Ladies who are temp tracking... I have never done this before so just wandering is the peak/ drop in temp noticeable? Or is it so slight it can only be measured with thermometer? This is my first cycle after having my coil removed so all new to this and never really noticed my temp before.

Charlotte9876 · 14/03/2019 07:26

I've had brownish discharge (sorry tmi) on Tuesday/Wednesday which I've not had before. Based on my opk that was 10/11 DPO and based on fertility friend and my temps was 7/8DPO. But then yesterday morning my temperature dropped, and has remained dropped today. I thought that meant AF was on its way now but having just put that data into fertility friend my ovulation date has now shifted back a couple of days instead.

This is my first attempt at temping and while I've got better the second half of the month I wasn't the best disciplined the first half as we were on holiday. So I think I'll go with the OPK dates as that fits also with my CM pattern for the month, wait for AF to arrive in the next day or so and then do better temping next month.

limesoda · 14/03/2019 06:40

@MotherOfShihTzus it’s all good. Apart from insane symptom spotting. I am driving myself crazy. Almost can’t wait for AF just so I can start a good clear cycle and know vaguely what my baseline is. I’ve only got a week of waiting left. Will I have any marbles left? Who knows?

MrsRLM · 14/03/2019 06:18

I think I'm out. My temp has plummeted today and AF is due on Saturday so it's not looking good. Temps did exactly the same thing last month.

Rach1384 · 14/03/2019 05:04

Checked my thermometer last night and got a different temperature so I know it’s working haha. Temp this morning exactly the same for the 5th day in a row. I presume if it was going to be good news it would be climbing.

bitheby · 13/03/2019 23:33

Craving pine nuts this evening. They do contain selenium which can help with implantation so I'm hoping there's something in it. Or I'm a pine nut.

tryingtobeamum8 · 13/03/2019 19:03

Caved and POAS... BFN obvs as wayyy too early.. AF due 25th. When will I learn...

Rach1384 · 13/03/2019 18:47

#MotherOfShihTzus my temp was exactly the same again today so I’m gonna yest my thermometer tonight to see if it’s working haha I’m off for my 21day bloods tomorrow- fingers crossed they show my progesterone levels are ok

StarlightIntheNight · 13/03/2019 17:53

So I have been peeing on ovulation sticks to curb my appetite for peeing on the real deal lol. So far the sticks just detect a rise in oestrogen (the flashing smile face). But that is a sign of period coming I think. As I have gotten that in the past and period came. I am not too hopeful this month. Although, my mind and body likes to play tricks...like sensitive to some smells, nipples more sensitive....but doubt the means squat!

TeapotsLoveYouLots · 13/03/2019 17:22

Jeez I'm having such a sulky day with symptom spotting!!
10 dpo, super sore boobs, cramps in my left ovary on and off, I'm freezing cold, feel like I'm going to come on any second, and I'm thirsty, super super thirsty!!
AF is due 19/3 and I stupidly poas yesterday, knowing full well it be bfn.
I need a slap

Jesspheebs · 13/03/2019 15:56

Yeah i think your right. Wishful thinking! Still keeping positive will just waot a few more days.

Wait a few more days, you never know! Good luck x

ttcAlex · 13/03/2019 15:27

@Jesspheebs Tbh it seems to me that line was behind the double taped dipping end of the strip and I think I also see another one not far away from it. IMO both too far from the control line to be a BFP, especially if they disappeared later. It's early days though, so good luck!
@Mummyofone1234, so exciting, 3 BFPs sounds very promising Smile

So I tested this morning and it was a BFN. With both my previous pregnancies, I had my first BFP at 9 DPO, which is today, so not feeling very hopeful atm Sad

Jesspheebs · 13/03/2019 11:46

Only 8 or 9. Just done a tesco test and it was BFN will wait a few more days.

Mummyofone1234 · 13/03/2019 11:41

@jesspheebs

Looks like a positive. How many days post ov are you?

Jesspheebs · 13/03/2019 11:37

Help! Is this a BFP OR just a shadow. Never used a cheapy test before. The line has disappeared now Confused

Good luck bitheby fingers crossed for you!

bitheby · 13/03/2019 11:25

No. At that stage I was just starting to think about ttc as a single woman and I was panicking about my age so wanted to check I was at least ovulating.

I then paid for all the fertility checks at a clinic (not sure whether that included a 21 day test actually) and all came back clear, including a very high egg reserve for my age, apart from a small polyp.

Then have waited over 18 months to get that removed on the NHS.

Currently in my first ever TWW after a private sperm donation.

Got a positive OPK this month so trusting all ok physically. Will find out after a few goes I guess.

Chips4dinneragain · 13/03/2019 11:20

Hi bitheby

Just went for 7 days before next AF, which was CD20 for me, although sometimes by cycles fluctuate a day or 2. I don't temp as my sleep is erratic, but previousprevious cycles of OPKs were positive for about 48 hours over CD 12/13/14. Annoyingly I didn't use them this cycle, but guessing based on physical signs that I OVd on CD 14. I guess I'll know if it was the right day when AF turns up!

Did you do anything to increase you progesterone levels?

bitheby · 13/03/2019 11:05

Hi Chips

How did you track? I had my 21 day test done a couple of years ago when I embarked on this journey and was just using an app and I think I got the date wrong. My result was similar to yours. Enough to show
I was ovulating but I was disappointed with the figure. Timing is pretty critical though.

Chips4dinneragain · 13/03/2019 11:03

Thanks mother

The results were just from the receptionist but have a gp appointment in a couple of weeks so will discuss it then. I'm taking some supplements (vit c and bcomplex) but my inner sceptic is doubtful they are doing much. Will probably ask about getting progesterone prescribed but not sure whether or not it's something that can be done through the GP.

I've got to repeat all the tests again next cycle anyway so might try the mid-luteal test a day later as I guess its possible I had it too early and didn't catch the peak (clutching!).

MotherOfShihTzus · 13/03/2019 10:50

@Chips4dinneragain hello there! Sorry to hear your progesterone isn't ideal; can you take anything to increase it? Did you discuss your results with your dr?

Chips4dinneragain · 13/03/2019 10:44

BFN here at 9DPO on a cheepie, due to start spotting tomorrow so feeling pretty glum. My progesterone came backback at 26nmol which apparently is normal, however Dr Google tells me its should ideally be 30 or over. So I'm guessing I am ovulating my progesterone is on the lower side of catching/sustaining a pregnancy.

Good luck to all those still in the running, and congrats to those with BFPs!

Nowthenforever2019 · 13/03/2019 10:31

I got the test out the box and everything this morning, but then had a word with myself and put it away again. I'm making up symptoms now. Urgh

MotherOfShihTzus · 13/03/2019 09:59

@limesoda always good to get things off the chest!! Well it def sounds as though you've given yourself every chance with the BDing so best of luck! I have this awful thing where when I ovulate, I always know cos I'm an emotional wreck and am a complete bitch to the OH... makes it hard to BD!! Plus he can get stage fright on the peak days which is infuriating and winds me up even more - putting even more pressure on the key days Confused

I've been horrendous for symptom spotting - even though I know it's the same pre period :( so frustrating!

How are you getting on?

Peachyx2505 · 13/03/2019 09:35

@Estsw18 always around ovulation!!
