Oooh I thought you'd found it. Still frustrating you've got to buy another one.

I got a marketing email from Vimeo this morning and remembered I used it when the DC were really little. So I logged in and found videos I haven't seen for years! They were so cute. I found one of DS1 (now 13) singing front of stage dressed as a king during his nativity play. He is singing so loud and proud and he's only about 4 years old - I cried!
Then there were three others all of DS2 (now nearly 10). One with him BLW for the first time, another of him using a sippy cup for the first time, and another when he was only a few days old - I just can't get over how tiny the boys were back then. I really miss having them as little babies and I wish I'd thought about DS2 possibly being my last back then

Fortunately it wasn’t expensive, about £30ish I think. I can’t fix it cause I can’t even find it 😩 We did see it scare some birds out of the tree as it disappeared 😬

Frazzlerock · 21/02/2019 12:18

Good news @Kinsters! Get SHAGGING!!!!

@Rose oh shit! Was it very expensive? Can it be fixed? I know DS2's drone can have spare parts bought for it..

Rose68 · 21/02/2019 12:13

Oh bugger, the boys & I are out flying their drones & I flew DS2’s into a tree. Totally my fault, spent ages looking for it, DS2 is in tears. I guess I will have to buy him a new one 😩

tigsyboo · 21/02/2019 12:12

Not teaching you to suck eggs kinsters, but don't forget to get ur DH some thrush treatment too if you are dtd while you have it or you will just yo-yo it back and forth 🥴

Kinsters · 21/02/2019 12:09

Thanks rather. And Frazzle you're right that it would be much less stressful to try and not put time lines on things.

I got a positive opk this evening! So dtd will carry on for the next few days. Thrush is feeling a little better so should be OK.

ratherbeshowjumping · 21/02/2019 10:26

@Kinsters I'm so sorry, I missed your post about you having a down day Flowers this cycle is my last chance to have a baby born in 2019 too. It's so shit isn't it. I was so excited to be a mum of a chubby 5 month old at Christmas. Nothing to make you feel better but you're not alone in feeling crap about that Brew

Lol @tigsy don't get him started on Ovia... the creators of Ovia may as well be Nazi sympathisers in his eyes.
DH has also literally made the exact same comments about Rwanda/Victorian times.... it's obviously some sort of wizardry and absolutely nothing to do with the fact that most people in developing countries don't have access to Sky Sports in their bedrooms.

Honestly @Frazzle, they're a pain aren't they? It is really hard work.
Ps. I'm sure you will either have a baby or a bump by Spring next year to celebrate your wedding x

Frazzlerock · 21/02/2019 09:40

Same as DP! It's all utter BS. He only ignores the fact I do all this as it 'brings you comfort'. Otherwise, it is all shit. And he is not convinced that we can only get pregnant at one specific time.
He's actually remarkably bright, but somehow this just doesn't add up to him.

He is still convinced that the sonographer was right about my dates being wrong in our last pregnancy.
I can't be arsed to argue.

@Kinsters Flowers If it helps you, I think it is best not to put a time limit on this. Although I am increasingly wondering if I still won't be pregnant by the time we get married next Spring, or I have to find a dress that will fit a bump, rather than have our baby there at the wedding.

OP posts:
Kinsters · 21/02/2019 09:11

God how tiresome for both of you. There are plenty of things they don't/didn't have in Rwanda/Victorian times...doesn't mean that's what we should all be aiming for!

tigsyboo · 21/02/2019 08:53

Prove HIS point - not mine! Bad typo! Lol

tigsyboo · 21/02/2019 08:51

@ratherbeshowjumping ..... lucky..... hmmm yes.... I feel so lucky to be married to a DH (dick head!) 😂
Mine even pissed on an OPK as he was convinced it would show him ovulating to prove my point ... it didn't.... but that's not the point okay?! 🤭

ratherbeshowjumping · 21/02/2019 08:46

@Betty lol definitely barking up the wrong tree...

@tigsy I'm so glad your DH is on the same page. We are both so lucky to have DHs who can spot the errors of our ways! Grin

@Kinsters not at all, which I find surprising as he's so bright in other ways and loves learning about how things work.
Except OPKs. Because they're a scam.

Ffs not what you want to be dealing with first thing on a Thursday morning.

tigsyboo · 21/02/2019 08:46

Oh he's interested in science.... just not THIS science . This science is bullshit.
OPKs - bullshit
Fertility monitors - bullshit
Temping - bullshit
Fertility friend - bullshit (are you seeing a theme)

We are now moving on to HCG - bullshit
Progesterone tests - bullshit

Apparently as they don't have this is Rwanda and the Victorian times and there are still many a baby born it's all hype made up to prey on gullible twats like us.
End of discussion.

Kinsters · 21/02/2019 08:36

Are they not interested in science or biology at all tigsy and rather? My DH was quite dismissive of all the TTC science to begin with but then got more interested when I explained it to him and talked about scientific studies. Though that wouldn't help if they're uninterested and won't listen to your explanation in the first place.

tigsyboo · 21/02/2019 08:29

@ratherbeshowjumping my DH is exactly the same!
He calls it 'all bullshit' and just fake preying on 'gullible dickheads' (that's us btw)
He cant explain how the cbfm and internet sticks both show LH surge / peak at the same time tho.... that's just witchcraft I guess!

Fucking men!!!

BettySwoll0cks · 21/02/2019 08:13

Thanks @frazzle .. this means I'll be obsessing over 2 separate apps then! Will be interesting to see if they identify the same Ov date, although I think my OvaGraph app takes CM into account as well.

BettySwoll0cks · 21/02/2019 08:11

Wisdom indeed! I know we all want someone to blame for all of this, but I can't help thinking your DH is barking up the wrong tree 🧐

ratherbeshowjumping · 21/02/2019 08:07

Thought I would share a nugget of wisdom this morning from my oh-so-clever DH....

OPKs are the creation of the devil. If it wasn't for OPKs, I wouldn't be depressed that I've lost a baby. The reason I still cry 3 months on = OPKs.
Upset because I'm going on holiday bumpless (booked just before I found out I'm pg) = OPK!
Reason I cry when I got a BFN = OPK (even though I didn't even use one on that day...)
Everyone else seems to get pregnant without using OPKs (obviously he's conducted serious research) so the reason I'm not pregnant yet... yep you guessed it... OPKs!!!

So, whatever you're doing ladies, don't use OPKs because they're clearly the reason why some of us don't have BFPs yet 🤷🏽‍♀️👍🏼Hmm

I'm actually surprised he hasn't seen the link between world poverty, ISIS, Trump & OPKs yet.

Fuming does not sum it up this morning 😡🙈

Kinsters · 21/02/2019 05:35

Tigsy I love yakult and drink at least one a day! Doesn't seem to help me with thrush much though.

I'm having a down day today. If I don't get pregnant this cycle then next cycle is a no hope because DH is away. So then there's no chance of a 2019 baby. At least the longer ovulation is delayed this cycle I can inch closer and closer to being able to try next cycle.

Frazzlerock · 20/02/2019 21:40

PS I hope none of you lovely pregnant ones leave or feel they can't share stuff on here.
I'd hate that.

OP posts:
Frazzlerock · 20/02/2019 21:38

@Betty no just those four things. It's supposedly so accurate it doesn't need the extra input. It uses core temp which they say is far more accurate than basal body temp.
I only used Ovusense once and got preg that cycle because it told me early enough when I was ovulating without any extra input.
Since we lost that baby I've used it along side the free version of FF but I still use Ovusense as my main ovulation prediction.
Also don't use it while you're on your period. I don't know why, maybe discolouration or unreliable temps. Once your period has stopped you can start using it xx

OP posts:
BettySwoll0cks · 20/02/2019 21:08

@frazzle I need your help already with ovusense! Does it not chart anything other than temp/period/sex/hpt? Anywhere you can put in CM or other signs/symptoms?

Buggles1 · 20/02/2019 19:19

Thanks @InDreamland... I only access on my mobile and the website isn’t that friendly for searching etc so I’ve tended to stick to what I know... will have a look though!

InDreamland · 20/02/2019 18:50

@Buggles1 have you seen on the pregnancy board there is a thread for those pregnant after loss. I was considering joining that when I got my BFP in November because I was so anxious after having the mc in July. I had a quick read and the ladies there sound very nice. They'll understand the anxieties of pregnancy after mc. I'm not saying to leave us here but just suggesting an additional line of support for you. I'm hoping I will actually be able to join them one day soon and stay on there until I have my baby in my arms at home x

Buggles1 · 20/02/2019 18:41

I second what everyone else has said Frazzle... we’re all here for each other, every element of this depressing rollercoaster.
I also felt bad about announcing my bfp. I’ve convinced myself it isn’t going to end well again and so I really appreciate having this group for support. The thought of a group similar to the one we were in previously - where women are discussing names and schools straight after their bfp, like the positive outcome is inevitable - makes me feel really uncomfortable and upset.
