Thank God I'm not on my own in my way of thinking.

We haven't told anyone we're TTC and my DP doesn't get how frustrating/stressing the whole planning of the acts are, the grave extent of how unenjoyable the actual acts are, how much the TWW takes out of you, the anxiety and tension caused by the dreaded POAS from 8DPO (even though you've promised urself this month ur not going to test until the day AF is due) and the crashing disappointment when AF rears her ugly head once again!!!

It's actually ridiculous the amount of minutes (hours in total 🙄) per day I sit and think about anything and everything pregnancy/baby related, and the amount of money I have spent on conception tablets, OPKs, pregnancy tests, BBT charts and thermometer, pre-seed, reflexology sessions & God knows what else

And I feel what makes it so much more frustrating/time-consuming is the fact that I don't (am not allowed to) work and I have no kids, so apart from my gorgeous lil Shitzu, I have the whole day to obsess over everything and make myself more anxious/depressed

No joke ladies, I could go on and on here on this rant cos that's only a drop in the ocean

@broodyaf, me too! Although I've given up with opks as they just make me more anxious. We just dtd every two days. It's so planned now it takes all the fun out of it!

Irregular cycles which I attempt to track with limited success so I have ordered OPKs which we used with #1. I think next week will be ovulation time to begin the TTC.

@Broodyaf yes me. I'm so tired from it all. Actually I'm just tired. Yesterday got a flashing smiley but too busy and tired to dtd so we will have to do it today. I don't even want to opk but its becoming a strange addiction
I also got ewcm today I think but it was more yellow than clear which is weird
So fed up of the constant stress of it all, the emotional rollercoaster, the fact that we mainly dtd to make a baby (or not as it turns out) and then we're too tired the rest of the time (and short cycles with days of spotting beforehand don't help either)
Its rubbish. But somehow I can't stop either and will be holding my wee to test this evening too just in case today's the day of the static smiley

Only 2dpo, how will I get through the month?!

Hub is away for work this month so we might not even get to dtd at the right time 🤷🏼‍♀️

I've started Angus castus yesterday so maybe that will help, who knows.

@Broodyaf I was feeling deflated, my cramps are pissing me right off.... so I've stuck on some noughties pop punk, singing away and cleaning. I'm on annual leave this week so don't wanna be sat around thinking too much about ttc xx

Yeah I might as well jump on, but I've a big ole negative head on me this cycle thinking why would it happen this cycle when it hasn't happened the past 26? 🤷‍♀️

Plus I'm CD7 today and I generally ovulate on CD10 and DP is on shiftwork so cant see us DTD much

Anyone else absolutely and utterly fed up to the back teeth of temping, tracking, POAS and above all, the laborious DTD chore?

As u can see I'm in a great mood today 🙄🙈

Hmm. CD13 today. Yesterday had loads of EWCM - neg OPKs (tested mid afternoon and early evening). Today - fertile CM seems to have vanished, but sore boobs, and more cramping. Luckily DTD the night before all the EWCM. I'll give it a couple of days and then assume I'm in my TWW.

Used the cheap OPKs last cycle which gave me a positive and I will use them again this month.

@dragonmummy17 Yes, I've only been testing with the Clearblue in the morning, then using an internet cheapy when I get home from work. I'd forgotten that it says you can test more often after you get the flashing smiley! Will remember that for next cycle, although this is going to get very expensive very quickly. Argh!

@proudmummy88 Still on flashing smiley for 8 days in a row! My evening internet cheapies showed a stronger test line on 14, 15, 16 and 17 DPO (none were actually positive) but today on 18DPO back to nothing! So now I'm thinking I missed the LH surge or I didn't even have a proper LH surge... Can this happen?!

I feel like I'm doing this whole OPK business wrong to be honest. I'm writing this month off as a learning experience. Any words of wisdom for a total newbie?!

Oh I get ovulation pains too. And I am super ahem...excitable during ovulation time. Like a teenage boy shall we say 😲 but I am super nervous about ttc

Hi @bunhead34, we use Conceive Plus too but I've stopped using OPKs as they just made me more anxious and I've given up on reflexology. Cycle 16 for me and cycle one on Clomid, trying to stay positive but it's hard, especially when it feels like everyone around me is pregnant or has just had a baby. Not sure of your circumstances but I'd recommend speaking to your GP if you haven't already. They don't generally refer for fertility issues until you've been trying for 12 months (6 months if 35 yo or over) but referral can take a while so no harm asking the question.

Not a sniff of a pregnancy in that time.
Using opk (although had a break last month), conceive plus, but given up on acupuncture.

Feeling close to giving up tbh. All of my friends are pregnant/just given birth!

@Proudmummy88 I get ovulation pain as well. My OPKs were the darkest around then, not dark like a positive should be but dark. Im now in the TWW!! Keep me sane ladies. May have to get the OH to hide my tests🙈

Proudmummy88 I get ovulation pain quite a lot. Cramping, quite often a pinching feeling on one side. It can be for a few days around ovulation (which is an attractive feeling to have in my fertile period ). Now that I've been paying more attention, I had cramping/a bleed on CD9, and yesterday CD12 I had some cramping. We'll see what the next few days brings!

Can I join please? I currently am on day 4 of AF and am hoping to start ttc this month. Would've gone for March but DH wants to avoid Christmas 😢
