Looks like I ovulated yesterday so our timing ended up being OK (my chart is a mess of open circles and discarded temps though so can't be totally sure). Now the tww...

Hopefully this is the month for all of us!

Congrats on the scan Buggles!

That was very nice of AF @Dartmoor! Keeping everything crossed for you this month. What day did you O?

I'm on 11. We conceived last time dtd CD11+CD12 so hope we can do it later. DH is out tonight but under strict instructions not to get too drunk to BD Grin

DartmoorDoughnut · 18/04/2019 14:42

Well we’ve only managed to DTD once this month but it was on CD14 (helpfully AF started on the 1st so easy to keep track of cycle days!) so fingers crossed, I’ve been taking half an aspirin a day as I can’t quarter them so hope that helps/doesn’t do any harm if I am pregnant!

tigsy that’s so sweet of them!

buggles that’s fab news Grin

bentley have fun DTD, glad the sticks progressed to flashing, what CD are you?

Bentley111 · 18/04/2019 06:58

Oh @Buggles1 that's such fab news. I do hope you start to relax and enjoy it now that you've seen the scan 💕 congratulations!

Flashing smiley this morning thank god... panic over 😂

Buggles1 · 17/04/2019 21:26

26th Oct @tigsy, 2 days later than I’d originally thought. We’re v close together!

tigsyboo · 17/04/2019 19:39

Ah @Buggles1 that's great!!!! What is you Due date now?? Mine is 29th Oct.

Those opks are a mystery ..... keep testing!! Xx

Buggles1 · 17/04/2019 17:16

Ha ha that is good @tigsy!

Good luck with the smiley face tomorrow and dtd @bentley

We had our scan today and thankfully everything looked perfect. Little legs were kicking away like crazy... should be fun in a few weeks time if it carries on that way. I’m so relieved though. Can save the worry now for the 20 week scan in early June. I still feel like it isn’t quite real though, like it still isn’t meant to be. Guess I’ll really only overcome that once I have them in my arms though.

Bentley111 · 17/04/2019 17:01

The pic might help 🤦🏽‍♀️

Bentley111 · 17/04/2019 17:00

99.9% certain we missed O this month.
I did a test after a 4hr hold last night - no smiley face so dh said he'd "save his sperm" and didn't want to do it. Thought it wasn't worth arguing about because then we wouldn't do it at all.
Middle one at around 7 this morning - still no smiley face.
Bottom one - just now after a 4hr hold. Still not a flashy smiley.
The lines are definitely getting lighter aren't they?

I usually start getting the "flashing" smileys cd11 (tomorrow) so see what happens in the morning.

EWCM is drying up too.

🤦🏽‍♀️

Bentley111 · 17/04/2019 13:57

@tigsyboo 😂😂😂

Kinsters · 17/04/2019 13:24

3 for 2! Omg 😂 That's too funny.

tigsyboo · 17/04/2019 12:48

@Bentley111 oh I'm not worried about her.... if anything I hope she does the maths and works out this one was conceived while a judge was giving us custody of her Kids! A 3 for 2 if you like! 😂

Bentley111 · 17/04/2019 07:27

@Kinsters Hope he's not back too late!! Hopefully you'll have time to dtd 🤞🏼it definitely looks like you're gearing up to O, I think it was the right thing to discard those temps.

I was mortified but you're right, could have been about CM 🙈

@tigsyboo I'm so thrilled that they're so excited! Don't worry about the wicked witch (what a shit thing to say about the dog too)

Kinsters · 17/04/2019 00:33

Aww tigsy that's so sweet! How old are your step sons?

Omg Betty, that's not too bad - at least you weren't talking about your CM! I am so paranoid about sending messages to the wrong people that I check and double check each time.

My chart has dropped back down and my temp today is my usual "day of ovulation" temp (does anyone else get this? Before I ovulate I nearly always have a day or two, usually two, where my temperature is 36.23 or 36.24). I discarded the post drinking temps because I'm sure they're unreliable. Argh, hurry home DH!

tigsyboo · 16/04/2019 20:11

So we told the step-sons and they were THRILLED!! Little one so chuffed he is going to be a BIG brother!! Went to bed with big smiles!! Obviously their bat-shit crazy jealous mother will try and take the shine off it when she has contact this weekend (like when she points out our dog isn't really their dog, as I had her before I knew them!) but it'll fall on deaf ears as they are chuffed to bits 😊

Bentley111 · 16/04/2019 13:18

I've just sent this to a girl from horses instead of my DH. No real biggie, but she had a thing with DH when they were teenagers. I'm cringing so much right now. Fucks sake 🙈🙈🙈

Awww that's so lovely @tigsyboo let us know how it goes 💕

tigsyboo · 16/04/2019 12:35

Thanks all
Telling the boys later and just told a few friends and family this morning xx

Bentley111 · 16/04/2019 11:03

@Kinsters that's really interesting. I do sometimes doubt the accuracy of OPKs especially as LH has to be released and built up to be detected.

@Buggles - also, just reading up on statins.... our sex life declined after DH's dose of Lisinopril was upped (Sept/Oct time). I wonder if that's something to do with the problem...?

Kinsters · 16/04/2019 10:31

Congratulations Tigsy, how lovely!

Bentley I read a study that showed CM was the most reliable indicator of ovulation. They did ultrasounds on women every day to determine exactly when ovulation happened and the women also recorded all their fertility signs (bbt, opk and CM) and CM was the most reliable indicator. Apparently the last day of EWCM was generally O day (or maybe the day before O - I can't remember) whereas bbt spike and peak LH were often a few days off.

I'm CD14 today and going by CM think I ovulated yesterday (it's gone very creamy). This would be usual for me, I normally O on CD13 or 14. Hopefully I'll get a temp rise tomorrow!

Bentley111 · 16/04/2019 10:22

Oh god please ignore my massive strikethrough fail...!!

Congrats @tigsyboo that's the most fantastic news Grin have you told the boys yet? So thrilled for you. How are you feeling in yourself?

@Buggles that's exactly like us, except if we get a smiley face and he's not in the mood/tired/eaten a big meal, we won't dtd. It's so frustrating isn't it!

Hoping we will dtd tonight - my tests haven't arrived in the post (ffs) so just winging it on EWCM. Tmi but lots last night and this morning so sneaking suspicion I'm O'ing early this month.

@Kinsters that so bizarre. What cd are you on now?

tigsyboo · 16/04/2019 09:57

Had my 12 weeks scan this morning!! 12+1 due 28/10/19. Heart beating fast and wiggling away!! I'm
So in love!! 💕

Buggles1 · 16/04/2019 07:58

Good luck with the scan today @tigsy fx

@bently111 not sure this will help but we have similar problems re low sex drive. We literally dtd on the day the smiley face said we should and that was that, nothing since. I’ve tried to research into statins cause I had heard they could cause it but think there is more to it. I just don’t know what. I’d love to dtd more often but he just doesn’t seem bothered at all. When I got upset after the mcs and he said ‘what will be will be’ I got really annoyed cause nothing would have been if we just left things to hopefully happen naturally. I don’t think they understand how our cycles work and how low a chance there is of getting bfp each month, and then the likelihood of sustaining it. I did try to explain that to DH but it still didn’t seem to sink in.

Kinsters · 16/04/2019 02:00

It's so hard Bentley, don't blame yourself for your DH's low sex drive though.

We don't really discuss future children, it all seems too abstract at the moment - my FIL has been talking about when he gets grandchildren for years though!

My temp went back down today and still no positive opk so who knows about ovulation!

Bentley111 · 15/04/2019 17:05

Mr Betty sounds very romantic Blush

DH is exactly the same. Now the weather is improving, he's going fishing a few times a week with FIL...
"This time next year, I'll be able to take non-existent DS..."

How about we conceive a child before we talk about taking a DS that doesn't even exist yet fishing....?
Obviously missing the point that even if we conceived now, the non-existent DS would only be 3 months old and certainly not going fishing ffs.

BettySwoll0cks · 15/04/2019 15:46

Right in the middle of DtD last month, DH said "so what do you want, a boy or a girl?". I was so upset I felt like saying "I couldn't care less, I just want one that's alive" but I didn't (because it was good timing for DtD) so I just said "you choose"

Good times 😔.
