@Buggles1 deffo the right decision!!

I had a private scan this morning and midwife booking in apt this afternoon - I didn't feel that I could face the booking in without knowing everything was ok, I know had a scan 2 weeks ago but time DRAGS!!

I'm 8+4 but measuring at 8+5
Saw the heartbeat going good and fast, they said they don't measure the rate but certainly looked more than 2 beats per second 💕 got a pic too! CRL was 20.9mm if anyone is a statistic lover

Knowing everything is looking positive and with a picture in my bag, We decided to go and tell my mum and dad, mum was absolutely thrilled and really positive about stuff which was great, given her a real focus other than her cancer 💕

Booking in apt was dull as dishwater... a million questions I could have filled in at home and blowing in a carbon monoxide meter x

Rose68 · 25/03/2019 18:51

@Buggles1 well done for booking the private scan, I think it’s definitely the right decision. I don’t know how you have managed all this time without one. x

@Indreamland I’m so sorry about AF, it sucks doesn’t it. I think it’s worth testing for NK cells, I agree with the ‘always wondering’ issue. Why doesn’t the doctor recommend it?

Buggles1 · 25/03/2019 18:25

Sorry about AF @indreamland... sadly some people will just never understand how heartbreaking and all consuming it is. Forget them, deal with things as you feel you need to. X

InDreamland · 25/03/2019 18:05

Fx for tomorrow @Buggles1.

AF has f'ing shown up. I just feel shutting out the world but I can't, I have to pretend that everything is fine because I have been told by a few people lately that I just need to get over it and move on! WTF!!!!! I have lost my only 2 babies in the past 9 months and been TTC for almost 6 years. I am so angry and hurt.

Buggles1 · 25/03/2019 17:49

Decided to give in and go get a private scan tomorrow. I couldn’t cope with not knowing any longer. Fx

InDreamland · 25/03/2019 08:15

@Kinsters he has had another sample for that sent off. Hopefully get the results this week. I'm still considering testing for NK cells even though doctor says she isn't recommending it. If I don't I'll always be wondering. It's good your GP is running some tests. Hopefully this is the start of getting answers and then something can be treated.

@Buggles1 have you had a bleed? I was told symptoms come and go when I was pregnant with my first. Fx that all is still ok and you are just lucky with a healthy pregnancy but have few symptoms.

So AF due today, possibly tomorrow. Feeling crampy though so think this month is still not to be - I can't help hoping for a miracle though.

Buggles1 · 25/03/2019 06:21

Don’t be sorry @ratherbe, it makes total sense to feel bad, chemical or not.
I’ve been a bit quite myself lately cause we’re passing the 9 wk mark where we had the last mmc. I hope I’m just being paranoid but my symptoms appear to have gone again, just like last time. I had more nausea this time around but that has tailed off, bloating gone, boobs not sore anymore, not needing the loo at night. Only thing still giving me grief is the pelvic girdle pain which set in very early on.
We haven’t got a scan until 17th April, I’d be 13 wks by then. Would go for a private scan but DH is taking me to Madrid on Wed till Sun for my birthday and I don’t want to mess that up by confirming this has all gone to shit already. Just hoping it doesn’t try to evacuate while on holiday.

Glad to hear you received getting testing, even if it isn’t giving any clear answers yet @indreamland. It’s so hard cause in one sense you want them to give you something definitive to constructively work with but that could bring your world crashing down whereas ‘unknown’ is frustrating but at least you have some sort of hope. I fully expect to be on the same road as you very soon. This whole ttc/pregnancy malarkey is mental agony.

Kinsters · 25/03/2019 01:11

InDreamland that's annoying that nothing has come up as conclusively the problem. Is you DH getting the dna fragmentation test done? I can't remember if you had that already.

I went to see my Dr this morning. She said normally they do investigations after three miscarriages (not including chemicals) but agreed with me when I said I was worried how long that would take if I kept having chemicals. She did a scan and thought my lining looked thin for 5dpo (I don't think she really believed I'm 5dpo).

Anywah, I'm going back next cycle pre ovulation and she'll do a more detailed scan and confirm to herself that I actually am ovulating then I guess she'll have me come back a week after that and see what my lining is doing. So a good start I guess.

InDreamland · 24/03/2019 14:37

Hi Ladies. Sorry I've not really been on for a week, been really busy since getting back from holiday last weekend. Had NHS gynae consultation appointment, all bloods for clotting, antibodies and blood sugar are 'normal'. ………………….so yet more 'unexplained infertility' despite having 2 natural conceptions and losses last year. I'm at my wits end. Hopefully will have more results for DH next week from private clinic then we can get an appointment with them too. I'm currently on cycle 4 post mc#2 and I think 11DPO so means AF is due tomorrow with my 12 day LP. Definitely don't feel pregnant so fully expecting AF to show.

@ratherbeshowjumping sending you lots of hugs!!!

@Kinsters goodness that is a proper TWW with total unknown.

I'm gonna go try catch up on everything.

Hope you're all well x

Kinsters · 23/03/2019 04:45

I think you guys were right and I did ovulate so definitely out this month! I went to see my Dr but should have checked whether she was working cause she's off this Saturday and next. Going to go and see her on Monday instead. I've got a notebook ready and everything lol

tigsyboo · 22/03/2019 17:21

Sorry you're struggling @ratherbeshowjumping
I understand what you mean about not knowing what to say. Just do what is right for you and DH for as long as it takes.
@Kinsters looks like u ov'd to me!
Hope everyone else is doing well xxx

TwittleBee · 22/03/2019 16:34

Betty good luck with those results coming back, hopefully gives some sort of answer but one that can be fixed so you have a game plan.

So sorry the CP is hitting you so hard rather - I really hope this less intense cycle helps you. Sounds like it is already.

So unsure Kin ! Really gonna be a proper waiting game for you!

Kinsters · 22/03/2019 14:43

We did it this evening so CD15. When I got the 36.48 temp on CD14 I assumed I must have o'd CD13 but then my temp went down today so I was less sure.

Sorry you've been feeling down about the chemical. I found it really tough as well. I tried to take this month as a month off but I can't bring myself to not temp. I actually ended up finding it really stressful not temping over Christmas.

ratherbeshowjumping · 22/03/2019 14:18

Hope everyone is getting on ok... so pleased all the scan results are looking good! 👏🏼👏🏼

ratherbeshowjumping · 22/03/2019 14:18

Looks like you have o'd to me 🙈 what day did you dtd?

Sorry I've been so quiet recently. The chem hit me really hard, & I literally do not know what to say to anyone anymore.

I've taken a weeks sick from work to get my head around everything 🤞🏼 fingers crossed I'll start feeling a but better soon.

I've decided not to temp/use OPKs this month & not have a month off as such, but just "see what happens." Actually is really refreshing not to be obsessed for a few weeks.

Kinsters · 22/03/2019 12:51

We weren't going to try this month and I thought I'd have o'd already but then DH came back and we couldn't resist 🙈 not sure if I've ovulated or not.

Hope everyone's trundling along OK x

The July 19ers - The rollercoaster continues, scream if you wanna go faster
BettySwoll0cks · 21/03/2019 07:48

@edi I agree the book is fascinating. I have ordered £150 of supplements 🙈 but it will probably only help to a certain extent because DH just won't make the lifestyle changes recommended. I bought him supplements at the same time as I got my enhanced pre natals, I am over halfway through my second pot, he is a quarter of the way through his first. He just doesn't get it. Makes me really cross. His sperm sample results are due back next week so we'll see what they say, although that won't say anything about the chromosomes which is really what you're trying to tackle with the suggestions in the book 🤔 But it might reveal something that gives him a kick up the arse, you never know.

Kinsters · 20/03/2019 15:02

Yay edidxb, congratulations on the positive scan! Will you find out the sex from the NIPT or keep it a surprise?

edidxb · 20/03/2019 11:51

Hi all.
@betty I purchased "it starts with an egg" just after the last miscarriage and before I went on my holiday before Christmas. I read it all in about 2 days and found it so interesting. I started on different supplements and others which I though about taking I realised didn't do anything. I think it's a pretty cool book which can make a big difference to some people I didn't go as far as cutting back on all plastic for example but did think more about it.

I am suffering from a rubbish cold currently. I am on day 3 and I just feel horrendous. I really want to go home. Its 4pm so not long to go anyway.....

I had my 10 week scan today. Like the last one I was so nervous but everything is fine. It's the furthest I have ever got in a pregnancy and the most I've seen on a scan so it was pretty cool. I saw arms and legs moving. I go back in 2 weeks for my 12 week scan.......

I had my blood taken for the NIPT today too. @tigsy I'm not sure which one it is. Just one was offered to me and it gets sent to Germany for testing I should get the results back in 10 days apparently.....that's another hurdle to cross!

A bit like @twittle I am trying not to post too much about pregnancy and I have felt so unwell I have not been able to do much most evenings but I have kept up with everything.

Rose68 · 19/03/2019 22:09

Hi Ladies, I’m just trying to catch up!

@Betty I’m sorry about AF arriving, I know you said you didn’t want it to happen this month, but I’m sure it wouldn’t really have mattered if you had had a couple of drinks during the

@Kinsters I have dived a couple of times, the first was great with proper training, the second there was no training, we were taken out on a boat and there were a few instructors who each took one person at a time down, they held on to you all the time and I hated it.

@Indreamland I hope you had a lovely holiday, FX for DH making it up to you very soon.

@Twittlebee I’m so sorry about what DH said to you and about your job situation, that must be really tough. I also think he is being quite unfair.

@Ratherbe I completely get why you are starting to resent DH. Could you try talking to him?

As for me, I am plodding on. Nothing exciting to report, I’m feeling quite stressy, probably because I have some friendship issues going on with some Mum friends at school. 😩

Kinsters · 19/03/2019 13:04

I'll have a look for it Betty, I've heard loads about it but not read it yet. I'm sure there's lots more I could be doing.

I guess it's a good thing you can start a new cycle as you didn't feel good about this one, AF always sucks though x

BettySwoll0cks · 19/03/2019 12:43

Shame about this cycle @kin. Focus on the holiday!! Have you read "It Starts with the Egg"? I'm sure a lot of the ladies on this board will have, but my copy arrived yesterday. I'm astonished by the statistics in the introduction alone about the percentage of our eggs that are likely chromosomally abnormal or otherwise non viable and her suggestion that you really can make a difference to this through lifestyle and supplementation. Since I still haven't had my referral through from RMC (GP letter went before Christmas) I am going to start following the 'advanced plan' from the book.

AF arrived overnight. And so a new cycle begins!!

Kinsters · 19/03/2019 11:09

Positive OPK this evening so I expect I'll ovulate either tomorrow or Thursday. I thought I'd probably ovulate before DH got back (Friday) and we'd planned not to try this cycle and booked a holiday which I can't be pregnant for but I still hate missing a go. What if this cycle is the cycle my one good egg is going to be released? My charts looking really nice as well with stable and low temperatures.

Kinsters · 19/03/2019 00:54

That's so annoying Betty. I know everyone says that luteal phase is supposed to be consistent in length but mine definitely isn't! Even fertility friends has now come up with a message saying my cycles are too irregular to make predictions.

InDreamland glad you had a nice time off even though it sounds like DH hasn't redeemed himself.

rather diving is the one thing that I absolutely love about living in Malaysia. There's a lot that I hate about being here but the fact we can take a long weekend and go diving in the tropics is just amazing. I'd love to try diving in the UK one day though - I've heard there's some great dives up in Scotland and that you can dive with seals off Norfolk and dolphins off Ireland.

Sorry that you're feeling rubbish. I think it's unsurprising that you feel some resentment to your DH. He just needs to do one thing in the baby making process and him not being committed to that must be really annoying. Is he one of the ones who doesn't "believe" in fertility science? I can't remember whose DH's are like that!

BettySwoll0cks · 18/03/2019 16:37

Has anyone seen my AF? Seriously. I am never late - but I'm 2 days late. Even got some creamy CM now (sorry). My body simply hates me 😭
