Explorers10 · 10/02/2019 17:45

So my AF has arrived today but looking forward to having another go at TTC for a baby in November 2019.

Cycle: 4
Age: 34
CD: 1

Anyone else want to join in the same position as we try to get through this next cycle together?

@wildflower2019 sorry AF got you. I also got pregnant first cycle with DS and this time has been a longer, harder journey
@paddypaws91 I think its probably the start of AF. I had some light bleeding today but so light I'm not sure yet if it's the proper start of AF or if I have to wait a couple of days

Kinsella82 · 08/03/2019 17:42

@WildFlower2019 so sorry if AF has arrived. That's annoying. ESP after getting the BFP! Did the AF arrive properly or was it a bit of spotting by any chance?

Just coming to the end of AF now - it was a MUCH lighter one than last month which was the first "real" one since stopping the pill. So I'm super relieved it was lighter and a lot less painful cramps etc.
Really ready now to get going again this month!! Have bought a pile of IC OPKs and PG tests so I can POAS to my hearts content!
Gonna try SMEP as much as possible. DH is a farmer and lambing is getting into full swing now so it'll be harder to see him/get him alone but I'll do my best!!

Paddypaws91 · 08/03/2019 16:54

Thanks all. I don't really feel pregnant but also don't feel like AF is coming either, just feel in limbo.

May just bite the bullet and test when I get home from work. Will keep you posted xx

Explorers10 · 08/03/2019 13:00

@paddypaws91 let us know how you get on! The cramps earlier in week and no AF show sounds positive! Got fingers crossed for you. Not long to wait for me either but I don’t think I’ve been lucky this cycle as don’t feel pregnant. Definitely knew I was pregnant with baby number 1. Felt so different.

@wildflower2019 that’s a lovely essay! It sounds a bit similar as in I knew nothing and got pregnant 1st cycle and not googled anything or heard of mumsnet with my first. Trying to conceive 2nd and not happening 1st cycle was such a shock to the system. I’m so sorry that you had TFMR. We will get our BFP soon just need to be patient and it will happen when it suppose to happen

You haven't got too much longer to wait to test then 🤞🏼

I can't believe I haven't tested yet either! I knew I wasn't going to test before AF was due (I promised myself I wouldn't). I just keep imagining seeing a blank test and I'm scared to face the disappointment -it's backwards logic I know!

My husband is out tonight and I'm super busy tomorrow, so may test Sunday if AF is still a no show. Will keep you all posted!

WildFlower2019 · 08/03/2019 12:43

@Explorers10 first month! We weren't trying but we weren't preventing. We were just on honeymoon so didn't use contraception. I'd never even loaded up Mumsnet or a TTC website. I knew nothing! Just that there's a fertile window and you had to have sex within it to conceive! I only knew that from the period tracking app I downloaded a year before! Love how I didn't even know how my own body works.

Anyway, we only DTD twice as I ended up getting a bladder infection!!! And I think only one of those fell in the window.

I had decided I didn't have a cat in hells chance and fully prepared to start trying the month after. I even mentally prepared myself that it might take a long time. At the back of my mind, I've always wondered if I have something like PCOS.

Got home from holiday and just felt like it had worked because I suddenly had a super sensitive sense of smell. I also had a small IB at 6/7dpo. (Which I googled and learnt about).

So I decided to do a test (not even an early one, didn't know they existed - a clearblue) at 10/11dpo and it was BFP!

I then bought a frer from a chemist, not knowing what it was worrying that I couldn't rely on the result, thinking it was probably some janky rubbish!!! (It was the packaging that made me think that!)

Sorry for the essay haha...! I just like remembering the nicer stuff. It was an exciting time x

@Peachyx2505 thank you x

@Paddypaws91 good luck! Got everything crossed for you x x

Explorers10 · 08/03/2019 12:41

@paddypaws91

When you going to test? I think I would have caved and tested by now! I’m not sure the clearblue tests never gave me a static smiley face so not sure when I ovulated. My app is saying day 20 and that it’s due wed. Although my cycle is usually 28-30 days so I thinking sun-tues. I’m def testing tues morning as my vitamin pre conception tablets run out on mon eve so need to know which ones to buy going forward

@Explorers10 I know, I have to brace myself every time I go and just visualise seeing it so I'm prepared. It's madness isn't it!

AF was due yesterday and no sign so far today. I had strong cramps earlier in the week that have now died off 🤔 I am starting to wonder...

How many dpo are you now? ☺️

Explorers10 · 08/03/2019 12:05

@paddypaws91

When is your AF due? I hate going to the toilet for the fear of wiping and seeing pink 🧻

Peachyx2505 · 08/03/2019 11:55

@WildFlower2019 sorry AF has shown it's face. It's bloody typical isn't it? Wishing you lots of luck for next cycle 🤞🤞 xx

Way too early for symptoms here but I did burst out crying in the car on the way to the rubbish tip earlier 😂

Explorers10 · 08/03/2019 11:45

@wildflower2019 really sorry to hear AF has shown up. I hope you get your BFP soon. How many cycles did it take for your last pregnancy can I ask? I’m feeling no different so I reckon I’m out this month too

Paddypaws91 · 08/03/2019 09:08

Oh @WildFlower2019 isn't that always the sodding way! 😞

At least in a way it's closure, but I know that's not much comfort. Big hugs x

WildFlower2019 · 08/03/2019 08:47

I can't make it up! I hit publish on my post and go for a wee and literally, it looks like AF has started.

Ah well. I did say I want to know either way!

WildFlower2019 · 08/03/2019 08:40

Still no AF here either. It was technically due yesterday, but sometimes my cycles are a day or two out of whack. So, I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up. I'm now 15dpo.

I've run out of pregnancy tests this morning. DH says if there's nothing by the time he gets home from work, he'll pick up some for me.

I had possibly the squintiest of squinters on my last IC last night (found at the back of a cupboard!) but DH thinks the test was too flooded to start with and took a long time to dry so we must discount it. I only did it after a 3-hour hold too.

I just think if I WAS pregnant, my tests would show blazing positives today! And the FRERs would have picked something up earlier this week.

I'm sure AF will be here any minute...

I might go pee on my last remaining ovulation test to scratch the itch so to speak. Girl's gotta have a hobby, right?

I just want to know one way or the other!

Paddypaws91 · 07/03/2019 22:46

@dragonmummy17 when is AF due? Could it be implantation?

AF still hasn't arrived for me, but feeling incredibly nauseous and still crampy. I feel like it's imminent, but have been saying that for 4 days now..🙈 can't bring myself to test when it feels like it is just about to start..arghhh!!

Explorers10 · 07/03/2019 20:37

@ale2992 it might just be hormonal. Low progesterone can cause your body to not stay pregnant.

OP posts:
dragonmummy17 · 07/03/2019 20:15

I'm not feeling positive tonight... 10dpo and I am spotting...

ale2992 · 07/03/2019 18:56

@flyingplum I think I'll make the appointment but I'm prepared to hear that I'll have to wait. I have no conditions that I'm aware of and I do have a 10 year old son from a previous relationship. I think this is what worries my other half, he thinks it him I think. Whereas I think it's possibly me as we don't seem to have an issue with conceiving but staying pregnant is the issue if you get what I mean which makes me think the issue lies with me and not him.

flyingplum · 07/03/2019 18:50

@ale2992 - I went to mine and got referred for tests starting next cycle. But they generally ask you to wait a year (we've been trying since Jan 2017). I think with miscarriage they don't consider it an issue until there are 3 consecutively, but it might be worth making an appt anyway if you want to speak to someone? Do you have any underlying conditions (pcos, endometriosis etc) that you know if?

flyingplum · 07/03/2019 18:45

Need a rant...OH's five day job has turned into a 6 day job and so would need to do a flying visit up the M1...bit we don't know if it's actually worth it because my ov date is always so unpredictable. I didn't want to become this person 😭😁

Paddypaws91 · 07/03/2019 16:10

@WildFlower2019 thank you xx

Constantly going to the toilet to check if it's arrived, think my work colleagues think I have a problem Blushhaha.

WildFlower2019 · 07/03/2019 13:29

Good luck @paddypaws91 got everything crossed for you.

xx

Paddypaws91 · 07/03/2019 13:22

You're not out yet @WildFlower2019

I'm 15dpo today and nothing as yet either. Going to hold off testing until the weekend on the off chance I ovulated late (I had that weird spotting at 2dpo).

Good luck!

WildFlower2019 · 07/03/2019 12:40

Hi everyone

14dpo and bfn this morning. On a whim, I did an OPK and it was positive. I know it means nothing, but I suppose I live in hope!

AF due today but she's stayed away so far.

I had two little bits of spotting earlier this week but nothing since. a
Again, part of me hoping it was an implantation bleed!

I'm still crossing everything but know it won't be my month.
