Congratulations @heartvshead 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 First baby of the group-amazing! Hope you are recovering well!

I’m 39+2 here and can’t wait to have baby now! I had some mild period pains last weekend and got my hopes up that that was the beginning of something but clearly not! Trying to be patient!

I haven’t been keeping up with thread so will have to catch up now but hope everyone else is doing ok xxx Thanks for thinking of me @heartvshead 🥰

Mooey89 · 23/10/2019 08:11

Lovely name! Congratulations! X

agteacht · 23/10/2019 07:38

Oh wow @HeartvsHead HUGE congrats!! Yay a little baby has come out of our group! And a beautiful name.
And what a quick labour!!!

How are you feeling??

So tiny, I had a growth scan to go and with 6 weeks to go apparently the baby is measuring 4lb12. So now at expecting some sort of 9lb horror 😬😂

@HeartvsHead massive congratulations to you! 💕 glad that everything seemed to go quite smoothly! Blimey she must be a tiny!

HeartvsHead · 23/10/2019 00:34

Just to update anyone that is still looking at this thread...

Baby Francesca arrived 22/10/2019 at 4.07pm. Little girl of 5lb15. Got to the hospital at 2.45pm so was rather speedy!

Hope you are all well!

HeartvsHead · 15/10/2019 15:27

@Scottish1 thinking of you as D-day approaches!

I'm 37+3 now so also on home stretch!

HeartvsHead · 19/09/2019 10:37

@agteacht there are certain risk factors that if you meet they will test you for GD. Family history, BMI, PCOS etc. They might also test you later if your bump grows large.

@JadeSB glad all is good. I had a midwife appointment at around 16 weeks and had just had a D&V bug and was still barely eating or drinking and my wee sample looked liked I had put neat orange juice in the pot! (Was quite a challenge to pee at all!) Still tested ok though even though it looked so wrong!

Lauraliverpool · 18/09/2019 16:53

@agteacht thank you me too! Xx

JadeSB · 18/09/2019 11:48

@agteacht

JadeSB · 18/09/2019 11:48

Isn’t it just! I’m afraid I haven’t quite mastered the arts of peeing in them little pots yet!😂 and all good, was just told I need to drink more 🙂

agteacht · 18/09/2019 11:25

Hahah pregnancy is so glamorous isn't it @JadeSB
Have become an expert at peeing in those pots 😂
Hope it's not an infection!

I arrived at the hospital at 7.45am for the test at 8, had to fast overnight. Didn't see me until 9.30!!! Took blood, drank a drink and now waiting for second blood sample to be taken. Then going to eat whatever I can find in hospital cafe!!!!

OP posts:
JadeSB · 18/09/2019 11:02

@agteacht I haven’t been tested for that yet so may well be due to the pcos, I’m just sat in the doctors with a urine sample in my pocket (sorry if tmi! Haha) urine has gone super cloudy so I was wondering if I have any kind of infection 🙄 all fun and games ey

agteacht · 18/09/2019 10:43

Sitting in hospital at the moment doing gestational diabetes test. Not sure if everyone does it? Think may be because I have PCOS.

A very long process anyway, hopefully it's all for nothing!!!

@Lauraliverpool I know your BFP will come along very soon! X

Lauraliverpool · 16/09/2019 20:42

@HeartvsHead, good to hear from you too! Thanks, hopefully be joining the pregnancy club. Hope you are doing good! Xx

HeartvsHead · 16/09/2019 20:31

@Lauraliverpool good to hear from you! Fingers crossed for you x

Lauraliverpool · 15/09/2019 18:46

Hi girls, I'm still here! We've been trying so far not a whiff of a bfp but hopefully it will be soon. Hope you're all ok. Xxx

HeartvsHead · 14/09/2019 20:39

@agteacht I did the NCT course with my first almost 3 years ago. Still see most of them now on a weekly basis! I'm more or less sorted, got most big stuff from first time so just been washing seat and pram covers etc. Had to buy some more baby clothes as turned most of my daughters newborn stuff into a teddy! Will wait and see if boy/girl before getting anything else though.

@Scottish1 it is a charity that runs loads of courses etc. and a lot of people do their antenatal courses alongside/instead of NHS ones.

@Helensss glad all seems to have settled down. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Scottish1 · 13/09/2019 23:17

Thanks @agteacht 😘

Not sure what NCT is.... Googled it-is it a children’s charity? All organised more or less so can’t wait now! Will post a picture xx

Helensss · 13/09/2019 22:24

Thanks for asking @agteacht it stopped actually and I still have all the preg symptoms! Yay I’m 6 weeks on Sunday so will speak to the dr next week and hope I can get an early scan, and just try and stay calm, thank you xx

agteacht · 13/09/2019 22:20

How you doing now @Helensss?

It really is common, that's why I think it's not as bad as it seems, if my experience is anything to go by. I had what I can only describe as a very heavy period at around 10 weeks, lasted about 3 days. So if it's just spotting I would keep holding your nerve, in about two weeks you should see a heartbeat on a scan, maybe even from 7.5 weeks xx

OP posts:
Helensss · 13/09/2019 07:32

@agteacht haven’t had anymore overnight and my boobs are still sore, i should be 6 weeks on Sunday, so scared! Strange as bleeding is meant to be so bad but it seems it might be more common that we think? 🤞🏻 X

agteacht · 12/09/2019 23:38

@Helensss definitely call doctor or go in if it will help you. There won't be much they can do but it does reassure.

Brown spotting I also think normal, I had a mix of light pink bleeds, heavy red clotting and dark brown discharge like spotting (sorry TMI!!) at different points.

Hold on in there x

OP posts:
Helensss · 12/09/2019 22:31

@agteacht ahh thank you that sounds reassuring! I have had some darker brown spotting tonight which has put the fear in me but I’m hoping I’m just one of those people! So lovely to hear your success though, I’m only nearly 6 weeks so not sure if they can do anything at this stage, might phone the dr in the morning anyway xx

agteacht · 12/09/2019 21:27

Sorry - Milly!
But Millie too 😂

I also can never find this thread. Have had to keep a tagged email now and go back through that so I don't lose it again!

OP posts:
agteacht · 12/09/2019 21:26

Ooh @HeartvsHead and @Scottish1 you are really getting close now both of you! Millie is a beautiful name @Scottish1.
I am planning an Irish name whether it's a boy or girl but trying to find one my husband can pronounce and can work in East London!!

Have you both organised yourselves much yet? Did you do NCT?

@Helensss I had bleeding on and off all the way up to 12 weeks. Even ended up in hospital once because it was so heavy. I'm sure I bored everyone on here with all of it 😂 but everything was fine each time. I really think bleeding of some sort is very normal in first trimester. I too had had a miscarriage previously so it was very frightening but I think it happens more than anyone tells you. If I go on to have a second child I will just expect it now. For what it's worth from week 12 on to now (week 28) I haven't had any at all. Sending you best wishes.
