@Twittlebee - good news first! that's fantastic about the scan. I am so happy for you and so happy it seems to be going well. I really wanted it to be OK and thought it would be!

Bad news though - sorry about the redundancy. Do they still give you a package as you are in probation? Will you get a decent payoff to at least give you a few months breathing space. I seem to remember you work in property? Do you think there are many other jobs out there?

@dartmoor - what kind of test did you use today? A FRER?

@ratherbe and @kin in both of my previous pregnancies I had a terrible cold in the 2WW. This one I didn't but they do say your body goes weak as it is trying to put the energy into growing a baby which is pretty cool!

@betty - I am sorry you are feeling like giving up. You must feel so tired if that has been the case for the last 3 years. It has to get better at some point though? Don't give up yet. You got pregnant 3 times last year so it can happen again. You just have to be ultra strict once it happens again and try and rest............easier said than done I know!!

Rose68 · 04/03/2019 14:01

@Twittlebee shit I am so sorry about your job! But wonderful news on the scan! I had a feeling all would be okay.

@Dartmoordoughnut did you take a photo of today’s test?

DartmoorDoughnut · 04/03/2019 13:43

@TwittleBee that sucks about being made redundant Sad I’m assuming due to being in probationary period it’ll be difficult to fight it? Fantastic news re your scan though!! I’ve just realised I’m on your woodland thread, you’ve got shit loads going on haven’t you!

@edidxb how are you feeling? Glad your DH is looking after you Smile

@ratherbeshowjumping honestly as soon as I read that I thought it was a good sign! Fingers crossed Grin

I’m feeling convinced that I’m not pregnant I got a pinky shadow line this morning but in a fit of pique I took the tests apart and I can’t see a line on any of the ones which looked shadowy ... trying to count my blessings but realistically this month was my last shot and if AF turns up I think I’ll be hibernating with a couple of bottles of wine and a packet of smokes for a weekend!

tigsyboo · 04/03/2019 13:24

Oh no @TwittleBee I'm so sorry about your job!!!
Great news re the scan tho xxx

TwittleBee · 04/03/2019 12:55

Money is so tight Yeah Kin - feel like an idiot for having another baby tbh, it's impossible for us to stay in our home and only live on one wage. Really freaking out as have no clue what we shall be doing.

Kinsters · 04/03/2019 12:51

ratherbe colds are clearly an early symptom!

Twittle that's so crap about being made redundant, especially because I remember you said money was tight right now. Are you part of a union at all and is there any way you could contest it? Do you think they selected you because they know you're TTC?

I'm very pleased that the scan looked good though.

TwittleBee · 04/03/2019 12:46

Bad news followed by good news...

I've been made redundant, Brexit was the given reason FFS.

Good news scan went well and been told it's probably an irritated cervix again.

tigsyboo · 04/03/2019 12:20

What was the meeting @TwittleBee?? Xx

ratherbeshowjumping · 04/03/2019 12:19

@Kinsters I'm 5dpo Blush
It feels so wrong to be symptom spotting this early but you actually did have a cold & your mozzie bites at 5dpo so I guess it's completely possible...

tigsyboo · 04/03/2019 12:19

@ratherbeshowjumping I had a stinker of a cold this month - the reason I tested 2 days early at 11dpo was because I really wanted Sudafed as my sinuses were completely blocked but thought I best check..... and sure enough bfp!

Kinsters · 04/03/2019 11:13

How many dpo are you rather? I think it was you that said a cold was a good sign when I was complaining of one at 5dpo or whatever it was!

ratherbeshowjumping · 04/03/2019 10:42

@Twittle hope your meeting goes OK :( fx'd for you. Also, your DH is being awful!! I'd be so upset if mine said anything like that. Absolutely no excuses to make any comments like that regardless of what you've been through or not.

Agree with @Kin and @Dreamland too @Rose, many women continue to have babies well into their 40s. Please keep positive.

First day back to work and feel like I'm coming down with a horrible cold. Feeling achy, tired and a banging head Sad

tigsyboo · 04/03/2019 09:14

Good luck @TwittleBee xx

I'm 6 weeks on Thursday @edidxb

How are you feeling @Pegase xx

Kinsters · 04/03/2019 08:52

Twittle your DH can say he's joking all he wants but with what you're going through and what you've been through those comments are a bit cruel. I hope the meeting is nothing bad.

Kinsters · 04/03/2019 08:48

InDreamland I can relate to feeling like that about work. Its a horrible feeling. I'm sure you know that the MCs were absolutely not your fault and it shouldn't make you feel inadequate. You're doing your best. It's easy to say that to someone else and hard to think it yourself though.

I love Venice! We went a few years ago and it was lovely to just wander around.

Rose I agree with InDreamland, you've still got a chance if it's what you want. Plenty of women have babies in their 40s and I think it must be a good sign that you've had children before so your body knows it can do it.

TwittleBee · 04/03/2019 08:47

also HR and my Director have scheduled in a meeting at 9,30am with me.... shitting myself... I am still on probation which doeskin finished till April! Feel like its gonna be bad news!

TwittleBee · 04/03/2019 08:46

Good morning all, sorry for my absence - life has been pretty busy with mum's engagement, DS having his HV review today, decorating, getting ready for our holiday tomorrow etc!

Frazzle I am so so sorry how low you are right now and it is totally understandable to be that low - you have had such an emotional rollercoaster of a TTC journey over past few years and your DP really has not been as supportive or understanding as he should be. I relaly hope you have some real life support.

Kin cannot deny that line on the FRER! FX for you! Certainly do another one in couple days!!

Betty I think sleep really must be a massive factor in TTC - I didnt get a BFP (granted ended in CP) until the cycle DS slept through for us! I really hope you get some good sleep soon and some solution is found for your DS (FYI, my DS now only sleeps till 3.30am- 4am so we haven't quite cracked it yet either!)

edidxb so glad your DH has stepped up btw! SO good when they just do it without needing to be prompted!

Yeah so scan today - had more spotting yesterday and the worse cramps too, I was bent over with them and DH relaly did look rather concerned.

But DH also makes comments like "you sure you want another one" and "oh cant wait to have another one to have even less sleep..." - he says he is joking and he will love our next DC as much as DS but it hurts so much when he says stuff like this.

InDreamland · 04/03/2019 08:36

@Rose68 there's still a chance for you.

@Kinsters we are going to Venice for a few days after my birthday. Congrats on the line! Fx for a sticky bean!

@twittlebee good luck today. Hope everything is okay.

@frazzlerock Flowers

I need the break next week so much. It's not just the 2 mc's that make me feel so worthless and inadequate, I just feel so un-valued and taken for granted and used at work for a number of reasons, everything is getting me down and I just need to escape. Feel like running away from everything.

Rose68 · 04/03/2019 08:13

Good luck today @Twittlebee, I’m sure everything will be fine.

There can’t be many of us left now! I don’t count cause I have pretty much given up. I’m not sure what I am still doing here really.

Buggles1 · 04/03/2019 08:07

Looks like a very faint line there @Kinsters. Fingers crossed.

Rose68 · 04/03/2019 08:06

Congratulations @ Kinsters!

@Betty it’s so so hard when they don’t sleep, I got the t-shirt with DS1, thankfully it is now a distant memory, but it took years of hell. We eventually went to the doctor because there had to be a reason, he was referred, and diagnosed with joint hyper mobility which causes pain at night. We knew he was in pain at night because by then he was 4 and quite capable of telling us (screaming at us) that his legs hurt. x

ratherbeshowjumping · 04/03/2019 08:00

@Kinsters the mozzies were right! Tentative congrats! That's a great line for only 9dpo 😬

@edidxb sorry you're feeling awful but it sounds like your DH is being fab x

@Frazzlerock Thanks for sticking your head in, thinking of you xxx

Good luck today @TwittleBee 🤞🏼

Oh @BettySwoll0cks that must be such hard work 😕 ttc aside, you must be permanently feeling awful.

BettySwoll0cks · 04/03/2019 07:09

Congrats @Kinsters that's fab!

I think I'm going to stop ttc. My DS had me up every 30-90 minutes during the night last night, I basically haven't slept in 3years and I'm wondering why I can't have a healthy pregnancy? I must be insane. I hope I haven't conceived this month there's absolutely no way it wouldn't end in a miscarriage. Fuck this.

DartmoorDoughnut · 04/03/2019 06:30

@Kinsters that is definitely a line! I’m still chasing shadows at 10dpo!
