019 10:00

@thosethreewords it is nice when you wake up positive isn't it! 😊

thosethreewords · 09/04/2019 09:48

I'm feeling really positive today (which is great seeing as I'm on day 5 in a row at work and by the time it's my day off tomorrow I will have done 60 hours since Friday!)
I don't even mean positive about this cycle, but overall just feel positive that one day we will have a baby. Considering I usually get so focused in each cycle, I'm happy to embrace this outlook for now!
In terms of symptoms, I've not really felt anything tbh. AF due Saturday and 8DPO today. Surprised I'm not snappy at DH yet 😂 there's still time!

MotherOfShihTzus · 09/04/2019 09:29

How happy I am to wake up to all these beautiful pets!!

Here's my beautiful enzo;
