Had an awful incident happen last night, a really strange man rocked up when I was at the farm alone sorting my horses out... he cornered me in a stable, in a barn & kept following me everywhere making really inappropriate comments about what I was wearing etc. Managed to get away & lock myself in the car. The farmer (farm owner) got there quite quickly & scared him off, but really shook me up. So spent most of last night on the phone to the police sorting that out. We live in a really quiet, rural area with zero crime so was really shocking & unexpected.
Turns out the farmers DIL knows who he is & apparently he has severe special needs, but is harmless, & she had made an offhand comment about doing some strimming up there, so at least he is not a complete stranger, but I don't think he'll be coming back!

It is really unfair isn't it Frazzle. Life just sucks sometimes and there's literally nothing we can do about it except go with the flow. I felt like that when DH's mum was ill and then died, the unfairness of it all makes you want to scream but there's no point.

edidxb that's so much stuff! It's really great that your Dr seems so on board. I really hope that this is it for you! How long do you have to do the clexane injections for?

Good news for me - DH is coming back early and will be home tonight so we should definitely be able to catch the egg. Now I just hope that it's a good one and that my lining has built up enough to allow it to implant!

Jetlag is the worst. My temperature was very low this morning, seems like when I travel west my temp goes really high for a couple of days and when I travel east it goes really low. Hoping for a rise tomorrow or the day after.

@tigsy I am taking:

1. 5mg folic acid compared to the 400mcg you get in pregnancy vitamins. So a super dose!
2. 75mg aspirin
3. 1000 vitamin d
4. Osteocare
5. Pregnacare
6. Duphaston (oral progesterone)
7. Endometrin (vaginal pessary progesterone)
8. Clexane (blood thinning injections)

They were all prescribed by my doctor who is a British OB/GYN. However it's much easier to get things prescribed here because of health insurance.

In my 1st two pregnancies I had low progesterone, the first particularly low. However I took progesterone as a result of the tests with both and both ended in miscarriages. There is lots of evidence that says low progesterone is a sign that a pregnancy will end in miscarriage and taking it won't do anything to help. However there is also evidence on the contrary.

This time I haven't had any blood tests. The doctor asked me whether I wanted them and we decided it wouldn't make any difference. She said nothing she prescribed me would do me any harm if taken properly so best to just do everything I can. My concern about progesterone is that it can mask a miscarriage and make a pregnancy last longer even when it has finished. But she told me it doesn't matter as I can go for a scan which will show me if it's ok or not.

I am now at 6+1 or 6+3 depending on dates and I aim to have my first scan about 8 weeks.

The clexane injections are the worst as I have never stuck a needle in myself before and it is super painful as I inject and afterwards my middle is a stripe of bruises where I have done it everyday!!!

Not sure if that is helpful or not but it might be worth knowing.......

I think I'm just panicking about stuff and want a different outcome so keep thinking about what I can change based on last time.

I've been to Tesco and compared all of the vitamins.

I've found Tesco do their own range that have slightly lower values (around a third less) than pregnacare range for most things apart from folic and vit d
I've decided to try those for a month as a more gentle ease in to stuff as I think if nothing else it is a compromise between my anxiety and needing extra stuff for my body x

@Tigsy I would have thought the supplements help to prevent miscarriage rather than the other way round.

@Betty I am sure you will be able to have another child! I too have been trying to come to terms with never having another. I have managed to mostly separate my feelings from my boys, but I know what you mean, I do sometimes look at them and think about what is missing, and likely to remain missing. I am loving the dog knickers, I have never seen that before!

I'm back home now and we managed to dtd before DH went off. I think he'll be back late on Thursday so hopefully even if Thursday is o day there'll be some sperm left up there from today. I think it'll be hard to tell when o is for me as jetlag throws bbt out so I'm expecting some unusually high temperatures for the next couple of days. It should happen soon though, I've never had as much ewcm as I've got today!

@Rose68 I wouldn't have thought they would have caused delayed Ov either but I'm ALMOST certain they did! I'm also convinced they made me constipated last time and it was the straining that caused the bleeding which started the whole epu journey off.
I'm going to call gp on Thursday when I'm officially 'late' and see what she says
I'm going to ask if they can test my progesterone too I think. X

No idea you could get those! They look fab. DDog has just finished hers and I did feel awful keeping her in the kitchen for a few days... she is very cute Betty, I love spaniels.

Just now need to wait till Friday to find out how they are going to reset my body and hope DH doesn't decide to pull the plug on the whole TTC thing due to the stress

I spent a long time last night thinking. I lit a candle and thought about my losses, @frazzle's little Emily and all of us who are dealing with loss. For the first time I had to connect with the sadness that I may not have another baby - my body is doing all sorts of inexplicable things and it might just be that it will never work out. At the moment that feels like total heartbreak, but I need to start normalising it a bit in case it turns out to be the reality. If I don't, I will get stuck in the grief phase and won't be able to look at DS without thinking about the others I wanted, but couldn't have.

Sorry, that was a bit of a miserable post! Blame it on the hormones. So to lighten the mood, my little dog also has her period just now and so she is wearing the dog knickers of shame (much to everybody else's amusement)

Yeah internal. Know from previous they would definitely see yolk sac and fetal pole by this stage although nurse was trying to be encouraging. Literally just a big gaping hole on the screen.

@Tigsy please take the supplements, your baby needs them. Supplements really won’t cause miscarriage x

@Pegase I’m so sorry, I have tears in my eyes reading / writing this. I can’t believe it’s happening again for you. I swear it’s that brown discharge that is such an ominous sign. Sending you loads of love and I hope you have someone with you to support you. x
