Hi!

Didn't manage to conceive last month so now it's time to try for a December baby! Anyone else want to join? On CD 4 so I'm feeling positive about a new start! I'm ttc no3.

@Scarletrose18 hopefully won't be long for you either. If you do get your ovulation in the next few days then 🤞🏻

Even though I got my flashing face again this morning I'm not sure if I've just got my ovulation ewcm. Going to dtd with dh tonight and the next few anyway just in case. Maybe I just missed my peak on the opk as I know this can happen too!
Feel like I've had some over the last week too like stomach pains, fatigue and then the ewcm today. Probably just fake ones as I want to get pregnant so badly! Xx

deathbycats · 11/03/2019 16:22

Much better today thanks ScarletRose.

I’m hoping I can use the OPKs to time it right next week. Due to ov on the 22nd and DH is day off on the 21st so no excuses 😂 but if I ov later than that I’m worried about missing it because sometimes he’s too tired from work because his job is very physical.

Scarletrose18 · 11/03/2019 16:07

Are you feeling any better today? @deathbycats

@babyO1988 Hopefully not much longer for you then. I know, it is tricky, its just timing and chance each cycle isnt it. I read a study of women ttc and 81% had bfp within 6 months which I think is really positive 🙂
Im getting on ok thank you, I normally ovulate between cd15 and cd18 so really my fertile time is between now and Monday. Thats alot of dtd so hopefully we have the energy 😂

BabyO1988 · 11/03/2019 13:01

I'm on cycle day 25 but my cycles are a bit longer than average. Hoping that doesn't affect me conceiving too much. Hence why I'm on the opk's already, trying to track my ovulation.
I think I'm gonna be in my ovulation window by the end of the week so 🤞🏻 day 6 of flashing face on the opk but I had to start testing earlier to make sure I didn't miss my peak.
I know I have been ovulating since coming off my pill in August but only started trying this month. Had the classic ewcm and a little spotting each time. Just didn't realise trying to conceive would be so tricky!
How is everyone else getting on?

deathbycats · 11/03/2019 10:40

I’m on CD6 today, Glow reckons ovulation in 12 days so we’ll see.

Scarletrose18 · 11/03/2019 08:25

@deatgbycats sorry you have a bug. Hopefully your ov isnt late because of it.

@babyO1988 Its so hard not to get obsessed over it, isnt it.

What cd is everyone on? Is anyone in the fertile window atm?

BabyO1988 · 10/03/2019 15:06

Hi everyone.
Ttc #1. I feel like trying for a baby has already take over my life. It's all I think about! I'm using the Clearblue ovulation sticks to try and make sure I don't miss my ovulation and I've had the flashy face for 5 days now. Really hoping for my solid face soon! 🤞🏻

deathbycats · 10/03/2019 11:48

I think I’ll definitely need OPKs this month - I think my Ov might be knocked off by a day or so now because I was up half the night with nausea. If I’ve got a big that’ll have an impact.

Scarletrose18 · 09/03/2019 22:21

@explorers10 He was born at the start of August, felt like such a hot summer lol.

@blondie I also vary between 28 to 30 days.

@deathbycats Im on cd10. Strange not to be using opks this cycle. But the ones I used before were all IC too and they worked well 🙂

@blueisthenew Hopefully this time is quicker for you 🙂

Explorers10 · 09/03/2019 09:59

@blondie87 agreed relaxed and not obsessing approach 😂

Explorers10 · 09/03/2019 09:58

@blondie87 I’m the same as deathbycats 28 to 30 day cycle

deathbycats · 09/03/2019 09:12

I'm on CD4 today scarletrose. I think I might start OPKing in a week. I got internet cheapies so it's not like I'm going to be wasting expensive tests Grin

Blondie - slightly irregular. I'm usually 28-30 days, although I have come on at 26/31/32 days before and last month was a 42 day cycle. That was a nightmare and that was just my first without my IUD (had the copper coil so still had a normal cycle while it was in). I'm getting a bit twitchy about this month because I'm so used to my period being long and heavy because of it, so to be light on CD4 is a bit nerve wracking for me.

Blondie87 · 09/03/2019 08:21

Does anyone else have slightly irregular cycles? My vary from 27-35 days which definitely makes timings more tricky.

Welcome to the 'we're not obsessing' (but blatantly will) relaxed approach to TTC!

BlueisthenewGrey · 09/03/2019 07:25

Hi all, can I join, I'm TTC#2. She's 23 months and I'm nearly 39.

It took 10 months with DC1 and I was obsessed. Temp taking, opks, ubinquol, a mountain of vitamins and acupuncture. This time I'm aiming for a more relaxed approached. Grin

I think I'm cd7 and praying I'm one of those who falls quickly for the 2nd but who knows.

I agree with you all, TTC is a crazy process and all consuming. The month I conceived it was my last month of trying before a six month break.

I hope everyone gets their Dec BFP.

Explorers10 · 09/03/2019 07:07

@scarletrose. She is 2 and half. I think yours was also born in July?

Blondie87 · 08/03/2019 22:31

Fingers crossed for BFPs all round!

Scarletrose18 · 08/03/2019 22:31

@chloepd that would be a lovely surprise for your fam!

@explorers10 Funny how stressed ttc can make you isnt it. And I know 4 months isnt long at all compared to what some ladies go through but its hard not to worry. What age is your dd?

@Blondie87 I did the same, obsessing over the opks then obsessing over the tww. At least now with no opks, we wont know exactly when/how far into the tww we are.

@deathbycats what cd are you on?

Hopefully we are all able to have a relaxed March cycle.

deathbycats · 08/03/2019 21:51

I keep thinking I’ll be chilled out and not use OPKs but I end up driving myself daft wanting to know when I ov’d. I think I’ll try to balance it by being chilled about the DTD but use the OPK more for keeping my apps and period/testing dates accurate.

Explorers10 · 08/03/2019 21:39

@blondie87 thanks for the reassurance! It’s really is such a lottery about conceiving! Really hope you get your third. Yep I drove myself crazy with the clearblue opks it kept given me flashing smileys and no static smiley so was stressing me out so no idea when I ovulated

Blondie87 · 08/03/2019 21:30

If it makes people feel better, it took a year to conceive DC1, and then only two months when trying for DC2! There is no rhyme or reason!

OP posts:
Blondie87 · 08/03/2019 21:28

I used OPKs for the first time last month, and whilst it was useful for pinpointing ovulation, I nearly drove myself mad over it! This month I'm going to try and chill out and take a more relaxed approach.

My DC are 2 and nearly 4. I personally don't want a big gap so if I don't get pregnant in the next 12 months I will put any plans for a third away!

OP posts:
Explorers10 · 08/03/2019 20:59

@scarletrose

I think I haven't been as relaxed since 1st month of trying as was such a shock that it didn't work 1st time that caused me to be anxious. Spoken to lots of people on here and it's normal to be trying a while so I am going to try to do relax. I have a daughter. Makes complete sense what you are doing. I heard from people once they are relaxed they fell pregnant. Also my DH is not keen on an Xmas or winter baby so I'm going to be hopefully more relaxed without using opks and doing dtd as and when in the hope that I will conceive

ChloePD · 08/03/2019 20:51

Hi everyone!

Just turned 22, TTC #1, cycle one after coming off the pill in Feb, just had my first period and currently on CD7.

Desperately hoping for a positive this month as we have family visiting from South Africa in June which would be 12 weeks if we conceive this month, so would love to share the news with them in person! FX for all of us. Biscuit

Scarletrose18 · 08/03/2019 20:45

I agree, I think Dec is the perfect month, would be lovely if we all got Dec babies! 🙂

@Explorers10 Thats exactly what I have been thinking!! I was doing opk's and getting a bit obsessed and over analysing every tiny thing these last 3 months and it all felt very stressful, so this month we are trying the "relaxed approach". No opk's or anything just trying to stay chilled and dtd lots but in a relaxed way... if that makes sense lol. And actually I feel its working, I feel much more relaxed so far.

Do you have a dd or ds?
