TTC after the pill? Ugh!

Hi guys

I’m really new to this and nervous about posting my own thread so please forgive me if I’ve posted in the wrong place!

I came off the pill (cerelle) 41 days ago - 16th January and since then haven’t had AF or withdrawal bleed.

I feel sick every single morning, cramps constantly for a month since coming off, mood swings and worst of all bloated ALL THE TIME and put on over a stone since stopping the pill! (I really don’t have room to do that!)!

Took a preg test this evening and negative.

Please is anyone in the same situation? Feel like I’m going crazy and although my DP is on board he’s more ‘wait and see, stop stressing’!

Hi guys, no real update but I’m now getting creamy CM (sorry if TMI)!, hoping this means I ovulated some time recently - potentially around 2 weeks ago when I reported EWCM? Not sure but hoping AF is on the way. Any news for anyone else?

@TTc2019BabyNo1 are you still getting cramps every day? I get them every single night without fail! Not enough to be period pains but cramps none the less!

Did you not have your usual fake ‘pill bleed’ after finishing the packet?
Don’t worry 20 days isn’t too bad, hopefully AF will arrive soon!

I’ve had a bit of bleeding today and horrible pain but not as much as I would have thought!

Update!! I woke up to some blood today (sorry tmi)! First i’ve seen since my withdrawal bleed on 19th December 😃! Somethings happening!! 👍

Hi @AllTheGlitter ! I came of the pill last september after being on it for 10 years! I had awful stomach cramps, bloating etc for 2 weeks straight. Af arrived in december and luckily now am on a regualr 39 day cycle. So hopefully not to much longer for you =)

No denying it now got my bfp...was only off the pill 2 weeks and I conceived so there is hope and the pill isn't all doom and gloom...I have been on the pill the last 7 years and the mini pill for 3 of those with no periods...just hoping this isn't a chemical pregnancy now and it sticks !

@TTc2019BabyNo1 thank you 😊 thought it was just me my partner said he wasn't sure if he cud see a line it not ! no symptoms just took a test because I'm impatient !

Quite surprised it happened so quick tho still won't believe it until I take a test in the morning

So I'm 10dpo today and couldn't resist but to do an internet cheapy but now I wish I didn't as I'm driving myself mad

It looks like a very faint line to me but not sure what do ye think. I have a first response that I will do in the morning

@TTC2019Babyno1 nothing here unfortunately! Preg test yesterday and today because I’m impatient and two BFNs! Cycle day 52 over here and starting to think maybe because I’m a big girl my periods have stopped due to that but I reckon I’m just being hard on myself as I’ve had some spotting when I first came off.

Hi girls

So 2 days ago I thought I had a tiny amount of spotting when I got up to pee in the morning but I had nothing for the rest of the day or yesterday. I thought maybe I’d been so tired and desperate to see something that I’d just imagined/dreamed it. But the same thing happened again this morning and it was definitely spotting when I wiped! I’ve also had sore boobs and headaches or the last few days so hopefully all this means I’m not dead inside! I have no idea if this will turn in to a period or not but at least something is happening!
I hope you’re both doing ok and trying to stay positive x

Yes I’m guessing I haven’t ovulated either seeing as nothing came of the one time of EWCM. Did a OPK yesterday eve and nothing. Back in the wanting to give up stage until something happens to excite me again! :(

I’m sorry to hear you’re feeling a bit low today @TTc2019BabyNo1. After commenting on this post previously I tried to forget about TTC for a few days as I felt it was getting me down too. I had a withdrawal bleed and it’s been 49 days since so I’ve either not ovulated or totally missed it. Try not to be too hard on yourself. I spoke to my gp who said that it’s normal for someone of my age (29) to not ovulate for a year after stopping the pill which is definitely not the news I was hoping for. Also that the stress and anxiety that goes with TTC can stop you ovulating too. I feel a bit annoyed too though that they are quick enough to prescribe the birth control but they don’t tell you the side effects and potential trouble you could have in future. Like you I’d have stopped taking it earlier than I did x
