Spring is in the air and it's time for a new thread!

Basically: a wonderful bunch of ladies supporting each other through the TTC journey when trying for a first baby after 35.

Here's hoping we get some spring BFP luck for all of us!! 🍀🐣🍀🐣

It is a lovely thread @birdybird I don’t know how I’d cope without all you lovely ladies 💕.

You must never feel bfp guilt...it’s lovely to see others get their bfp, gives us all hope I’m sure. it’s amazing news and you should feel no guilt just happiness 💐 xx

Catconfusion · 04/04/2019 19:37

Arh thank you @birdbybird and congratulations to you. I remember feeling like this when I was pregnant. So many lovely ladies on here who deserve their bfps too. We'll all get there! Hope you have a very happy and healthy pregnancy! Xx

birdbybird · 04/04/2019 18:44

I don't know if its early pregnancy hormones kicking in... just had a bit of a cry... I think your post @Carley32 that triggered it. Nothing specific you said... just made me realise that this thread consists of a group of lovely women. @VenusStarr hugs and I hope your body heals itself very soon. @CNizzle @BambiOnIce80 @79andnotout @PixieN @Carley32 @beverlymarsh @Laney79 @Catconfusion @WrexhamBuxom will be keeping everything crossed for good news from you all! I've had pangs of envy when others have had BFP's and now am experiencing BFP guilt...!
PS.
@BambiOnIce80 will do the OPK test and post the result. Stupidly forgot to do it a couple of hours ago, even though minutes earlier had reminded myself about doing it.

Carley32 · 04/04/2019 17:20

I’m so sorry @VenusStar thinking of you and sending lots of virtual hugs. 💐 xxx

Congratulations to all the bfp’s Lovely news for you all xxx

Weathergirl1 · 04/04/2019 13:25

@VenusStarr just caught up with your latest update. Thinking of you and hoping you get properly looked after 💐💐

birdbybird · 04/04/2019 12:32

@VenusStarr sorry for your loss :(

tisonlymeagain · 04/04/2019 12:20

AF arrived today, and I am over the moon as it's the first one since stopping the pill 4 weeks ago. I feel I can really start in earnest now! Will be testing with OPKs from CD10 which is a week on Saturday. Just hoping I have a normal cycle.

Russkispy · 04/04/2019 11:24

@VenusStarr thank you. Booked on 16th April. Just a day before my 43rd birthday Grin😱😱🤞🏻🤞🏻

VenusStarr · 04/04/2019 11:18

Thank you @Russkispy, I'm going OK. I don't think I congratulated you :) when is your scan?

Russkispy · 04/04/2019 08:49

@SunStruck congratulations!
@VenusStarr son sorry to read this! Look after yourself
@QuantumGirl haven't heard from you. How are you getting on?
AFM, booked a reassurance scan in a couple of weeks. Midwife and dating scan are through the post too. I won't be joining any antenatal or pregnancy threads and just stick with you guys as rooting for you all and still early days for me. Will keep you posted on my scans etc if you want but otherwise won't bore you with how I'm feeling on a daily basis. Suffice to say this pregnancy already feels different from my first. Anxiously waiting for my early scan after MMC and CP last and this year respectively. Scan falls a day before my 43rd birthday. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 it goes well!

VenusStarr · 04/04/2019 08:29

Thank you all so much 💕❤️ it's means a lot @Pinkywoo @BambiOnIce80 @Kescilly @CNizzle @PixieN xx

PixieN · 04/04/2019 07:47

Oops cramping Grin

PixieN · 04/04/2019 07:46

Congratulations on all the Bfps ladies 🎉😊

So sorry to hear your news @VenusStarr - sending you hugs and positive thoughts 💕

Nothing to report for me and work has been manic, so been a little quiet on here. Still waiting for DH’s SA results, my blood test results and an appointment for tube flushing (can’t remember the technical term this early in the morning!) I think i’ll need to start chasing soon. Af is due in 2 days and no signs/symptoms to get excited about - just a bit of camping which is normal before Af.

CNizzle · 04/04/2019 07:40

@venusstar take care of yourself, sending love & hugs your way. 💕💕

To all the recent bfps, congratulations, wishing you happy & healthy pregnancies xx

Kescilly · 04/04/2019 07:34

Oh VenusStarr, I’m so sorry. Please take care of yourself, you’ve been through so much.

BambiOnIce80 · 04/04/2019 07:33

Crikey- take a couple of days off to do research and miss a plethora of BFP's!! Congratulations ladies! 🎉💐 🎊

And thanks for the grad thread @Kescilly ❤️ Good to know I can surreptitiously keep an eye on how you're all getting on! 🤪😉

@VenusStarr, I really have no words other than you're very much in my thoughts 💙 Sending you lots of cyber love and support. Please don't stop sharing when you want to. You never, ever bring this safe place down.xx

Confirmed this morning... I'm speechless, didn't think it would happen so quickly due to age! Still early days though, need to think of when and how to tell DH 😳

You've all been so supportive and I hope that you'll get your BFP very soon 🥰 I'll hang out in the graduate thread to not take up space here.

Pinkywoo · 03/04/2019 23:08

Yes it's next Thursday, I'm so sorry but can totally understand not wanting to be in limbo anymore, look after yourself.

VenusStarr · 03/04/2019 22:08

Thanks @Pinkywoo 😊 I'm really pleased you're well. Have you got your 12 week scan soon? I think it's over for me, think the miscarriage is starting. I feel a sense of relief that I might be out of this limbo nightmare and I can grieve properly for our little one ❤️

Pinkywoo · 03/04/2019 18:38

I'm good thanks @VenusStarr, the sickness has mostly gone now I'm almost 11 weeks, and those shoes are lovely! Don't ever worry about bringing the thread down, that's what we're here for Flowers

Congratulations @birdbybird @SunStruck and @Ferii!

@Kescilly just spotted your thread on active, I've been thinking about starting one for weeks but was too lazy Blush

Kescilly · 03/04/2019 17:55

Congrats on all the BFPs! I hope no one minds, but I had thought about making a “graduates” thread for a while now so that we don’t clog up this thread. I’ve started one in the antenatal clubs forum, here.

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/3550247-35-TTC-1-Graduates

Feel free to join at whatever stage of pregnancy you are at.

birdbybird · 03/04/2019 14:26

@Weathergirl1 are you nauseous/tired? Have you tried to up the intake of protein? Just read somewhere that it helps...

Weathergirl1 · 03/04/2019 13:42

@Sunstruck the general advice is to use RPE (so how much effort you feel you're putting in) and carrying on as before. So I'm fairly comfortable with doing long steady aerobic work but I wouldn't be thinking about doing a flat out VO2 max session! The book I've got (which I may have mentioned before) is The Pregnant Athlete by Brandi Dion - she competed a Spartan race at 7 months!

SunStruck · 03/04/2019 13:27

@birdbybird @Weathergirl1 yeah I also want to keep up with my training! It helps me de-stress (have a very stressful job), I go minimum 5 days a week and 2 of those with PT. How much is too much you reckon? Or is it safe to continue as long as I feel fine/not too tired?

Getting ahead of myself now, I'm so early I hope mine will stick!

Will miss wine 🍷

Weathergirl1 · 03/04/2019 13:11

@birdbybird yep temperatures are still up but there is a bit of day by day variation. Natural Cycles thinks I'm 6 weeks today (I think I'm a day ahead of that!). GP entered me on the system as LMP date though yesterday 😞...

Not done enough exercise since Friday (when I did a 2 hour cycle ride) as I've been feeling awful over the weekend. I did drag my sorry ass onto the turbo trainer yesterday for half an hour and did feel better for it though so am planning to try again this afternoon. I've got a strength and stability circuit I've been following for months (to sort out imbalances I have) and I've been struggling to do that - the motivation just hasn't been there - DH promised me he'd help me do it this evening though. I'm not planning to stop training (if I feel up to it) - I have a couple of books written by pregnant athletes that I'm drawing inspiration from 😀

I know what you mean about the mixed feelings. At the moment I am not thinking about the tokophobia as it's early and I might not get that far iyswim (and as yet other than feeling crap and sore breasts my body isn't any different). Next milestone to hit is midwife next Tuesday and then I need to think about NIPT testing. My GP was lovely yesterday though - seemed much more excited than me or DH (he's the same as me).
