10dpo what is my body doing?!

Good morning all, I'm 10dpo and I had brown spotting at 6dpo only when wiping and horrendous cramps in the evening (might be IBS related though), more pinky/red spotting on 7dpo and cramps and was convinced my AF was starting a week early. I went for a run so popped a tampon in as sometimes it starts mid run, took it out when I got home and it had brown and what looked like creamy cm on it, no more for the night. 8dpo just a weird sensation in my stomach, not cramps but hard to explain, same again on 9pdo and the tiniest dot of brown spotting in my underwear. 10dpo and nothing at the moment but I'm just so confused - waiting for AF to start for days and days is exhausting! I'm fine if it IS AF, I just want to know!

Additional information: I've had a stinking cold for over 2 weeks, currently a sinus infection so have had bad headaches and feeling run down. Also been super emotional the last few days and not very hungry until this morning and now my stomach won't stop rumbling. I've been bloated for days and also I'm now a bit constipated whereas (TMI!!!) I am usually quite loose, thanks IBS! AF is officially due Thurs/Fri.

Not really sure what I'm asking but just needed to get that all off my chest!!!

Depends how you think he will take it @amehh?

Can you run through your current signs/symptoms/cm so that i can match all mine up and hope and pray mine are the same online for a BFP like you? :)

amehh · 20/02/2019 18:02

@Louise392 do I pretend I didn't do this one? Or do I say tomorrow that I took one but just wanted to be sure in the morning with him? I'm a bad liar and I'm bloody shaking now. Oh god

Louise392 · 20/02/2019 17:59

Yey!!!! Its a BFP!!! Congrats @amehh

Do your Frer with DH tomorrow morning and shock him lol.

amehh · 20/02/2019 17:55

@louise392 @mistermagpie

I'm a nutjob, I've peed on the Poundland one - am I nuts? This is at the 5 minute mark that it says. Oh bugger, I tested without DH I feel bad - what do I do now?!?!?!

10dpo what is my body doing?!

I was further along by that point, probably more like 20dpo but I had had positive pregnancy tests by then (lots of them!) and was just using opk's because I'm mental!

I reckon you're pregnant...

Louise392 · 20/02/2019 16:44

Dont blame you @amehh I am doing my first one in the morning then ill wait til after af is due saturday, if that comes and goes then ill try one again.

amehh · 20/02/2019 16:36

@Louise392 I'm absolutely not peeing on the FRER unless I'm 99% certain, they were so expensive! I honestly don't know what's happened to me this afternoon haha

@mistermagpie I have definitely been out of sorts and if I haven't got cramps I have flutters in my tummy (kind of like butterflies when you are nervous) constantly. Maybe I'll POAS tomorrow morning, I've never been good at holding a wee in the day because I make an effort to drink lots every day! Don't suppose you remember what dpo you were when you got the opk line do you?

mistermagpie · 20/02/2019 16:20

An ovulation test will give you a positive for pregnancy, I know this as I used them for my last pregnancy when DH banned me from buying more pregnancy tests! Mine looked like that and I was definitely pregnant, that baby is two next month...

Louise392 · 20/02/2019 15:32

Lol @amehh your like a preggo testing shop :)
That is why i am waiting as the frer are more expensive and i dont want to have to buy more of them lol

amehh · 20/02/2019 15:28

@Louise392 I honestly don't know what I was thinking Grin I've got my FRER, a superdrug own and a Poundland own so maybe I'll wee on the Poundland one tomorrow or something (don't tell DH!), I want to save my FRER for when I'm pretty certain though

Dont blame you @amehh I have just been to town and sainsburys thinking ill pick up my frer on the way home and forgot! Hubby going to get them on the way back home/ from gym for me now.

What you like haha! I have seen some posts saying they have done a opk and its been positive and then tested on a hpt and its also positive so could be a bfp :)

amehh · 20/02/2019 13:42

Turns out I'm a crazy person after all! Before I have left to go to town, I've dipped a bloody opk (because why not?)....now what does THIS mean?!?! I know it's not quite positive but it's the darkest negative I had all month iykwim? Hellllllppppppp!

10dpo what is my body doing?!

amehh · 20/02/2019 11:46

@Louise392 my DH is the same, never brings it up so I don't tend to either but last night we just had a small chat about it (and by small it was probably 2 minutes!). I remember last month knowing AF was going to start because I was spotting but it just wouldn't get going so I went for a run and bam, there she was. I haven't really spotted much in a few days now and I'm not as crampy but definitely not feeling right in the tummy area either.
I've decided being home is a nightmare with me googling so we are going for a mooch in town, I know I'll buy the tests today because it would be silly to have to go back on the weekend but I'll not wee on them, I swear!

I'm 12dpo and keep reading of sore/veiny boobs being a big thing but mine are just the same pancakes they always have been! Can't remember them being too bad when I had DS though, I just had terrible backache for the entire pregnancy - got off pretty lightly I think!

Hi @amehh I am good thank you, still have a headache this morning though that has not gone off much over night.
Boots have said my FRER's are ready to collect after 12 but i am going to wait til tomorrow morning i think as then it will be FMU and another day and dpo past.

My husband is so laid back about it he doesnt even ask and when i speak about it he doesnt much listen, think its because he doesnt want to get his hopes up either.

Due af in 3 days and last month i had brown spotting the day before so time will tell but its regular always on the same date 23rd each month.

I know what you mean, you have more time think about it and go and poas when you are at home, i am a wedding florist so most of my work is at weekends so i am glad that the kids are off this week keeping me occupied all day.

amehh · 20/02/2019 10:31

@Louise392 how are you today? Still holding out to test? I finally let some of my craziness out to DH last night and we both agreed waiting until at least Saturday would be good as I would be 1 day late then.....so why am I still thinking about tests?!?! ARGH. I blame half term and not being at work

OP posts:
Louise392 · 19/02/2019 21:00

@amehh No that is true and will hopefully be that little bit stronger too.

I use ovia and glow but they both tell me different things lol, ovia tells me to test on thursday, 2 days before af is due.

My boobs are still hurting, they only hurt for 7 days last month and that was up til the day of af whereas this month they have hurt for 9 days so far and there is stil 4 days to go, hoping that is a good sign!

amehh · 19/02/2019 20:07

@Louise392 I'd use fmu if I were you, plus an extra day never hurt! I don't have any tests so not for me tomorrow either and just trying to resist buying some!

Do you use any apps? I use FF and it recommends a test NEXT Wednesday!!! Um, no way would I let AF be 5-6 days late before I tested haha

OP posts:
Louise392 · 19/02/2019 19:30

I don't know @amehh as by the time i get them it won't be with fmu, should I wait til Thursday morning?
You testing tomorrow?

amehh · 19/02/2019 16:08

@Louise392 are you going to test tomorrow?

I've got a horrendous lower backache today and tearful again, why are pre-AF and bfp symptoms so similar?! I'm not due until Friday but don't think I can take this feeling crappy every month if this is just standard AF!

OP posts:
Louise392 · 19/02/2019 14:50

feel terrible @amehh, when i got up this morning temp was down a bit to 35.8 and when i wiped this morning i had 2 red blood spots and browny yellow discharge then wiped an hour later and 1 more spot, nothing since, now got a banging headache :(

ive ordered 2 frer to pick up tomorrow from boots

amehh · 19/02/2019 14:45

@Louise392 snap! I won't go on bc until I'm finished with children now but after that I'll definitely be back on, I miss being able to know what was going to happen when! Instead I'm covered in spots around my chin, emotional and just generally off balance a bit. Some people don't like taking bc but apparently I thrive on it!

How are you feeling today? And @LondonKez? I've predictably been thinking about buying tests all day but have resisted so far and DS doesn't want to go out this afternoon so no chance now haha

OP posts:
Louise392 · 19/02/2019 09:00

Me too @amehh i loved being on the pill, no periods and having to watch out incase it appeared, no spotting was great, will defo be going back onto it once i have had my last baba.

@peachyx2505 I also have a 16 y/o DS and a 14 y/o DS from a previous relationship, when my DD came along 6 years ago the boys were so good, they were only 10 and 8 at the time and they are very close to her and protective, I am TTC #4 for a friend for DD as there is such a gap she feels a little alone sometimes, the boys are all about Xbox and staying in their rooms now, Teenagers! So dont worry about age gaps at all :)

Peachyx2505 · 19/02/2019 08:14

Only CD5. I was just being nosey and discovered the chat about age gaps 😂

🤞🤞 for you ladies who are testing soon xx

amehh · 19/02/2019 07:43

@Louise392 poor you! I definitely felt off for the first month off the pill but I'm also in the process of being diagnosed with IBS so I didn't know what was making me feel worse! I think that's settled down a bit now and it's more hormone related this month. I even miss the pill a bit just because I felt pretty normal on it!

@Peachyx2505 ah that's lovely :) my brother and I are 6 years apart but we aren't close (but we are VERY different people!) Where are you in your cycle Peachy?

OP posts:
Peachyx2505 · 19/02/2019 07:36

Aww thanks ladies! There's 7 years between my brother and I and even though he wasn't around once I was a toddler, he fussed over me as a baby! I think the age gap will be lovely as DS1 is so caring with little ones. He's also asking for a little brother or sister... mainly to play football with 😂

Good luck to you all xx 🤞
