Hello!

I've just turned 24 and me and husband have just started TTC first baby. Thought that it would be good to have a thread going with a few people in a similar situation! Very few of my friends are in the same situation as we got married early and now thinking of babies whilst lots of friends are still at uni :)

Anyone one to join a group discussion with how things are going?

Hi everyone 😊 hope u don't mind me joining!
I haven't read through everything cos there's so many comments but I have noticed that there's been a few bfp's on here so congratulations to u all! 🥳
I'm 27
Cycle 2
10dpo
Cd29
Flo and Fitbit predicted AF for today but I'm thinking it'll be around 8th as I didn't ovulate until cd19, does everyone agree?
I've been getting sharp, pricking sensations very low down and today I've had backache so was expecting AF but all that was there when I went to the toilet was a load of creamy cm (sorry tmi 😳)
Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated 😊

@L0205

It sounds like pregnancy can go so many different ways with symptoms! Sorry that it's getting you down ☹️ possibly it's just a phase and it will calm down? I'm starting to be able to eat a lot better but I also find that I feel hungry in my tummy a lot but without an appetite which is a weird feeling! So I make sure I have things I can snack on throughout the day, mini cheddars seem to be good! Otherwise I start to feel sicky if my stomach feels empty. No sickness yet though 👍

I've just woken up from a nap even though I had a good nights sleep last night and feel tired a lot! Work has recently cut my hours until September which I'm actually glad about as I can rest more.

I haven't heard anything about a scan yet but the midwife said I will get a letter, how long did you wait for yours? I'm hoping it's a date my husband can easily get off work for!

I hope you're doing well other than feeling constantly hungry! My sister has invited us over tonight and wants me to try a new drink she has bought so it will be fun to wriggle out of that one ... she has wanted me to get pregnant for ages and spots everything 😂

@JadeSB that's good! I'm sure the bleeding happens to loads of women during the first trimester.

@lovesT you're so lucky!!! At least you didn't have an appetite, I'm hungry ALL the time and I've put on weight 😔 I know I'm supposed to gain a little bit of weight but I've put on more than I should and I don't know what to do cos I'm literally hungry every 2 hours. I could eat 3x 3 course meals a day AND snacks! I've been trying to control myself but it's so hard, never been so hungry in my life 😩. I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow and my dating scan is booked for the 15th and I can't wait!!!
My bump is so hard to hide now and people at work are starting to notice it :/ I have a feeling it's a boy!

What would you guys like to have boy or girl?

lovesT · 01/07/2019 15:17

@L0205 wow so exciting! I went for my booking appointment on Friday, looooads of questions, some blood tests and a urine sample 😊👍 I should be getting a letter soon with my scan appointment.

Still have painfully sore boobs, very occasional cramps and get very sleepy a lot 😴 my appetite basically vanished too but I'm glad that it's slowly coming back (I usually love food!) I actually got teary the other day over not enjoying my pesto pasta (one of my faves) which maybe shows I'm emotional too 😂

Would love to hear how everyone else is doing? Any updates on where you all are?

@L0205 yeah seems to have stopped now, had my first midwife appointment yesterday and she didn't seem too concerned about it, which is reassuring

L0205 · 26/06/2019 20:20

@JadeSB aw that's great! Has the spotting stopped now? I read a story the other day about a pregnant woman who had spotting for the first few months of pregnancy and that they told her it was because her womb was stretching and bleeding and that it happens to a lot of women but it's not dangerous at all :)

JadeSB · 25/06/2019 22:25

I'm 8 weeks Sunday and only signs I'm visibly showing is my boobs, they are busting out of my bras already 😅 had an private early scan on Saturday as I had a lot of cramping and spotting last week but sonographer said everything was looking good so far 🙂

L0205 · 25/06/2019 21:33

@lovesT omg so exciting!! That means you ovulated early right? I still haven't received my blood test and urine results, but I have an appointment with my midwife tomorrow and apparently she will have my results with her.
I'm really shocked because I thought I was bloated but I'm really not gassy at all and I go toilet everyday (sorry tmi) and then I noticed my tummy felt quite hard and I did some research and apparently some women just show earlier than others, but it's mainly water weight. It's definitely more real now lol now I know I'm deffo pregnant :'D

lovesT · 25/06/2019 21:17

I'm doing okay other than being so tired! Basically needing to nap everyday after work 😴 I have my booking appointment on Friday morning and also after having bloods taken last week I am apparently more like 7 or 8 weeks? So confusing! Haha

Any other updates from anyone?

@L0205 wow it must be very real for you then! I think I'm almost too sleepy for it to sink in still haha 😊 i hope you're doing well with everything though

How's everyone doing? Little bubbas doing ok? Anyone showing yet? I'm gonna be 10 weeks on Friday and I'm showing already!!! Won't be able to hide my belly for much longer :/

JadeSB · 18/06/2019 20:27

@lovesT yeah I suppose it's better to be safe than sorry, enjoy your evening! Yeah I'm doing okay thank you

lovesT · 18/06/2019 20:25

@JadeSB that's interesting! I've had them before (I think due to anxiety) but this afternoon it's been almost every other beat with a few breaks where it clams down... nhs 111 told me to go to hospital so here I am waiting with my husband ... a fun night out 😄👍 oh well better to be safe ... hope you're doing okay?

@lovesT I had heart palpitations like crazy last week, felt like my heart was going to burst out my chest at one point! but haven't had them this week, apparently where ours bodies our producing up to 20% more blood our heart is doing extra beats to get the extra blood around the body!

lovesT · 18/06/2019 17:21

@L0205 that's so exciting! Must have been soo lovely 😊

I've just called 111 and waiting for a clinician to ring me back because I've got heart palpitations ... I have had them the last few days in and off but this afternoon they have been more frequent an noticable. Apparently this can happen with changing hormones in pregnancy but want to be sure!

Hope everyone is doing well whether TTC or pregnant 😊 xx

@L0205 a little spotting through the night, but because the cramps have still subsided I'll wait and see how I go still

L0205 · 17/06/2019 22:51

@JadeSB oh that's good then! Keep us updated!

JadeSB · 17/06/2019 22:44

@L0205 I'm going to see how I go, cramping has got lighter and less frequent this evening and haven't spotted since this morning, but if it's gets worse then I'll go

L0205 · 17/06/2019 22:40

@JadeSB to be honest if I were you, I'd go to the EPU first thing tomorrow morning. It might be nothing, because a lot of women experience cramps and light spotting during pregnancy, but if you are worried and want reassurance just go to the hospital hun

JadeSB · 17/06/2019 22:28

@L0205 just over 6 weeks

L0205 · 17/06/2019 22:27

@PT123 sorry I didn't read your message properly! You haven't had a period for 8 months? Were you on the pill? The same thing happened to my friend she didn't get her period for months! You could go doctors and they give you pills to induce your period, that's what my friend did :)

L0205 · 17/06/2019 22:23

@JadeSB I had some cramps a few weeks ago too and I was so scared! I've also read that a lot of women spot during pregnancy, it could mean the embryo is just getting settled in the womb. How far along are you?

L0205 · 17/06/2019 22:20

@PT123 i was 25 when I got my copper coil removed last year July and I got pregnant early May this year so don't stress! It takes roughly a year for your body to go back to normal so keep trying and it will happen. I was stressing about it for months and the one month I didn't try I got pregnant, just don't think about it too much :)

JadeSB · 17/06/2019 22:03

@L0205 after reading your post this morning, I've booked an early scan for Saturday as I've had a lot of cramping the last few days and a little spotting to, hopefully I make it to the scan, would love to hear it's little heart beating! 🙂

I’m 25 and ttc #1
Stopped contraceptives 8 months ago and still no sign of any period. Can’t help but feel very worried now.
Lots of pregnancy announcements around me too, just can’t wait for the day I can do the same.
