@BettySwoll0cks what is it with men?! He needs to apologise and do it fast and actually make an effort rather than just sulk.

BettySwoll0cks · 12/03/2019 19:15

Urgh @tigsyboo same here. My DH says really hurtful stuff the whole time and then either says he was joking (when he clearly wasn't) or that I'm oversensitive. Top drawer twattery in my book.

@InDreamland I'm so sorry your DH did that, and isn't decent enough to recognise your hurt or to apologise. That's really rubbish. I really hope this doesn't cast a shadow over your whole holiday Thanks

InDreamland · 12/03/2019 19:15

@tigsyboo he had better be sorting his blasted pride out fast as we're supposed to be heading to the airport in 15 mins and still not said anything. I'm sick of feeling like I'm not important enough to even have any attention paid to.

tigsyboo · 12/03/2019 19:10

Oh my @InDreamland what a dooch!!
I think the defensive is a blokes natural reaction to being in the wrong. My DH (frequently short for dick head!) does that all the time. I'm sure he realises how his inconsiderate act has made you feel and a genuine apology will be forthcoming once his pride takes a backseat xxx

InDreamland · 12/03/2019 18:33

Thanks @Twittlebee.

He hasn't even said anything. He's just gone all defensive rather than apologise and try to make it up to me. I am so so hurt.

TwittleBee · 12/03/2019 18:14

I am so so so so sorry InDreamland I have no words. I want to wish you a happy birthday but I feel that the "happy" part is something that's not happening at all for you today. Sending you love and hope and so much bloomin luck Flowers

InDreamland · 12/03/2019 17:45

@Rose67 I'm so upset. Just cried. Told him to cancel restaurant as don't feel like going out for dinner now. Like I wasn't already feeling like shit today. I'm so hurt, he couldn't even bother to read the card he was buying me. I'm a mother to 2 dead babies and he has to rub it in on my birthday.

Rose68 · 12/03/2019 17:38

@Kinsters I hope you are feeling better after a good nights sleep. I tend to suffer from migraines too, but they have been better recently, which could be the acupuncture.

@Buggles1 that’s great news about your sister! What an awful time she must have been through. If you can’t get a scan on the nhs couldn’t you pay for a private one?

@Tigsy, is your scan on Friday? I’m sure it will be just fine x

@Indreamland I cannot believe your DH has done that! I have no words! He will have to make it up to you very quickly seeing as you are off on holiday! I hope you have a fab time, holidays are good for conceiving. x

InDreamland · 12/03/2019 17:21

Thanks @tigsyboo.

DH gave me a Mother's Day card by accident instead of a birthday card. Like I wasn't already dreading Mothers day at the end of the month. Does he not read what he's buying in the shop? Really upset Sad

tigsyboo · 12/03/2019 17:18

@buggles how far are you?
My gp referred me for early scan due to anxiety
I said the epu told me last time to get booked in with them for an early scan and not to go private as they aren't as reliable and the dr just said 'ok' and booked me in. I'll be 7+2.
On a November due date group and 2 ladies today are out due to bleeding, and another with test lines getting lighter which we all know isn't good news. I feel like Friday isn't a happy day, I'm so worried it'll be deja vu 😩

Happy birthday @InDreamland enjoy the hol!

Xx

InDreamland · 12/03/2019 17:05

Thanks @Buggles1. Good news for your sister. Can you tell the midwife at your booking appointment that you're really anxious because of history and then you might be referred for an early scan?

Buggles1 · 12/03/2019 16:51

Happy birthday @InDreamland. Hope you have a lovely holiday.
My sister just got in touch to say her detailed scan with the consultant went ok. They said nothing to worry about despite the initial concerns. So much worry for nothing but I suppose it is best they investigate if there is a concern.
I went to the doc yesterday. As suspected they won’t scan early, regardless of history. I do have a midwife appointment in for the 21st though so that is a bonus.
Hope everyone else is doing ok.

InDreamland · 12/03/2019 14:26

Thanks @Kinsters. Hope you sleep well and feel better in the morning! Then some kaya toast for brekkie, mmmmmmmm.

Kinsters · 12/03/2019 14:17

Happy birthday InDreamland! Even if you don't feel like celebrating much I hope you can have a nice day off, dinner out and a lovely holiday.

A milo ice would be so perfect right now but I don't have any milo in the house 😭. That's actually what they gave me after the erpc surgery, a jam sandwich and a glass of milo. It tasted amazing! Going to go to bed and hope I feel better in the morning.

InDreamland · 12/03/2019 13:35

@Kinsters thank you. Hope your migraine goes, try a glass of Milo ice.

Today is my birthday and I'm now home alone. Don't feel like celebrating as I have nothing to celebrate. Since my last birthday I've had 2 mc's. CD13 for me amd smiley still flashing on OPK but also had EWCM this morning. Busy day though, went to gym and had massage this morning, done 1 load of laundry and another is now on. Gotta pack now as DH taking me out for dinner then we're heading to the airport to stay in a hotel before our flight in the morning.

Kinsters · 12/03/2019 11:25

Rose nice to see you. Hope you're doing ok? I didn't see my Dr in the end. I was feeling so down on Friday that I couldn't face going on Saturday and now DH is away. I'm waiting for him to come back so we can go together.

InDreamland hope you enjoy your holiday! I'd love to go back to Venice one day. We might catch ov because actually I got my days wrong and he's back CD15. My ovulation dates have ranged from CD12 - CD16. In the process of arranging a diving holiday for mid April though so I wouldn't want to get pregnant in March and not be able to dive (especially if I'm going to miscarry again).

You're all right that I shouldn't put my life on hold for TTC. Tbh it's not just the TTC, I feel like my life is on hold until we can leave Malaysia. There are things I love about living here but I'm such an outsider.

tigsy, keeping everything crossed for your scan! How far along will you be?

edi I'm not even pregnant and get hit with the mid afternoon yawning fits. Between pregnancy and jet lag I feel like I've been in a daze since October!

I've got a migraine and feel awful. The only thing that gives (temporary) relief is eating cold dairy products, especially ice cream, but I'm really trying to cut down my sugar consumption. Might see if a glass of milk helps.

BettySwoll0cks · 12/03/2019 06:22

@ratherbeshowjumping saw this and thought of you 😉

Morning all Brew

Hope everyone is ok, will try to catch up!

tigsyboo · 11/03/2019 16:40

Hi all
Nice to see an influx of messages!

I'm just so nervous at the min. Can't help but thinking my symptoms are very minor and nothing that gives me confidence. Also they fluctuate all the time, I was exhausted the end of last week, but today I feel bright as a button!
Feel queasy rather than nauseous and usually when hungry. Just feel like Friday scan could break my heart again and I don't think I'm ready for that.

@Rose68 glad you are still here 👍🏼
@ratherbeshowjumping - the fridge thing would annoy me... DH did it with the freezer and slimming world meals - couldn't order a small amount / check the room in the freezer first so ended up with 10 ready meals and enough room for about 4... then it was 'we need to make some room' ... no, we don't throw stuff away the rest of us need to fit your stupid impulse purchase in!!
@TwittleBee that really sucks with the job. Did you have to leave straight away? Did you get any pay?

InDreamland · 11/03/2019 16:30

@Pegase so sorry, I knew I'd missed someone out. Sorry! How are you? Seeing babies is so difficult isn't it - I really struggle with feeling constantly surrounded by babies, prams and pregnant women everywhere I go, why are they always everywhere on the tube? Hope you get your BFP and rainbow soon x

InDreamland · 11/03/2019 16:25

Hi ladies, sorry not been on over the weekend. Just been really busy and for some reason exhausted (nope not pregnancy symptoms sadly - only on CD12). OPK is still showing high so waiting for the peak - hopefully in the next couple of days.

@Rose68 we're not away yet, fly out early Wednesday morning. I am off work though as took the whole week so I had time to get some bits sorted that I don't normally have time for - including fixing my coat zip which needed stitching back. Glad you're still on the TTC wagon, I know you're being realistic but I still believe it will happen for you x

@Twittlebee so sorry so much is being thrown at you at the moment. Fx the market picks up soon for you and you find something.

@Tigsyboo great news about the house. Hope the majority of work can be sorted in your second trimester when you should have more energy and bump isn't too big.

@Ratherbeshowjumping I'd be super irritated too about the fridge and FRER. Hope that you're still in for this month. How many DPO are you?

@BettySwoll0cks sorry DS has been up in the night again, hopefully though he will settle. What is it with the NHS, I agree it just takes forever for anything to happen. Hope your referral comes through soon, can you chase them?

@edidxb it's a good sign you're so tired (I think). Have you gone for any early scans? Enjoy the school play!

@Kinsters CD16 may just be in time to catch if ov is CD15 which could happen. I agree with @edidxb that you should really consider still looking for a new job, one thing I have learnt is to not put my life on hold. I really wish I'd taken this advice sooner but it could have been worse and I have done some great stuff since deciding not to put life on hold just in case we got pregnant …………….must admit though, as soon as I started having more fun we got pregnant, just sad we lost the baby and the next one. Sadly life cannot always be planned and you just gotta do what you gotta do and if baby comes along things will work out x

Sorry if I've missed anyone.

Heard some sad news today that a friend today has started her third mc - it's just so unfair and I'm angry for her. I just understand why this happens to good people. Like me she is TTC #1. This really sucks.

TwittleBee · 11/03/2019 13:46

The yawning fits are awful aren't they edidxb ! DH tries to keep me up until 10pm each night as he wants to watch something and I end up falling asleep on him by 9.15pm so miss whatever is on!

It's Town Planning, so yeah property/construction. I would love to stay in the industry seems I've spent so long bloomin getting qualified for it! But there's nothing out there. I am already signed up with a few recruiters but they've said there's nothing really out there atm, they've noticed a real slow down due to Brexit too. Plus I would need part time hours so that restricts it even more.

Feel so close to tears constantly but staying strong so DS doesn't see me down. It's hard because I have bouts of depression and anxiety, I'm not on my meds due to pregnancy and so bloody struggling. Just can't believe how much bad luck we've had over past 6 months, just grateful we have a baby on the way but feel awful I can't provide for my family

edidxb · 11/03/2019 13:22

@tigsy, @twittlebee - I am now 9 weeks and I am still exhausted. I am going to be by 9pm at the latest and I usually have a yawning fit half way through the afternoon. I still feel nauseous and have the metallic taste back in my mouth. Still hoping that it is all a good sign.

@Rose68 good to see you still with us.

@kinsters I think you should continue to look for a job even though you are TTC. I think you have to keep on ploughing forward with life rather than putting it on hold. I am 37 and I do wish that I had been TTC 10 years ago rather than leaving it until now. However, I am pleased and happy with all my promotions and job decisions that I made in the last 10 years - even though I would like to get out of teaching now!

@rather - I do hate wasting a test. Are you still waiting for tomorrow now or will you crack today and test anyway?

@twittlebee - I really feel for you with the job hunting. Do you want to stay in your industry (was it property?) or do you fancy a change. Are there are recruitment agents for your industry that can look for you?

I am staying at school tonight to watch the school production. Not quite sure how I am going to stay awake but will do my best. I decided that I couldn't wait until 9pm to eat but forgot to bring dinner with me. So I ordered some mexican on Deliveroo and I have just scoffed a quesdilla with guacamole and some tortilla chips. I keep swinging from being massively hungry to feeling really sick so hope I haven't made a mistake by scoffing it all down. You always order more on deliveroo than you need. If I was at the shop I wouldn't have had the tortilla chips, but because some man was coming to deliver the food to me, I feel bad and order more. Ridiculous. Before I moved to Dubai I don't think I had ever had delivery food but it's just too easy here. I ordered at 445pm and by 5.05pm I had a freshly made quesadilla in front of me!

Right - school play time!

TwittleBee · 11/03/2019 12:26

Hello all,

Sorry been absent. Got back from our Paris trip Saturday - was such a lovely time away and so nice to be away from reality for a while.

Oh Rose I am sorry you've got to that point where that's got to be your realistic view.

Rather - oh my that would have really pissed me off tbh, pretty stupid for him not to realise a fridge is needed for food and not just beer. Alsp why wpuld all the beer need to be kept cold! Just bloomin keep 2 in there tops and refill as he takes! And urgh about the FRER on top of all that!

It's tricky though Kin it's like you can't put your life on hold when TTC but same time what else can you do?

Oh tigsy I'm still needing at least 9 hours sleep a night now and grab naps if possible at 13 weeks! Is awful feeling that drained.

I've spent yesterday and spending today job hunting. I've had my LinkedIn switched to looking for a new job but had no interest. Seems like there's nothing out there that I'm qualified to do atm! I've applied to things I haven't done before and cleaning / bar work too. Feel like it's hard to explain why I'm going from being a Manager in my industry to wanting to be a part time shop assistant etc though! Surely it will make recruiters think I've done something bad in my industry?

Rose68 · 11/03/2019 11:26

Hi Ladies, I am still here, I think we are still carrying on ttc at the moment but I’m not expecting anything to come of it. I’m trying to be realistic.

@Kinsters how are you doing? Did you make it to the doctors? What did they say?

@Tigsy, how are you getting on?

@Pegase I hope you are recovering okay, I’m so sorry you had to go through it all again.

@Ratherbe Have you tested today? Sorry about the wasted frer, they are much cheaper on amazon.

@Indreamland Are you on holiday now? If so I hope you are having a fab time.

@Betty Sorry DS’s sleep has gone backwards a bit. From what I remember sometimes it was 2 steps forward and about 20 back. He will get there eventually.
