Hope you dont mind me picking your brains but weirdly feel more at ease discussing my life's troubles with you all than my real-life friends;

I dont know if I am being over sensitive right now.... Mum just informed me that she will be potentially choosing our wedding anniversary for her wedding day! Whilst that wouldn't annoy me alone, what annoys me is that she is choosing the year in which we have already said we are saving up to renew our vows in front of our family and friends (as we eloped) meaning that either 1) it is a race to who sends wedding invites out or 2) I will have to bow down to her and change our date.

She has also said she would rather us not get married in the same year too... which is why I think she is saying she will be taking the same date as us (fyi this date has no importance to her but for us it has always been our anniversary!) as she will know we will have to get renew the vows the following year to keep the date we want.

She also had to throw in a snide comment about how she doubts we will have money saved up by 2021 anyway for a wedding renew.

TwittleBee · 28/02/2019 13:03

edidxb I get that throughout my pregnancies, that strange thick jelly like discharge. I put it down to the mucus plug forming when we are this early and then with DS I did lose my plug almost weekly (its like size of your palm!) But you have to watch it because if it starts to smell, change to green/grey colour and increases then it actually could be BV!

Actually... now I am thinking this spotting is due to my cervix as past week I have been on BV gel treatment... (always bloomin get BV throughout pregnancies too!)

tigsyboo · 28/02/2019 12:58

@Buggles1 I'm sorry to hear you're having such a crap time with the GP
Here it so depends who you get.
A week ago I was dismissed and yesterday with diff gp I was told she would refer me to epu after 6 weeks for reassurance scan. Completing conflicting

@edidxb I'm not sure about mucas plug but keeping fingers crossed for you

@Pegase sending you love xx

Buggles1 · 28/02/2019 12:53

I’ve booked in for two appointments in a row at 8 weeks... helpfully their online booking system won’t let you make a double appointment in one go! I just didn’t want to have to wait that long. Will see what the private scan options are in our area this evening. Fed up of it all. Mentally and physically I would have been better off not seeing the doc at all this morning.

edidxb · 28/02/2019 12:10

Oh @Buggles - it baffles me that there is such inconsistencies in service that you get. It's the same everywhere - same here too. It's down to the person, what mood they are in and how nice they are feeling on that day. Do you have an appointment for 8 weeks or do you have to make one closer to the time?

@Twittle - I am so pleased things seem to have subsided a bit - let's just try and get through to Monday now x

@Pegase I am so pleased you are resting and feeling OK. Crap TV is the way forward. I am now home from work and it's Thursday afternoon and the weekend!! So will choose something good to watch in a moment. I need to try and stay awake and not fall asleep.

I have had some EWCM this afternoon which is quite odd - not had anything like that so far in pregnancy. It was super thick too. I have googled it and half the answers say it's normal and fine and the other half say it's a mucus plug and it's the start of a miscarriage. So I am leaning towards the positive answers and hope it's just one of those things. My boobs aren't as sore the last few days though......although I still feel pretty nauseous and tired.

TwittleBee · 28/02/2019 11:58

Buggles 6 weeks was when I had my booking app so clearly you shouldnt have been seen as wasting time!

Rose thank you x

Buggles1 · 28/02/2019 10:48

I’m only 6 weeks but I was hoping to get the blue folder and the admin out of the way and get some sort of reassurance that I may be able to have an early scan at 8-9 weeks given the previous issues and my severe anxiety. I got none of that... just clear off and come back at 8-9 weeks for initial appointment to get blue folder. It felt like she was just implying I was wasting her time.

Rose68 · 28/02/2019 10:19

@Indreamland I’m so sorry about AF, it is just so shit.

@Buggles1 I really can’t believe your doctor spoke to you like that, it is really not okay. I would be furious! How many weeks are you now? I think it’s quite normal for the nhs not to offer a reassurance scan before 8 weeks following a mc, unless there is a reason, bleeding etc. How many weeks are you? I would go for a private scan now, but also make sure you do get that 8 week nhs scan as well.

@Pegase I had really light bleeding after my erpc too x

@Twittlebee sorry you have to wait until Monday, that’s just so shit. But it does sound positive about the bleeding being less. Keeping everything crossed for you x

TwittleBee · 28/02/2019 09:53

I am so so so sorry and I honestly think it is worth you putting in a complaint to the practice Buggles - it is not okay your feelings were dismissed as hormones!

Buggles1 · 28/02/2019 09:53

Sorry about AF @InDreamland.
Know how you feel re resetting the body clock again @Pegase. Hope you’re feeling better again soon xx
Oh, and what is it with sisters lately! Oh boy.

TwittleBee · 28/02/2019 09:52

Pegase glad to hear you arent too bad considering everything. Regarding the bleeding post ERPC, I was so super light and only bled for 3-4 days afterwards too. Just remember despite light bleeding there is still a chance of haemorrhage so take care of yourself and rest.

edidxb yeah still spotting but it is getting less and less so taking that as a good sign? I remember when I started spotting before the ERPC, after a couple days it had started getting heavier and was full bleeding on day of ERPC so I am hoping it is really just my cervix. MW just said to wait till Monday and see.

Buggles1 · 28/02/2019 09:50

Well my doc appointment was a total waste of time. The first thing she said was that I should have made a double appointment cause there wasn’t sufficient time to run through the forms. I think I called them rather than booking online last time and didn’t even realise they had booked me for a double. I broke down in the room, actually shaking, cause I was so anxious and frustrated by it all. To which she just said ‘that’ll be your hormones’. I almost told her to F off there and then. It’s there total lack of empathy and understanding making me cry, not my bloody hormones!!! She said don’t bother coming back till 8 weeks and if any pain or bleeding in the mean time to call the EPU directly. I’m so angry and frustrated, it sure can’t be helping me retain my baby at the moment.
Seems I have no choice but book a private scan cause the doc is just totally useless and unsympathetic.

Pegase · 28/02/2019 09:35

Feeling not too bad thanks everyone. Keeping pain at bay with codeine but does hurt a bit when it wears off. Don't seem to have much bleeding at all- don't know if that is still to come or the ERPC does such a good job that there isn't much.

Emotionally a bit early to tell but do feel relieved to have body reset rather than have a failed pregnancy hanging over me.

Just resting at home today and watching junk TV!

Sorry AF has arrived @InDreamland Sad

edidxb · 28/02/2019 09:22

@pegase - how are you feeling today? Are you off work for the rest of the week now? When do you have to go back?
@twittle - a day at the beach sounds amazing! But I suppose it keeps your mind off things - are you still spotting?

edidxb · 28/02/2019 09:20

@kinsters that does sound promising with the bites.......
@tigsy - I love house viewing and "shopping" for one! Are you after something bigger or in a different area Hopefully you don't have to look too long.
@frazzle - has there been any further leads for your DP for a job?
@indreamland - sorry the spotting has started. Back to the drawing board for this month. Are you taking supplements at all?

TwittleBee · 28/02/2019 09:14

InDreamland I am so sorry, I know you wanted this before your birthday but I hope you still have a lovely birthday

Tigsy oh so thats good news that there are places you like out there! Market here (Essex/Suffolk border) seems to have dried up, coupe neighbours have given up trying to move now.

Kin ah would be an interesting sign though wouldnt it!

Sorry I have been rather absent, threw myself into a total family day yesterday at the beach. Was so lovely to just get out and stop worrying about Monday.

Kinsters · 28/02/2019 08:38

InDreamland so sorry, CD1 is the worst Flowers.

Tigsy yes, I definitely noticed the mosquitos loved me when I was pregnant. Even with deet on they'd get me just walking down the street which is quite unusual as it hasn't happened before or since. I'll put it into fertility friends as a "specific" but try not to get my hopes up lol. Hopefully you find a house you both love soon! How long do you have until you're six weeks?

InDreamland · 28/02/2019 08:23

@Kinsters it is a head fuck. Hopefully the bites is a good sign, you never know.

So started light spotting this morning. That's me out again. Not pregnant again with my rainbow before my birthday Sad

tigsyboo · 28/02/2019 07:55

Morning everyone

@Pegase I hope you are ok hun
Thinking of you xxx

@kinsters - my best friend went on holiday not knowing she was PG and got bitten loads - usually she doesn't get a single bite - one of the questions the pharmacy asked her in the hotel in Mexico is 'are you pregnant- they like pregnant ladies!' FX!!!

So we went to see 2 houses last night. DH loves one, I loved the other. So back to the drawing board.

GP called
She said if I call her when I'm 6 weeks then she will refer me to epu for reassurance scan the next week. She won't do hcg or progesterone tests until after the scan if it shows any issues.
Trying desperately to be positive but it's just so hard x

Kinsters · 28/02/2019 07:21

It's so nice feel her little body but at the same time I'm just thinking, it's 3am, the room is really hot, you're even hotter and I should be asleep! At least with the cat I can just kick her off the bed if she gets too annoying, I bet you can't do that with your son!

OK so I have the most ridiculous tww symptom! I live in Malaysia, obviously loads of mosquitos (and zika 😫 but I try not to dwell on that). I never get bitten except when I was pregnant and they loved me - I've now been bitten twice in a day! It's probably a coincidence because I'm sure I wouldn't "smell" different to a mosquito at 5dpo. Weird though!

BettySwoll0cks · 28/02/2019 07:03

@Kinsters I think your cat and my DS have been comparing notes. Yawn. I find that disturbed sleep pushes my temps down and alcohol pushes them up .... but then when I conceived DS I was drinking (a bit) and not really paying attention to anything except my Ov date.... wish it was that straightforward this time around!!

Kinsters · 28/02/2019 03:00

InDreamland I read that LP is normally consistent as well and I'd always had a 10 day LP except the cycle I got pregnant. Then last cycle it was 13 days with loads of pregnancy symptoms but no BFP. Suck a mindfuck. I hope it's different for you and you get your BFP though.

Pegase I'm sure I read somewhere that they're thinking of including fertility in sex ed classes in school. I think that would be a good thing. Although difficult for women because it would be a change from the "yes, you can have it all" message which is so prevalent.

Nothing new for me, my temp went down this morning but is still about cover line. I've been sleeping so badly the past few nights I think it probably has affected my temperature. It didn't help that last night my cat decided she wanted to sleep in the bed and she always pushes against me and wakes me up.

InDreamland · 27/02/2019 20:52

@Frazzlerock I am going to try hold out until at least Sunday before getting another FRER out. I hate the disappointment on a BFN - scarred after TTC #1 since summer 2013. Lol, don't wish your life away!

Frazzlerock · 27/02/2019 20:49

I don't know why I said I am 40 😂 I'm actually still 39 until June
