Hi all

Sorry been quiet!
I have been checking in but with some ladies still struggling I didn't want to post gushing about being pregnant!

We had our down etc tests back all negative which was a relief!!
I'm currently 16 weeks and getting big!!
Really tired but that's the only negative so I'll suck that up!!

Still in the midst of a house move - in a never ending chain of dickheads!! Move date was provisionally agreed by all to be Friday.... we still haven't exchanged!!!

@Kinsters I hope the bleed is nothing to worry about my dear, fx for you.

@Buggles1 Have you considered the harmony test??
I'm 36 and mine came back 1:10000 (not sure of your age).

Hope everyone else is still ok and staying positive. Has anyone heard from @Frazzlerock? Xx

Kinsters · 15/05/2019 12:36

Bentley I'll come back to the January 2020 thread if I get to 12 weeks! I'm just being stupid and superstitious but I didn't post on there for ages and then pretty much as soon as I posted I started bleeding. It was such a stressful 24 hours. I don't know if this experience will soften the blow if I do end up miscarrying.

That's good the evening sounds helpful Betty, that is an awfully long time to carry on waiting though, especially given all the waiting you've already had to do due to NHS fuckups. Hope you get a good amh result.

BettySwoll0cks · 15/05/2019 12:03

It's a stress minefield isn't it @Buggles1 and @Kinsters? I hope things go smoothly for you both from here.

I was at the Cambridge IVF info night last night. I've made a private appt to see a consultant who specialises in recurrent mc but even that isn't til mid July, so still hanging around. They are very IVF focused (obviously) and in truth I hadn't considered going down that path but it was interesting to hear about how egg and sperm screening along with embryo selection could help to eliminate a number of factors that might be causing my mc's. It's not guaranteed to work though, and the procedure sounds pretty savage, so just one to think about for now. I did pay for an AMH test yesterday though so it'll be useful to know what my ovarian reserve is looking like.

That's great news on the scan Kin, I'm so pleased. Wanted to message you to see if you were ok but didn't want to upset you if things weren't good.

Guess it was inevitable - such a fantastic support, I care about all of you so much.

Thanks Buggles. Oh gosh, what a worry for you! Congratulations though, I'm glad you're in the clear. Can't believe you're almost 17 weeks.

Definitely seems to be a boy thread!

Kinsters · 15/05/2019 11:53

Congratulations on the clear scan and amnio and yay for another boy!! It's interesting that so far I think everyone on this thread has/is expecting a boy!

Buggles1 · 15/05/2019 11:48

Hi, sorry I’ve been off thread for a while... I’m reading even if I’m not getting chance to respond!
Congrats on the bfp @Bentley. Was really chuffed to see that when scrolling through.

Thinking of all those still trying as well. I’m sticking with this thread cause I really hope to see everyone one of us through to a happy conclusion.

We’ve had a bit of a scare over the last couple of weeks. I flagged as high risk of downs after the 12 wk scan so we were offered an amnio last week. Sadly it wasn’t until the point they were about to stick the needle in that they told me my age placed me at 1/100 (my results were 1/91) so it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as they had made out. Anyhow. We had a full scan at 16 wks and the amnio, results came back a couple of days later - thankfully all clear. It was such a relief. So I’m now almost 17 wks and I really hope the rest of the journey will be stress free. I’ve had enough of the worry and the upset now. Although my dad tells me to expect to keep worrying about them for the rest of my life now, oh boy!

We seem to have a common theme on this thread... we’re also expecting a little boy.

Kinsters · 15/05/2019 11:44

I guess this thread was always going to go quiet eventually because it's not like others can join in. It was a very good source of support in the early days post MC though.

I had another lot of bleeding and it had clots in it so I was terrified it was another MC and brought my scan forward but the baby's there and has a heartbeat. Bleeding seems to have stopped for now but I'm pretty worried it'll start again.

Bentley111 · 15/05/2019 10:56

Hi @Dreamland how are you? Sorry you've not had any luck this month, when is AF due? How are your antibiotics going?

@Betty, any news? Hope your evening went/goes well.

Really sad this thread is going quiet. Sending lots of love to everyone x

InDreamland · 13/05/2019 18:42

Hi ladies. Hope you are all ok. How are the pregnant ladies? Hope all is going well.

@BettySwoll0cks I'm 10/11 dpo and using ICs to test early, so far only stark white, not even squinters. It really sucks, TTC was so emotionally painful, TTC after mc is just pure shit. Hope you find the fertility evening helpful.

Kinsters · 10/05/2019 02:18

Glad you liked it Bentley some of the episodes are better than others but generally they're pretty good.

TTC is really tiresome I agree Betty. It's so frustrating watching other people getting pregnant at the drop of a hat and having no worry that it'll go wrong. Having said that, of my friends in real life who I know are TTC none of us are having an easy time.

BettySwoll0cks · 09/05/2019 12:40

10-ish dpo @Bentley. I think it's a lost cause this month, apart from feeling a bit jaded today after last nights bottle of rose (oops) I dlike not feel at all pg any more. Think I was just run down with a cold tbh.

I'm really fed up of this whole process right now. Going to the fertility info evening at Cambridge next week so hopefully that will help me to feel a bit more positive and less like giving up entirely

Bentley111 · 09/05/2019 08:36

How many dpo are you now @Betty? Hoping it's just too early to pick up!

@Dartmoor how are you getting on?

@Kinsters tried a podcast whilst riding this morning...the narrators voice is so dreamy... but aside from that I really enjoyed it, thanks so much for the recommendation! I'm so looking forward to my ride tomorrow Grin

DartmoorDoughnut · 09/05/2019 06:38

Fingers crossed it turns positive @betty

So can’t believe you’re almost 20 weeks @edidxb Grin

Glad everything settles down @Kinsters Flowers

Kinsters · 09/05/2019 01:41

Sorry the FRER was negative Betty, I really hope it's a false negative.

BettySwoll0cks · 08/05/2019 21:38

20 wk, sorry @edidxb

BettySwoll0cks · 08/05/2019 21:37

Well done @edidxb that's great - here's to the 30 wk milestone

I FRER'd this morning. Big fat white nothing. Cue mid week bottle of wine and the last episode of Line of Duty on iplayer. Winning.

Kinsters · 08/05/2019 06:27

Congratulations on the scan edi! And yay for reduced Ramadan hours! It's only the Muslims and civil service who get reduced hours here (which is fair because they're not taking lunch breaks). We're still fine to eat and drink as normal though because there are so many non-muslims. I do feel bad for the Muslim employees at the sandwich shop I go to though, having to serve food and drinks while they're fasting must be so tough.

Oo Bentley if you've never listened to true crime podcasts you should try case file (it's on Spotify) - it's my favourite and I'm a bit obsessed with the narrator's beautiful accent (he's Australian).

Still no more bleeding, I'm just counting down the days till the first scan. Dreading/looking forward to it in equal measures.

Bentley111 · 07/05/2019 17:14

That's the one @Kinsters - I did feel a little creeped out working home alone today...! Have never tried a true crime podcast, will have a look at those.

Congrats on the scan @edidxb - can't believe you're nearing 20 weeks already! Ramadan must be really hard - are you not "exempt" because you're pregnant? I bet it's uncomfortably hot as well 😕

edidxb · 07/05/2019 15:36

Sorry been a bit absent recently as I went to Qatar with work last week. Just been catching up now.
Congrats @kinsters - really hoping the spotting is just one of those things.
@dartmoor - sorry it hasn't come through to anything but sounds like a chemical as I saw your line and there was one there......
@betty - I read "It starts with an egg" over Christmas and it is so interesting. I do think it can work. Glad your appointment at the clinic went well. Hope they can do something for you.
@bentley - sounds like a good Bank Holiday! I wish we had had a day off this weekend but never mind!
Ramadan has started now which means we get shorter working hours which is nice. You can't eat or drink anywhere public which is hard at work but I only have 6 hours to get through.....and once I am home it's business as usual! And then we'll get some days off for Eid once Ramadan finishes in June.

I had my 16 week scan on Sunday this week (actually the day I turned 17 weeks but all good!). Everything was fine thankfully! Still so narvous each time even though I am now growing a bump!

I have my 20 week scan in 3 weeks time so that's the next milestone and then I feel my DH and I can properly discuss and plan etc. At the moment we have both still been so tentative.

Kinsters · 07/05/2019 14:37

Ahh! when will you test?

That's the Ted Bundy one right Bentley? I don't think I could bring myself to watch it! I listen to true crime podcasts sometimes but I spend too much time home alone to watch anything scary!

BettySwoll0cks · 07/05/2019 14:13

Just had a little spotting .... 9dpo 😬🤞

Bentley111 · 07/05/2019 08:18

Hopefully that's a good sign @Betty - sorry you're feeling rubbish but hoping that turns into good news!
Glad your DS had a nice day!

BettySwoll0cks · 06/05/2019 19:35

I feel dreadful, for pretty sure I'm just coming down with something actually. Oh well. Soldiered in through DS's birthday party - was lovely - now I'm going to get him into bed then crash out myself Brew

Bentley111 · 06/05/2019 17:33

Hope everyone's had a lovely bank holiday. We've just watched Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil & Vile, not one to sit around on a sunny day in front of the tv but it was absolutely fab. Definitely recommend 👏🏼

Bentley111 · 06/05/2019 17:31

Tentatively crossing my fingers for you @BettySwoll0cks that sounds promising! When will you test?
