All first time mums

Sizeofalentil · 02/03/2019 20:08

I'm mid 30s, but out of my new mum friendship group four or more were over 42.

Exploitedteadrinker · 02/03/2019 12:05

Don't forget that multiples are more likely in an older mother!

I was unexpectedly pregnant with twins at 42!

notmy · 02/03/2019 11:58

Will crack on then!

CharlesChickens · 01/03/2019 19:48

Yes, literally the first time we started trying for a second. I was 43 when she was born. So don’t panic. Have some accupuncture.

PastaSauceHoarder · 01/03/2019 19:47

My mum had my little sister (a surprise baby) at 39 and then went on to have my little brother at 42. Two perfectly healthy and happy children! Smile

Not so lucky trying again at 44. Sadly 3 chemicals and a mmc at 8 weeks.

cathyyy83 · 27/02/2019 21:05

wow this gives me hope, I'm 37 and panicking :)

cloudjumper · 27/02/2019 19:32

I had DD at 44 and know lots of women who had their children at 42 and older. Definitely possible

je4852 · 27/02/2019 19:00

Yes, I had my second at 43. A bit of a surprise, but pregnancy was smooth and uneventful, although I was a bit more tired than with my first.

CoffeeRunner · 27/02/2019 18:49

I am 43 & three of my same aged friends have had babies in the past 12 months.

I believe it’s less likely but certainly not impossible!

nogooddeedgoesunpunished · 27/02/2019 18:46

Yes, complete shock no fertility treatment conceived at 45. First and only !

onalongsabbatical · 27/02/2019 18:43

Karigan195 · 27/02/2019 15:00

Karigan195 · 27/02/2019 15:00

I’ll be 42 soon and am 14 weeks pregnant.

Hedgehogblues · 27/02/2019 14:59

I'm 41 and bump is due in four weeks. Natural conception after being told by doctors that it would never happen for me

AmICrazyorWhat2 · 27/02/2019 14:42

Should clarify that all four babies were happy surprises, no fertility treatment.
