So my AF has arrived today but looking forward to having another go at TTC for a baby in November 2019.

Cycle: 4
Age: 34
CD: 1

Anyone else want to join in the same position as we try to get through this next cycle together?

Hi ladies. Still lurking here to see how you are all getting on. I'm keeping fx for you @ale2992 hope all okay?

I've just got back from hospital scan to check for cysts etc. All clear. Just an x-ray now to check fallopian tubes and she said if all clear they will refer for IUI straight away! It all feels really scary now and strange to think might not conceive without help.

ale2992 · 04/03/2019 14:07

@flyingplum 4 weeks 5 days x

flyingplum · 04/03/2019 13:21

@ale2992 - oh no, I really hope not. Let us know how it goes - I had a chem last month and found it really poo emotionally. How far along are you?

BudgieBird · 04/03/2019 12:50

@Ekie, I think I see a faint line but it could be evaporation - I'd say test again tomorrow. Good luck!

ale2992 · 04/03/2019 12:49

@flyingplum I rang epu and they said that but it may be a chemical, still slightly spotting pink and brown and feeling cramps x

flyingplum · 04/03/2019 11:04

hugs

I have no personal experience, but from reading on here, it does seem to be. Hang on in there.

ale2992 · 04/03/2019 10:37

@flyingplum still spotting the tiniest amount but feeling slight cramps now, have rang epu and said it's normal

flyingplum · 04/03/2019 10:13

@ale2992 - how's it going?

Peachyx2505 · 04/03/2019 09:54

@WildFlower2019 😔 sorry lovely. Is spotting normal for you? Xx

WildFlower2019 · 04/03/2019 09:11

Oh I've now started spotting right on cue, when my app said I would before my period.... so I'm deffo thinking I'm out

WildFlower2019 · 04/03/2019 09:01

Update: I took a FRER with FMU (which was very diluted) and an IC with SMU (still diluted, an hour after the first).

Both tests read negative at the 3 (FRER) and 5 (IC) minute mark. But then under closer inspection, they do have very faint (as in, hold up a torch to see faint) lines. Both within the 10-minute mark before you have to discard.

I swear they have a bit of colour, but I had the same thing in previous cycles so I am disregarding. They're too faint to even pick up on camera. I know they are indents or evaps. I doubt it's anything to be excited about .... but you do still live in hope, don't you? I'll try my last FRER tomorrow at 12dpo. If that's negative, I'll deffo know I'm out then.

ale2992 · 04/03/2019 07:33

So I've started spotting this morning...

pitterpatterbaby · 04/03/2019 07:24

I can see something. Maybe test again tomorrow or get a frer?

Ekie · 04/03/2019 07:22

Morning All! Been lurking around for while, now asking your help. I m 12 or 13 dpo and AF due tomorrow. Did the test today in the morning. No patience to wait. Will test again tomorrow. Is it me or there is a very faint line?

@ wildflower2019 looks promising!! Fx it turns into something!! When are you going to rest again?

Parked my car yesterday and the car in front of my had ‘BFP’ in the number plate. I’m hoping it’s some kind of sign for this cycle ! 😂😂

PyjamasForever · 03/03/2019 20:02

Looks very promising @WildFlower2019!! When are you going to do another test?!

Paddypaws91 · 03/03/2019 19:43

Peachyx2505 · 03/03/2019 19:21

@WildFlower2019 I've read that article before and it does make a lot of sense! Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you 🤞🤞

Positive cheapy opk here tonight so I'm guessing ov will happen tomorrow! Then it's the dreaded 2ww!

WildFlower2019 · 03/03/2019 18:52

Hmmm but it showed up (probably) hours later and I got a negative four hours later (second morning urine)

Guess I'll wait and see...?!

Lozboz22 · 03/03/2019 18:29

@wildflower2019 that's a definite positive test!

WildFlower2019 · 03/03/2019 18:03

Hello everyone,

I'm around 10dpo today. 11dpo maximum.

I went to bed at 8pm last night, early because I was exhausted as we'd been out the previous two nights.

I hadn't had a drink from about 5pm onwards.

I woke up at 4am and decided to do a test. (So an 8 hour hold). I didn't want to disturb DH so didn't really look at the test too hard. Test looked negative at first glance and I fell back to sleep.

I woke up again at 8am and looked at the test. The test line was bright red!

I did a FRER at 8am (4 hour hold but at 4am I had drank about two pints of liquid) sadly, nothing. Not a sniff of a line.

Sensible me knows that I should disregard the test as the line appeared after 10 minutes but 1) it's so dark and red 2) I was probably very dehydrated so HCG concentrated? and 3) a clinician who works in lab settings said that tests only turn a colour if HCG is detected on this quite infamous thread (it always pops up on forums and in google. His messages start a few posts down and his name is Roy) forum.madeformums.com/pregnancy/160517-confusing-pregnancy-test-result-help.html

I've attached a photo. I know nobody can Give me answers and it will probably result in nothing at all, but I'll keep you all posted over the next few days anyway 🤣😂

The quality of the test is awful (now) because I carried it around in my dressing gown pocket this morning so it got a bit covered in fluff 🤣🤣

Hi guys, just checking in.

Had some sharp short on and off pains on the left side of my uterus from 8dpo-10dpo, but nothing since and no other symptoms to report.

How's everyone else waiting to test getting on?

BudgieBird · 03/03/2019 02:14

@Explorers10 The cheap strips measure lutenising hormone (LH). Shortly before ovulation, you have a surge of LH which the strips indicate if you get two lines of equal darkness. It only lasts a short period of time. The Clearblue Advanced looks for estrogen rise (which builds up over many days prior to ovulation and shows as "high fertility") and LH surge ("peak fertility").
